Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Tarrant County

Tarrant County, TX

From the 1960s and 1970s ranch homes in Smithfield — the oldest residential section of NRH, annexed from the original Tarrant County farming community, where single-story brick ranches with half-landings and narrow stairwells to converted attic bedrooms are the typical install — to the 1980s two-stories of Meadow Lakes and Diamond Loch with carpeted straight runs and standard 36-inch stairway widths, and the post-2000 new-urbanist townhomes of HomeTown where compact-profile rails handle the narrower modern stairwell, our team has mapped every staircase pattern in North Richland Hills. We know which Riviera floor plans have the split-level transition that only works with a curved rail, which Iron Horse-area homes have the wide post-1990 stairs that install in three hours flat, and which Meadow Lakes HOAs require architectural review notification before install day. We also cover Watauga, Hurst, Bedford, Colleyville, Richland Hills, and Haltom City without travel fees.

1968 Smithfield ranch — straight rail on original dark oak treads

Smithfield, TX Installed March 2026

A 1968 ranch in the Smithfield section of NRH with dark oak treads up to a converted second-floor bedroom. Mrs. Denton’s first words were ‘I’m not replacing those stairs.’ We color-matched the rail to the existing oak, bolted the track into the treads without touching a single spindle, and positioned the beige seat flush against the wall at the bottom landing. The warm hardwood staircase kept its original character — her neighbor came over the following week and walked right past it.

1975 Riviera split-level — curved rail threading a 90° landing turn

Riviera, TX Installed February 2026

A 1975 split-level in the Riviera section with six steps from the entry to the living room, a 90° landing turn, and eight more steps to the bedrooms. Mr. Petersen’s knee replacement made the landing transfer dangerous. We laser-scanned the geometry, fabricated a curved rail that carries the full run in one continuous track, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the upper landing so he steps off onto the hallway floor. The brown upholstered seat parks at the top where a chandelier lights the entry below.

Diamond Loch cottage-feel two-story — compact rail beside the hall cabinet

Diamond Loch, TX Installed January 2026

A cozy 1982 two-story in Diamond Loch with stone-tile treads and a narrow hallway at the bottom of the stairs. A wooden sideboard with family photos sat against the wall at the stair base, and the family didn’t want to move it. We fitted a compact-profile straight rail, positioned the brown-upholstered seat to clear the sideboard by four inches when parked at the bottom, and bolted the track into the tile treads. Mr. Ybarra’s daughter said the lift looked like it had always been part of the house.

Meadow Lakes raised entry — weather-sealed outdoor lift on stone paving

Meadow Lakes, TX Installed December 2025

A raised front entry in the Meadow Lakes section with five exterior stone-paved steps up to the porch and a covered overhang that doesn’t extend far enough to keep rain off the treads. Mrs. Garza’s father moved in after a hip fracture and could not manage the entry steps without assistance. We installed an outdoor straight rail with the full Texas heat package — UV-stabilized cream seat, high-heat lubricant rated to 140°F, and a sealed motor housing. The stone paving anchors held without issue.

Iron Horse-area two-story — straight rail on brown carpeted stairs

Iron Horse, TX Installed November 2025

A 1992 two-story near Iron Horse Golf Course with 14 carpeted treads in a neutral brown and a tight newel post at the bottom landing. Mrs. Tillman’s husband had fallen twice on the way down. We bolted a straight rail through the carpet into the tread lumber beneath, matched the brown seat upholstery to the existing carpet tones, and added a swivel-exit at the top so he steps off onto the tiled landing. The seat folds flat when parked so Mrs. Tillman still walks the stairs around it without squeezing.

Platform Lift

HomeTown townhome — indoor wheelchair platform for a veteran in a power chair

HomeTown, TX Installed October 2025

A post-2005 HomeTown townhome with a split-level entry — four steps between the front door and the main living floor. Mr. Wallace is a Vietnam veteran in a power wheelchair, and the VA HISA grant through VA North Texas covered the full cost. We installed an inclined platform lift with a flat black anti-slip deck, yellow high-visibility safety edges, and a keyed call station at the entry. The platform folds up against the wall when not in use. He rolls in from the garage and reaches the kitchen independently.

Common Questions

Everything North Richland Hills Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in North Richland Hills right now?

Straight rails in standard NRH two-stories — the 1980s homes in Meadow Lakes and Diamond Loch, the post-2000 HomeTown townhomes, the ranches along Smithfield — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you’ll need for the split-level landings in Riviera and older Smithfield ranches with a 90° turn, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front entries and covered porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in NRH than Fort Worth or Arlington?

Equipment prices are the same across Tarrant County — we don’t inflate quotes based on ZIP code. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: a curved rail through a 1965 Smithfield half-landing takes more fabrication time than a straight bolt-on in a 1990 Diamond Loch two-story. We detail every line item on the written quote. No surprise surcharges.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language consultations?

No. Every Mid-Cities assessment can be conducted entirely in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and handles our Haltom City and Boulevard 26 corridor calls personally. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is also available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

Any hidden fees for HOA homes in NRH?

Our quote already includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. Texas Property Code Chapter 202 requires HOAs to approve reasonable accessibility modifications, and we have submission packets on file for the major NRH, Colleyville, and Southlake architectural review boards. What can occasionally add a small cost is when a committee requires its own engineer’s letter — if that happens, we tell you before we start, not after.

A word from Luis

The call I get most often in North Richland Hills comes from an adult daughter — usually in Dallas or Houston, sometimes out of state entirely — who just learned her parent stopped using the upstairs bedroom six months ago and never mentioned it. The 1970s Smithfield ranches and the 1980s Diamond Loch two-stories were built for young families, not for the 78-year-old widower gripping the wall on the way down to the kitchen every morning.

I’ve been doing this in Tarrant County for fifteen years. I know which Riviera split-levels need a curved rail and which Iron Horse staircases are a straight three-hour job. I’ll be at the door inside 24 hours with a laser, a written quote good for 30 days, and no pressure. En español si lo prefiere.
