Stairlift Service Across Pulaski County

Pulaski County, AR

From Park Hill's 1920s craftsman bungalows — where the conversation is always about preserving original hardwood treads and threading the rail past aged spindles — to Lakewood's 1950s ranch-style homes clustered around the six lakes and the Old Mill, where split-level entries and half-flight landings are the norm, our team has measured every stair shape this city builds.

In Indian Hills, 1970s and 1980s brick ranches feature the classic six-step foyer rise to the main living area, sometimes with a 90° landing turn requiring a curved rail. Sylvan Hills ranges from 1940s enclosed stairwells with narrow treads to newer construction where straight rails install in under three hours. Levy offers a mix of older homes and newer development with wider, more straightforward stairs.

1924 Park Hill bungalow — straight rail on original dark oak treads

Park Hill, AR Installed March 2026

A 1924 craftsman bungalow in the Park Hill Historic District with original dark oak treads and an aged newel post the family wanted left untouched. Mrs. Whitfield's first instruction was clear: don't damage the original woodwork. We bolted a straight rail into the dark oak treads along the right side of the staircase, mounted the beige seat at the bottom landing, and left every spindle and newel post exactly as they were. The warm wood tones of the historic staircase are unchanged.

Indian Hills split-level — curved rail bending 90° at the upper-floor landing

Indian Hills, AR Installed February 2026

A 1978 brick ranch in Indian Hills with the classic split-level layout — six steps from the foyer to the living area, a 90° turn at the upper landing around the half-wall balustrade, then the hallway to the bedrooms. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a single curved rail that bends around the balustrade, and parked the brown-upholstered seat at the upper floor level. Two framed family photos hang on the wall next to the landing. Mr. Tanner steps off directly onto the hallway floor.

Lakewood ranch — straight rail tucked beside den furniture on tile treads

Lakewood, AR Installed January 2026

A 1956 ranch-style home in the Lakewood neighborhood near the Old Mill. The staircase to the upper bedrooms is tucked into a compact hallway beside a wooden sideboard with a potted plant on top — the kind of cozy, traditional interior you find in the original Lakewood homes. The tile-topped treads are original to the 1950s construction. We installed a straight rail with a brown-upholstered seat that parks next to the sideboard.

Sylvan Hills — outdoor lift on a raised stone-paved front porch

Sylvan Hills, AR Installed December 2025

A 1960s home in Sylvan Hills with a raised front porch, six exterior stone-paved steps, and direct exposure to Arkansas humidity. Mr. Hargrove is a retired Army NCO who served at Camp Robinson and qualified for a HISA grant through the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. The outdoor lift has a cream weather-resistant seat, stainless fasteners, and an IP54 sealed motor housing. The stone paving at the entry was left intact. HISA covered the full $6,800 grant amount.

Levy neighborhood — brown seat on carpeted stairs at the landing

Levy, AR Installed November 2025

A newer home in the Levy neighborhood with a carpeted staircase and a tiled landing at the bottom. Mrs. Odom had a knee replacement scheduled at Baptist Health and needed the lift working before she came home. Her son called on a Wednesday, we measured on Thursday, and installed the following Monday. The brown-upholstered seat blends with the carpet tones and parks at the landing. The tiled floor at the bottom meets the carpeted treads cleanly.

Platform Lift

Camp Robinson area — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a disabled veteran

Camp Robinson Area, AR Installed October 2025

A home near Camp Joseph T. Robinson where Mr. Booker — a 30-year National Guard veteran with a service-connected spinal injury — returned home in a wheelchair and could not transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat anti-slip surface, yellow high-visibility safety edges, and a white safety rail in the indoor stairway. Mr. Booker rolls his wheelchair onto the platform, rides up the indoor stairway, and rolls off at the top independently. The HISA grant covered the maximum $6,800 and the ARChoices waiver covered the remainder.

Common Questions

Everything North Little Rock Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in North Little Rock right now?

Straight rails in standard Pulaski County homes — the ranches in Indian Hills, the bungalows in Park Hill, the split-levels in Lakewood — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you'll need for most Indian Hills split-levels with a mid-landing turn and some Park Hill homes with angled upper landings, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in North Little Rock than across the river in Little Rock?

Equipment prices are the same across central Arkansas — we don't charge differently by side of the river. Install labor can vary slightly for unusual conditions: preserving original hardwood in Park Hill bungalows, compensating for settled foundations in homes built before 1950, or threading a curved rail through a tight Tudor archway. We tell you the line items upfront.

Is there a travel fee for homes out toward Sherwood or Jacksonville?

No travel fee anywhere in Pulaski County — that includes North Little Rock, Sherwood, Jacksonville, Maumelle, and the Camp Robinson area. If you're farther out in Cabot, Conway, or Lonoke, the assessment is still free; the only variable is scheduling.

What if the quote comes back higher than I expected?

We walk you through every line item — rail, seat, battery, labor, permits if any — so you see exactly where the number comes from. No bundled mystery fees. If ARChoices or HISA covers part or all of it, we show you the net cost after the grant. If financing makes more sense, we run the numbers side by side during the same visit. The quote is valid for 30 days.

A word from Luis

Most North Little Rock families call me after something has already happened — a fall on the narrow staircase in a Park Hill bungalow, a parent who stopped going upstairs in a Lakewood ranch during ice season and never started again, a daughter in Memphis worried about her father alone in an Indian Hills split-level with no family nearby.

My job is simple: get to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells.
