Stairlift Service Across Faulkner County

Faulkner County, AR

Historic District homes along Prince, Cross, and Faulkner streets have original turned banisters and century-old treads — we bolt into treads only, never touching original millwork. East Conway split-level ranches from the 1960s almost always need a curved rail through the landing turn between the foyer and upper bedrooms. Windcrest and Jefferson Place two-story colonials from the 1990s have wide carpeted staircases where a straight rail installs in under three hours. Rosewood Terrace raised porches with stone entries collect ice during January storms — our outdoor units are sealed against central Arkansas humidity and rated for freezing rain. Across Faulkner County, older homes on 60-amp panels may need a dedicated circuit, which we permit through the City of Conway.

1903 Prince Street Victorian — rail matched to original oak treads

Historic District, AR Installed March 2026

A Queen Anne Victorian on Prince Street with original turned spindles, dark hardwood treads, and a single straight run from the parlor to the second floor. Mrs. Callaway's daughter teaches at UCA and noticed her mother gripping the railing with both hands on every trip upstairs. We matched the rail color to the original oak, bolted the track into the treads without touching a single spindle, and parked the beige seat at the bottom landing out of the sightline from the front parlor. The warm wood tones of the stairwell stayed intact.

1965 East Conway split-level — curved rail through a 90° landing turn

East Conway, AR Installed February 2026

A 1965 ranch in East Conway with the classic split-level layout — a half-flight up from the foyer, a 90° landing turn, then eight more steps to the bedrooms. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the upper landing, and installed a swivel-exit seat so Mr. Dawson steps off onto the upstairs hallway floor. The modern interior has framed art on the stairwell walls and a chandelier above the landing — none of it was touched. He slept in his own bed that night for the first time since Thanksgiving.

Windcrest colonial — compact stairway, three-hour install

Windcrest, AR Installed January 2026

A 1990s colonial in Windcrest with stone-look tile treads and a compact stairway next to a wooden sideboard in the foyer. Mrs. Patterson's son drove down from Springfield for the assessment. The cozy traditional interior left little room — the brown-upholstered seat parks at the bottom landing beside the cabinet and a potted plant, folding flat so the grandchildren still pass without squeezing. A cottage-feel home where every inch counted, and the slim-profile rail delivered.

Rosewood Terrace raised porch — sealed for Arkansas humidity and ice

Rosewood Terrace, AR Installed December 2025

A raised front porch with stone-paved entry steps and no handrail — standard for the older homes in Rosewood Terrace. Mr. Bridges is a retired Air Force master sergeant who qualified for a HISA grant through the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. The cream-colored weather-resistant seat rides up to the covered porch landing under natural daylight from above. Every bracket is sealed against the humidity that sits on Faulkner County from May through October, and the motor housing held through the January 2026 ice storm without a service call.

Jefferson Place two-story — carpeted stairs, swivel-exit at the landing

Jefferson Place, AR Installed November 2025

A two-story home in Jefferson Place with carpeted stairs and a landing area where the hallway meets the upper floor. Mrs. Langley had fallen twice at the top where the carpet meets tile. The brown-upholstered seat matches the carpet tones and rides a straight rail from the tiled foyer to the carpeted upper landing. The swivel-exit rotates 90° so she steps off onto the hallway floor instead of the top step. Wall-mounted light switches stayed untouched — the rail bolts into treads only.

Platform Lift

East Conway ranch — indoor wheelchair platform lift for post-surgery recovery

East Conway, AR Installed October 2025

Mr. Whitfield uses a wheelchair after double knee replacement surgery at Baptist Health in Conway and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift on the indoor stairway between the main floor and the lower level — a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges and a white handrail. The orange-toned walls of the stairwell frame the unit, and a window provides natural light. His physical therapist confirmed the platform dimensions clear his wheelchair with room to spare. Three months later he rolls on and off independently.

Common Questions

Everything Conway Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Conway right now?

Straight rails in standard Conway homes run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you'll need for split-level entries and any staircase with a landing turn, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Conway than Little Rock or other Arkansas cities?

Equipment prices are the same across Arkansas — we don't inflate quotes based on ZIP code. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: preserving original banisters in the Historic District homes along Prince and Cross streets, compensating rail mounts for settled treads in pre-1940 houses, and the occasional electrical upgrade in an older home still running a 60-amp panel. We tell you the line items upfront. No surprise surcharges.

Is a used or refurbished stairlift worth it in central Arkansas?

For straight staircases, a certified refurbished unit saves 30–40% off a new install — we carry factory-reconditioned straight rails with new upholstery, new batteries, and a 2-year warranty. We do not sell refurbished units without replacing the battery to our humidity-and-ice-rated spec, because factory-default sealed lead-acid batteries fail when the grid drops during a January ice storm. For curved rails, refurbished is almost never an option because the rail is custom-built to a specific staircase. Ask us about refurbished inventory during the assessment.

Any hidden fees for homes in the Conway Historic District?

Our quote covers everything: the rail, the seat, installation labor, battery backup, and the first service visit. The only add-on we occasionally see in the Historic District or older East Conway homes is a dedicated electrical circuit when the existing outlet near the stairs can't handle the load on an aging panel. If that's needed, we tell you during the assessment, not after. A new circuit adds $200–$400 and is handled by our Arkansas-licensed electrician.

A word from Luis

Most Conway families reach out after a close call — a stumble on steep treads in a Prince Street Victorian, a father who moved his bedroom downstairs after knee surgery, a daughter at UCA who drives past her mother's house every day and worries about the split-level entry in East Conway.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. If you're a veteran connected to Little Rock AFB, I walk you through the HISA paperwork the same day.
