Stairlift Service Across Ellis County

Ellis County, TX

We install across Midlothian's fastest-growing residential communities. Lawson Farms and Somercrest are two-story-heavy subdivisions where the master bedroom sits upstairs - straight rails on hardwood treads are the most common install here. Ridgepoint off 14th Street has wider lots and older one-story homes with staircases leading to bonus rooms above the garage. Hawkins Meadow attracts empty-nesters moving to single-story layouts, but its two-story sections still need curved rails. Massey Meadows homes off Mt Zion Road are carpeted-stair builds from the 2000s. Bridgewater near Midlothian Parkway has newer narrow-stairwell builds - we spec the slim-rail option. We reach all of Ellis County, including Waxahachie and Mansfield.

Straight

Straight Rail on Dark Hardwood, Lawson Farms

Lawson Farms, TX Installed March 2026

The Bennetts' two-story Lawson Farms home has dark oak treads and a straight 14-foot staircase up to the master bedroom. Luis measured on a Tuesday and installed the cream-colored straight rail Thursday morning. The rail bolts directly to the oak treads at five mounting brackets - the drywall on both sides was never touched. The seat parks at the bottom landing, folded against the rail so the hallway stays open.

Curved Rail at Upper Landing, Somercrest

Somercrest, TX Installed February 2026

The Okonkwos' Somercrest home has a curved staircase that wraps 90 degrees around a half-wall at the upper landing - a common Bloomfield Homes layout. Luis spent an hour with the laser measuring the geometry of the turn. One week later the custom-bent brown rail arrived and was installed in five hours. The seat parks at the top floor outside the master bedroom door - half-wall untouched, all brackets in the treads.

Straight

Straight Rail on Stone Treads, Ridgepoint

Ridgepoint, TX Installed January 2026

The Gutierrez home in Ridgepoint off 14th Street has stone tile treads and a tight cottage-style entry with a wooden sideboard at the base of the stairs. Luis worked around the sideboard - the brown seat parks two inches from the cabinet edge. Stone treads need carbide-tipped drill bits and a slower anchor-setting process, adding about 30 minutes to the install.

Outdoor

Outdoor Lift on Stone Porch, Hawkins Meadow

Hawkins Meadow, TX Installed April 2026

The Fletchers' Hawkins Meadow home has a rough stone-paved front porch with six steps and no handrail on the left side. Luis installed an IP55-rated outdoor stairlift with a cream-colored weather-sealed seat and aluminum rail. The rail is anchored into the stone with stainless steel expansion bolts. The seat cover, controls, and motor housing are all sealed against Ellis County's spring downpours and summer heat off US-287.

Straight

Straight Rail on Carpeted Stairs, Massey Meadows

Massey Meadows, TX Installed February 2026

The Thompsons' Massey Meadows home has carpeted stairs leading from the tiled entryway up to the bedrooms. The beige carpet nearly matched the brown seat upholstery, and the rail blended in from day one. Luis mounted the brackets through the carpet and pad into the sub-treads - the carpet was not cut or pulled back, just compressed around each bracket plate.

Platform Lift

Indoor Wheelchair Platform Lift, Mockingbird Heights

Mockingbird Heights, TX Installed December 2025

The Reyes family's Mockingbird Heights home needed a solution for their 14-year-old son, who uses a wheelchair full-time. Luis spec'd an inclined wheelchair platform lift - flat black deck with yellow safety edges, white handrail, and powered folding mechanism. The platform folds up vertically when not in use so family members can still walk the stairs. Rated to 600 lb. The install took five hours.

Common Questions

Everything Midlothian Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Midlothian, TX?

A straight stairlift starts at $2,800 installed. Curved rails run from $9,000, since the rail is custom-bent to match your stair turn. Outdoor lifts start at $4,000. Heavy-duty models rated to 600 lb start at $5,050. All prices include the site assessment, rail, seat, installation, and a demo walkthrough. Financing runs $79/month.

Does the Midlothian building permit process add to stairlift costs?

No. Stairlifts bolt to the stair treads - not the wall framing - so they fall outside Midlothian's residential building permit requirements. No electrical permit either; the unit plugs into a standard 120V outlet. Your total is the equipment plus install labor, with no permit fees.

Why is a curved stairlift so much more than a straight one in Midlothian?

The curved rail is a single piece of aluminum bent on a CNC machine to match your specific stair geometry - the exact angle of the turn, the length of each flight, the intermediate landing. That custom fabrication and the laser-measurement visit add cost. In Midlothian, curved installs are most common in Ridgepoint and the older custom homes near 8th Street, where staircases wrap around half-walls or have 90-degree landings.

Are there any hidden costs with a Midlothian stairlift install?

No. The quoted price bundles the site measurement, the rail, the seat, all mounting hardware, the install labor, the demo, and the warranty registration. If your stairs need a hinge-rail section for a doorway at the landing - common in Lawson Farms floor plans where the stairs end near a half-bath - Luis will flag that during the assessment and include it in the quote up front.

A word from Luis

Midlothian is different from the older Dallas suburbs I work in. Most homes here were built after 2005 - two-story brick houses with a master upstairs, straight staircases, half-walls at the upper landing. Lawson Farms, Somercrest, Ridgepoint - I know the floor plans in those subdivisions cold. The straight-rail installs take about three hours. Curved ones need a site measurement first, usually an hour with the laser. We come back a week later and the rail fits the turn exactly.

One thing people here ask about is the heat. Texas summers get brutal, and folks worry about the rail in an unconditioned stairwell. The rail is anodized aluminum - it does not warp, does not rust. The motor and battery are sealed. Power outages during spring storms are common off US-287, so I always point out the battery backup. Four amp-hours - enough for 20 round trips with the power out. That matters in Ellis County.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Midlothian has been adding about 400 housing units a year for a decade. The two-story brick homes keep going up - and the master bedrooms keep going upstairs. If your stairs are becoming the daily hurdle, a stairlift is the simplest fix. Straight rail from $2,800, installed in a morning. Curved rail from $9,000, bent to your exact turn after a one-hour site measurement.

Call Luis at (800) 965-0350 to schedule a free in-home assessment. He covers every subdivision from Lawson Farms to Mockingbird Heights and can typically be at your door the next business day. No sales pitch - just measurements, a quote, and an install date if you want to move forward.
