Straight Stairlift

Bestseller

The workhorse of Grand Prairie's two-story tract homes and 1970s ranches. Over 70% of the stairlifts we install across Grand Prairie and the Mid-Cities are this model. A single straight run, the rail bolts to your stair treads (never into the wall), the seat and footrest fold up out of the way, and the battery backup keeps you moving through the next DFW thunderstorm outage. Every install ships with a heat-rated motor and high-humidity lubricant as standard. Most Grand Prairie installs wrap in under four hours.

Starting at $3,200 installed

What's Included

  • Battery backup for power outages
  • Swivel seat with safety lock
  • Two wireless remote controls
  • Soft start and soft stop motion
  • Fold-up seat, arms, and footrest
  • 10-year motor & gearbox warranty

Compared to Alternatives

vs Curved: 3x less expensive and installed in one visit. vs Home elevator: 10-15x less cost and no construction. vs Moving bedroom downstairs: Keeps your home exactly as it is.

Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Dallas County

Dallas County, TX

From the 1970s ranch subdivisions in North Grand Prairie — where short stair runs, slab foundations, and decades of Texas clay settlement shape every install — to the two-story tract homes in South Grand Prairie built between 1995 and 2010, our team has mapped every neighborhood. We know which Westchester subdivisions have the narrow newel post requiring a compact-profile rail, which Dalworth Park homes need shimmed brackets for foundation movement, and which Mountain Creek Lake properties require weather-sealed outdoor components. Grand Prairie sits at the crossroads of Dallas and Tarrant counties, so we also staff dedicated coverage for Arlington, Duncanville, Cedar Hill, and Mansfield — no waiting on a tech driving in from across the Metroplex.

South Grand Prairie two-story — every bedroom upstairs, installed in three hours

South Grand Prairie, TX Installed March 2026

A 2002 two-story tract home in South Grand Prairie with 14 carpeted treads and every bedroom on the second floor. Mr. Nguyen’s mother had been sleeping on the living room couch for two months after a fall. We measured on Tuesday, installed on Thursday, and she was back in her own bedroom that evening. The rail bolts into the stair treads only — never the wall, never the carpet tack strip.

Westchester split-level — curved rail through a 90° landing past the half-wall

Westchester, TX Installed February 2026

A 1990s split-level in the Westchester subdivision with a 90° turn at the upper-floor landing. Mrs. Rivera’s mother had moved in after a stroke and couldn’t manage the turn — two separate lifts was the only option another company offered. We digitally scanned the staircase, fabricated a single curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the upper landing, and parked the seat at the top hallway. The brown upholstered chair blends with the modern interior. One ride from foyer to bedrooms, zero transfers.

Dalworth Park cottage — straight rail on stone treads in a compact 1940s entry

Dalworth Park, TX Installed January 2026

A 1940s Dalworth Park cottage with stone-tile stair treads and a narrow entry next to a wooden sideboard the family has had since the house was built. The compact staircase left little room for error, so we shimmed the rail brackets to account for 80 years of Dallas County clay settlement and mounted the seat to fold flat against the wall. Mrs. Patterson said it fits the cottage feel of her home better than she expected.

Pioneer Parkway — outdoor porch lift on a stone-paved raised entry

Pioneer Parkway Area, TX Installed December 2025

A 1980s ranch off Pioneer Parkway with a raised front porch and five stone-paved entry steps. Sra. Mendoza had been using the back door — level with the garage — because the front steps were too steep after her hip replacement. We anchored the weather-sealed cream seat to the stone paving, sealed every component against DFW humidity and the brutal summer heat, and walked her through every button in Spanish. The lift runs from the stone entry up to the covered porch landing.

North Grand Prairie ranch — straight rail on carpeted treads matching the brown carpet

North Grand Prairie, TX Installed November 2025

Mr. Collins served 24 years in the Army, including two tours at Fort Cavazos, and retired to a North Grand Prairie ranch with carpeted stairs and a landing at the mid-floor. He qualified for the full HISA grant through the Dallas VA Medical Center. We prefilled VA Form 10-0103, coordinated with the HISA coordinator at VA North Texas, and had the grant approved in six weeks. The brown-upholstered seat matches the carpet tones almost exactly. Installed the following Monday at zero out-of-pocket cost.

Platform Lift

Mountain Creek Lake — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a post-stroke veteran

Mountain Creek Lake, TX Installed October 2025

Mr. Garcia uses a wheelchair full-time after a stroke and cannot transfer to a standard stairlift seat. The family’s Mountain Creek Lake home has an indoor staircase between the main living area and the bedrooms. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat anti-slip surface, yellow high-visibility safety edges, and a white handrail along the indoor stairway. The platform carries Mr. Garcia and his chair from the ground floor to the upper hall without any transfer. His daughter said it gave her father his bedroom back.

Common Questions

Everything Grand Prairie Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Grand Prairie right now?

Straight rails in standard Grand Prairie homes — the two-story tracts in South Grand Prairie, the ranches in North Grand Prairie, the subdivisions off Pioneer Parkway — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for split-level layouts or stairwells with mid-landings run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor and weather-sealed models run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Grand Prairie than in Dallas or Fort Worth?

Equipment prices are the same across the DFW Metroplex — we don’t inflate quotes based on zip code. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: foundation-settled treads in North Grand Prairie ranches, or rush installs coordinated with a hospital discharge from Medical City or Baylor Scott & White. We tell you the line items upfront. No surprise fees.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Grand Prairie assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and covers the entire DFW market. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is also available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

Any hidden fees for HOA subdivisions?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. The federal Fair Housing Act and Texas Human Resources Code Chapter 121 protect residents with disabilities from unreasonable HOA restrictions on accessibility modifications like stairlifts. We provide the documentation packet at no cost. If a board requires its own engineer’s letter (rare), we tell you before we start — not after.

A word from Luis

Most Grand Prairie families call me after a scare on the stairs — a slip on the carpeted landing in a Westchester two-story, a parent who stopped going upstairs after a knee replacement, a daughter in Houston worried about her father in a house off Pioneer Parkway that he’s owned since 1988.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
