Stairlift Service Across Limestone County

Limestone County, TX

We serve every corner of the Mexia area. The 1920s Craftsman bungalows along McKinney and Sherman Streets in the historic district have the narrow staircases and tight landings that make a curved-rail install the right call. Out in Forest Glade and Point Enterprise, the 1970s ranch-style homes usually take a straight rail — three hours, no surprises. Homes near Lake Mexia often need outdoor lifts for the porch steps. In Bi-Stone, Fallon, and Springfield we see a lot of pier-and-beam farmhouses with steep interior stairs. We also work the Holden and Shiloh communities, plus the acreage properties along Highway 171 toward Groesbeck and Wortham.

Oak Treads, Straight Rail — 1930s Farmhouse in Point Enterprise

Point Enterprise, TX Installed March 2026

The Ramirez family's 1930s farmhouse in Point Enterprise had dark original-oak stairs — a bit creaky after 90 years, but solid. Luis bolted a straight rail to the treads in just over three hours. The beige seat parked at the bottom landing matches the warm wood tones. No wall damage, no mess — the homeowners were back on both floors before lunch.

Slick Stone Treads, Compact Cottage — Install in Bi-Stone

Bi-Stone, TX Installed February 2026

A compact cottage in Bi-Stone with stone-tile treads and a wooden sideboard at the base of the stairs. Tight space — 34 inches wide — but the straight rail squeezed in without trouble. The brown seat tucks beside the furniture. Three hours, five bolts into the treads. The homeowner's daughter stopped worrying about her father managing those slick stone steps.

The carpet stayed in place — no pulling, no cutting. Three hours, tested three times. Mrs. Simpson was riding it before Luis pulled out of the driveway.

Common Questions

Everything Mexia Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

How much does a stairlift cost in Mexia?

A straight stairlift in Mexia starts at $2,800 installed. Curved units start at $9,000 — the price rises with the number of turns, since each rail is custom-bent to your exact staircase after a laser measurement. Outdoor lifts start at $4,000. Heavy-duty models that carry 600 lb start at $5,050. The free in-home assessment gives you a fixed quote before any work begins — no surprises, no hidden fees.

Does Medicare cover stairlift costs in Limestone County?

Original Medicare (Parts A and B) does not cover stairlifts — they're classified as durable medical equipment but Medicare considers them a home modification, not a covered device. Some Medicare Advantage plans in Texas may offer a home-modification allowance, but coverage varies by plan. We'll help you check your specific plan during the assessment.

Are there financing options for stairlifts in Mexia?

Yes. Financing starts at $79 a month, and most approvals come through the same day. We work with a third-party lender that offers 12-, 24-, and 36-month terms. No prepayment penalty — you can pay it off early anytime. Many families in Mexia use financing so they don't have to wait and save up while a parent is stuck on one floor.

Why is there a price difference between straight and curved stairlifts in Mexia?

A straight rail is a standard-length track cut to fit — quick to manufacture and install in about three hours. A curved rail is custom-fabricated to match your exact stair geometry. We take a 1-hour laser measurement on site, the rail is bent at the factory to your stair's specific turns and angles, and installation takes four to six hours. The custom fabrication is what drives the price difference.

A word from Luis

Mexia's housing stock tells a story every time I walk through a front door. The Craftsman bungalows on McKinney — built during the 1920s oil money — have oak treads and 90-degree turns at the landing. The ranch-style homes out toward Lake Mexia usually have straight carpeted stairs; a standard rail fits clean in three hours. But the farmhouses in Bi-Stone and Point Enterprise are trickier — steep, narrow, sometimes settled uneven after a century.

Most of our Mexia installs take three to four hours. We bolt the rail to the treads, not the wall — the drywall stays untouched. Battery backup comes standard because the power out here can flicker during summer storms. I've been doing this 15 years and I still get calls from daughters in Dallas who need their mom set up in Mexia before the weekend. We can usually make that happen.

— Luis Ramírez, Mexia
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Mexia sits at the crossroads of US 84 and Highways 14 and 171 — about 40 miles east of Waco, an hour and a half from Dallas. It's a small town where families have lived for generations, and those families are aging in place. The 1920s Craftsman homes, the 1970s ranch-style houses, the farmhouses on acreage — they all have stairs, and stairs don't get easier with time.

If your mother lives in Mexia and you're searching for help from Dallas or Waco, call us. We'll drive out, measure the stairs, and have her set up — usually within the same week. Free assessment, no pressure, and Luis handles the install himself.
