Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across McLennan County

McLennan County, TX

Most of our Hewitt work splits between four areas. Sun Valley off Sun Valley Boulevard near Hewitt Park is the biggest single subdivision — late-1970s to early-1980s brick ranches with shallow stair rises, 36-inch stairwells, and standard 9-inch tread depth. Spring Valley west of Hewitt Drive (anchored by Spring Valley Elementary) is mid-1990s split-levels with a half-landing turn between the entry and the upper bedrooms. Park Meadows off Hewitt Drive runs newer 2000s two-stories with steeper rises that still take a straight rail comfortably. Western Ridge Estates and Oak Creek are the 2010s builds in the south part of the city with deeper treads and modern open-tread staircases.

Common Questions

Everything Hewitt Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a straight stairlift cost installed in Hewitt?

A standard straight stairlift in Hewitt runs $2,800-$4,200 installed for a typical 12-14 ft run. The Sun Valley and Park Meadows ranches usually fall on the lower end because of the shallow rise; the older two-stories near downtown Hewitt with steeper rises run higher because of the longer rail.

How much more is a curved rail in Spring Valley or Oak Creek?

Curved rails for Hewitt's split-level homes start at $9,000 and most jobs land between $11,000 and $13,500 depending on the number of turns. The half-landing geometry in Spring Valley is the most common — usually a single 90° curve.

Are there extra charges for the newer Western Ridge homes?

Sometimes. The 2010s builds in Western Ridge Estates and Oak Creek often have open-tread staircases with engineered stringers, which require longer-than-standard mounting brackets. We add 1-2 hours of labor and quote that on-site, not as a hidden upcharge.

Do you finance stairlifts in Hewitt?

Yes. Approved financing starts at $79/month for a straight rail with no down payment. We also accept the VA HISA grant ($6,800 service-connected) and Texas STAR+PLUS Medicaid Waiver — full breakdown at the in-home consultation.

A word from Luis

Hewitt looks like one big subdivision from the highway, but the housing stock has clear bands. Sun Valley off Hewitt Drive runs late-1970s to early-1980s brick ranches with shallow rises and 36-inch stairwells — clean straight-rail jobs. Spring Valley and Park Meadows are 1990s-2000s split-levels with half-landing turns that almost always need a curved rail. Western Ridge Estates and Oak Creek are the newer 2010s builds with deeper-tread geometry and bigger hardware budgets.

What I tell every Hewitt homeowner: the slab matters. Post-tension foundations are common here, and we never anchor a stairlift to anything except the wood treads themselves — the rail is bolted to the stairs, not the slab. That's the right way to do it everywhere, but it's especially true in McLennan County where post-tension cables run through every newer build.

— Luis Ramírez, Hewitt
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Hewitt homes range from 1978 Sun Valley ranches to 2022 Oak Creek custom builds, and the right stairlift depends entirely on which one you live in. A Sun Valley ranch needs a basic straight rail; a Spring Valley split-level needs a custom curve. We don't quote until we measure.

If you're researching a stairlift for a parent in Hewitt, Woodway, Robinson, Lorena, or anywhere in McLennan County, call us for a free in-home assessment. We measure, quote, and walk you through HISA, Texas STAR+PLUS, and IRS Schedule A — no high-pressure sales.
