Stairlift Service Across Jefferson County

Jefferson County, KY

Lyndon's residential neighborhoods spread between I-264 to the north, Hurstbourne Lane to the east, and Shelbyville Road to the south. Holly Springs Village — 175 homes between Whipps Mill and New LaGrange — has wide colonials with straight staircases. Goose Creek and Meadowbrook Farm along the northern edge include 1980s and 1990s builds where half-turn stairs often need curved rails. Sycamore Creek and Bay Colony mix ranches and two-stories with mid-sized yards. The streets near Ormsby Lane hold early-1900s bungalows — the narrowest stairs in Lyndon, typically 32 to 36 inches, where a fold-up rail is the only way to fit a lift.

Colonial Stairlift with Dark Oak Treads in Holly Springs Village

Holly Springs Village, KY Installed March 2026

The Callahans live in one of the 175 homes in Holly Springs Village, between Whipps Mill Road and New LaGrange Road. Their two-story colonial has a straight dark-oak staircase — 14 treads, no turns. Luis measured Tuesday and had the beige seat installed by Thursday morning. The rail runs along the wall side, bolted to the oak treads with no wall anchors needed. Mrs. Callahan was using it by lunchtime.

Curved

Curved Rail with Upper-Landing Turn in Goose Creek

Goose Creek, KY Installed February 2026

The Pattersons' Goose Creek home has a curved staircase that sweeps up to a landing with a chandelier overhead, then turns 90 degrees to the upper floor. After an hour with the laser tool, the rail was custom-bent to follow the arc precisely. The brown leather seat parks at the upper landing. Fabrication took nine days; the install team mounted it to the treads in one afternoon.

Compact Straight Install on Stone-Tread Stairs in Sycamore Creek

Sycamore Creek, KY Installed January 2026

The Nguyens' Sycamore Creek home off Ormsby Lane has a compact staircase with stone-tile treads and a wooden sideboard cabinet at the base. The run is straight, but the bottom landing is tight — little clearance between the last step and the sideboard. Luis used a shorter rail with a hinged lower section that folds up to clear the path. The brown seat matches the cabinet and tile tones.

Outdoor

Outdoor Porch Lift on Stone Paving in Meadowbrook Farm

Meadowbrook Farm, KY Installed April 2026

The Hendersons' Meadowbrook Farm home has rough stone steps from the driveway to the front porch — eight risers with no handrail on the open side. Mr. Henderson, 82, was gripping the stone wall to get up and down. Luis installed an IP55-rated outdoor stairlift with a cream-colored weatherproof seat. The rail is aluminum with a UV-resistant cover, and it locks with a key.

Carpeted-Stair Install at Landing Level in Bay Colony

Bay Colony, KY Installed February 2026

The Simmons' Bay Colony home has a standard straight staircase with beige carpeted treads and a tiled floor at the base. The rail was mounted to the treads through the carpet — no need to pull it up or cut into it. The brown seat upholstery blends with the carpet tone, so the lift doesn't stand out. Mrs. Simmons charges it overnight from the top-landing outlet. Done by early afternoon.

Platform Lift

Indoor Wheelchair Platform Lift in Keeneland

Keeneland, KY Installed March 2026

The Torres family in Keeneland needed a solution for Mrs. Torres, who uses a wheelchair full-time after a stroke. Their indoor staircase runs from the living area to the bedroom level — no room for a ramp. Luis spec'd an inclined platform lift with a flat black deck, yellow safety edges, and a white handrail. It carries the wheelchair and rider — up to 600 pounds — then folds up to leave the stairs passable.

Common Questions

Everything Lyndon Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Lyndon?

Straight stairlifts start at $2,800 installed. Curved units, which need custom rail fabrication after a laser measurement, start at $9,000. Outdoor weatherproofed lifts start at $4,000. Heavy-duty models rated for 600 pounds start at $5,050. All prices include the in-home measurement, the rail, the chair, installation labor, and a demo of how to use it. Financing runs $79/month.

Are there any extra costs beyond the quoted stairlift price in Lyndon?

The quote Luis gives at the in-home assessment is the price. It covers the measurement visit, the rail and chair, installation, and the walkthrough after. If your stairs need anything unusual — extra-long rail, a hinged rail at the bottom for a doorway, a power outlet run — Luis tells you before you sign anything. No surprise line items on the invoice.

Why do curved stairlifts cost more than straight ones?

A straight rail comes in standard lengths and goes in the same day. A curved rail has to be custom-bent to match your exact stair geometry — every landing, every turn, every angle. That takes a 1-hour laser measurement, then fabrication at the factory, then a second visit for installation. The rail itself is a single piece of bent steel with no joints, which is more expensive to make but lasts longer.

Can I finance a stairlift in Lyndon?

Yes. Financing starts at $79/month. There's no prepayment penalty and no balloon payment. Luis can walk you through the application during the in-home assessment — it typically takes about 15 minutes and you get an answer the same day.

A word from Luis

I've installed stairlifts in Lyndon homes for over 15 years, and the variety in the housing stock here keeps the job interesting. The bungalows off Ormsby Lane and Lyndon Lane — those are the toughest fits. Staircases that are 32 inches wide, built in the 1910s and '20s, with a wall on one side and a banister on the other. We use the fold-up rail on those and it tucks tight to the wall. Then you go five minutes north to Holly Springs Village and you've got wide colonial staircases where a straight lift goes in during a single morning.

The biggest thing I tell families in Lyndon is not to wait until after a fall. I've had calls from daughters at 11pm because Mom slipped on the bottom step. By then, the damage is done. A stairlift is cheaper than an ER visit and a hip replacement. We can usually be out for an assessment within two days of the first call — and the install itself takes half a day.

— Luis Ramírez, Lyndon
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Lyndon has been a place people put down roots for over 150 years — from the railroad families who built bungalows near the 1871 L&N depot to the households spread across Holly Springs Village, Sycamore Creek, and Goose Creek today. The housing stock spans eras and styles, which means the staircases do too: tight turns in older homes near Ormsby Lane, split-level layouts from the 1960s, straight flights in newer builds. Every install here starts with a measurement at your actual stairs — no assumptions, no stock solutions.

If the stairs are getting harder, call Luis for an in-home assessment. He'll measure, quote a fixed price, and answer every question — from HISA grant paperwork to which rail fits a 32-inch-wide staircase. The number is (502) 423-0932, or email [email protected].
