Stairlift Service Across DuPage County

DuPage County, IL

Lisle's neighborhoods ring the 1,700-acre Morton Arboretum across six decades of suburban growth. Beau Bien (built late 1960s through mid 1980s) sits northwest of Green Trails with quarter-acre lots and split-level homes on oak treads. Green Trails covers 744 acres with nine lakes and 25 miles of paths — two-story homes with carpeted stairs. Four Lakes Village (1965-1981 off Maple Avenue) packs resort-style condos with narrow stairwells. Oak Hill Estates and Steeple Run mix Colonial Revivals and split-levels; Arbor Trails (K. Hovnanian 2013+) brings newer two-story builds with curved foyers. Seven Bridges, Peach Creek, and Oakview round out the mix.

Straight

Oak-tread straight rail in a 1968 Beau Bien split-level

Beau Bien, IL Installed March 2026

Classic 1968 split-level on a quarter-acre Beau Bien lot. Dark oak treads on a 14-foot straight staircase, 36 inches wide. The homeowners' mother moved in after a fall at her previous apartment. Luis measured the tread spacing — 7.5 inches per step. The beige seat parks at the bottom landing against cream hallway walls. Rail bolted to the treads in four places.

Curved rail around a 90° upper landing in Oak Hill Estates

Oak Hill Estates, IL Installed February 2026

Two-story foyer in a 1980s Oak Hill Estates home, curved staircase wrapping 90 degrees around a half-wall at the upper landing. Luis ran the laser measurement on Tuesday — the rail was fabricated off site and installed Friday. The brown seat parks at the top landing tight against the half-wall. The custom rail follows the curve with no gaps, anchored through the carpet.

Compact straight install on stone treads in an Oakview cottage

Oakview, IL Installed January 2026

Small 1950s home in Oakview east of I-355 and north of Maple Avenue — stone-tread staircase with a wooden sideboard at the base, 32 inches wide. The homeowners needed a lift for their father, who has COPD. Luis installed a straight rail; the brown seat folds tight against the wall. The stone treads took longer to anchor — each bolt needed a masonry bit.

Outdoor porch lift in Green Trails, weather-sealed for Illinois winters

Green Trails, IL Installed October 2025

Front porch entry on a two-story Green Trails home with rough stone paving. The homeowners' mother uses a walker and could not manage the five porch steps. Luis installed a cream outdoor unit, IP55-rated against rain and snow. Rail bolted into the stone steps with stainless anchors. Through the 2025-26 winter with 28 inches of snow, the lift ran without a fault.

Arbor Trails, IL Installed April 2026

Standard staircase in a 2015 Arbor Trails home built by K. Hovnanian — beige carpeted treads, tiled floor at the base, painted drywall. The brown seat matches the carpet tones. The homeowners' mother-in-law moved in long-term and the guest bedroom is upstairs. Luis mounted the rail through the carpet into the wood sub-treads. Install took three hours from arrival to final test.

Common Questions

Everything Lisle Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a straight stairlift cost in Lisle?

A straight stairlift in Lisle starts at $2,800 installed. That covers the rail, seat, installation, and a 5-year warranty on the motor with lifetime on the rail. Most straight installs in Lisle neighborhoods like Beau Bien, Oakview, and Steeple Run take about 3 hours. The price doesn't change based on which subdivision you're in — it's the same rail and labor whether your home is off Ogden Avenue or near the Arboretum. If your staircase has an intermediate landing, that adds a small hinge section but doesn't push you into curved pricing.

How much does a curved stairlift cost for a Lisle home?

Curved stairlifts start at $9,000 in Lisle. The price moves up based on how many turns your staircase has and the total rail length. Homes in Oak Hill Estates and Arbor Trails often have curved staircases with open foyers — those need a custom rail bent to match the exact turn radius. The measurement takes about an hour with a laser system on site. The rail is then fabricated off site and installed in a second visit. You're paying for custom fabrication, not a markup for the zip code.

Are there extra costs for installing in an older Lisle home?

Rarely. Older homes in Oakview or Beau Bien sometimes have stair treads that need minor reinforcement before the rail bolts on, but the fix is usually just a longer bolt or a backing plate — included in the base price. The rail mounts to the treads, not the wall, so plaster and drywall stay intact. We don't charge extra for home age. If the staircase is unusually narrow (under 30 inches), we may recommend a different rail profile, but the price stays the same.

What financing is available for Lisle residents?

Financing starts at $79 a month through our third-party lender. They offer 0% interest for 12 months on approved credit. There's no prepayment penalty, and the application takes about 10 minutes. For Lisle seniors on fixed income, this spreads the cost of a $2,800 straight lift across manageable monthly payments. We can walk you through the financing paperwork during the in-home assessment.

A word from Luis

Lisle is a town where the housing stock tells you exactly what you are walking into. The 1960s split-levels in Beau Bien have classic oak-tread staircases — 36 inches wide, a straight shot up, perfect for a standard rail. Head over to Green Trails or Oak Hill Estates and you are dealing with two-story foyers, curved landings, carpeted treads. Every install starts with me measuring the actual stairs, because there is no one Lisle house. I have put lifts into Four Lakes Village condos with 30-inch stairwells and into Arbor Trails homes with sweeping curved staircases. The one thing every Lisle install has in common: we bolt the rail to the treads, not the wall. No drywall repair, no repainting.

If your mom or dad lives in one of the older homes near Ogden Avenue or in Oakview, pay attention to the staircase width. Some of those ranches and split-levels built in the 1950s and 1960s have narrower treads. That does not rule out a lift — the rail mounts to the steps themselves, so width matters less than you would think. Come winter, when Lisle gets its 28 inches of snow and those front steps ice over, the indoor lift is the safest way up.

— Luis Ramírez, Lisle
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Lisle gives you something most Chicago suburbs do not: a town built around trees, not just streets. The Morton Arboretum sits right in the middle, and that green space shapes how people live here — including how they think about staying in their homes as they age. When the stairs become the one thing between your parents and the upstairs bedroom, a stairlift is a practical fix, not a lifestyle change.

From the split-levels of Beau Bien to the newer two-story homes in Arbor Trails, we have installed across every Lisle subdivision. Call Luis at (630) 492-7824 for a free in-home assessment. He will measure the stairs, talk through the options, and give you a quote the same day — no pressure, no sales pitch, just a real number for a real installation.
