Stairlift Service Across Galveston County

Galveston County, TX

From the century-old cottages in the League City Historic District to the Mediterranean-style two-stories of Tuscan Lakes, our team has measured every staircase style in this city. We know which South Shore Harbour waterfront homes have salt-air exposure requiring marine-grade hardware, which Bay Colony custom builds have wide floating staircases that need reinforced brackets, and which Magnolia Creek and Mar Bella production homes share the same 13-step builder-grade layout that takes a standard straight rail in under three hours.

South Shore Harbour waterfront home — straight rail on red oak treads

South Shore Harbour, TX Installed March 2026

A two-story waterfront home in South Shore Harbour built in 1998 with original red oak treads and a wrought-iron banister overlooking the marina. Mr. Kendrick retired from NASA Johnson Space Center in 2019 and had been sleeping in the downstairs study since a knee replacement last fall. We measured the straight run at 14 feet, bolted the rail into the oak treads without touching the wrought iron or the wall. The slim-profile seat folds flat against the wall so Mrs. Kendrick can still carry laundry up the full-width staircase. Mr. Kendrick told us the ride is smoother than anything he ever tested at JSC.

Tuscan Lakes Mediterranean two-story — curved rail past the stone-faced upper landing

Tuscan Lakes, TX Installed February 2026

A 2006 Mediterranean-style home in Tuscan Lakes with a tile-over-concrete staircase, wrought-iron spindles, and a 90-degree turn at the upper landing. The family’s mother had been living exclusively on the ground floor for five months after a fall on the tile treads. Luis conducted the entire assessment in Spanish at the kitchen table. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a curved rail that sweeps around the upper landing without touching the decorative stone facade, and used masonry anchors rated for the tile-over-concrete substrate. The swivel-exit seat at the top lets Sra. Dominguez step off directly onto the hallway tile instead of balancing on the top tread.

1920s Historic District cottage — slim-profile rail through a compact stairwell

League City Historic District, TX Installed January 2026

A 1924 cottage on Main Street in the League City Historic District with original longleaf pine treads, a stone foundation, and a narrow 32-inch stairwell. Mrs. Calloway has lived here for 61 years and was clear she wasn’t leaving. A wooden sideboard sits at the foot of the stairs and a potted plant lines the entry — the compact space left no room for a standard seat. We specified the slim-profile model with a manual folding seat and footrest that tucks to just 11 inches from the wall when parked, leaving 21 inches of clear passage. The rail bolts into the century-old pine treads with pre-drilled pilot holes to prevent splitting. The stone-and-tile tread surface at the bottom landing needed masonry anchors for the base bracket.

Outdoor

Bay Colony raised porch — weather-sealed outdoor lift on stone paving

Bay Colony, TX Installed December 2025

A custom home in Bay Colony with a raised front entry, seven exterior stone steps, and a covered porch facing Clear Lake. Mr. Pham is a Vietnam-era veteran who qualified for the HISA grant through the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. We anchored an outdoor straight rail into the stone paver treads with marine-grade stainless hardware — the salt air off Clear Lake corrodes standard zinc in one Gulf Coast winter. The motor housing carries an IP55 weather seal and the cream-colored seat upholstery is UV-stabilized for the relentless Galveston County sun. A carpeted outdoor tread at the bottom provides traction in wet weather. HISA covered $6,800 of the total cost.

Magnolia Creek two-story — straight rail on carpeted stairs with landing

Magnolia Creek, TX Installed November 2025

A 2004 production-build two-story in Magnolia Creek with carpet-covered treads and a small landing midway up. Mrs. Warren’s mother moved in after a stroke and the family needed a working stairlift before she arrived from San Antonio. We pulled back small carpet sections at the top, middle, and bottom to confirm solid wood treads underneath, drilled pilot holes through the carpet and pad, and bolted the rail brackets directly into the wood. The carpet sits flat around each bracket with zero bunching. The brown upholstery on the seat blends with the carpet tone so the unit doesn’t dominate the stairway. Mrs. Warren’s mother rode it the first evening and went straight up to her new bedroom without assistance.

Platform Lift

Mar Bella indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Mar Bella, TX Installed October 2025

A 2012 two-story in Mar Bella where Mr. Torres uses a power wheelchair full-time after a spinal cord injury during Army service. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed a flat platform he could roll onto without transferring. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift on the indoor stairway with a flat black anti-slip surface and bright yellow high-visibility safety edges along both sides. The yellow strips are pressure-sensitive emergency stops under ASME A18.1 — if anything contacts the edge during travel, the lift halts immediately. Auto-fold ramps at top and bottom and a keyed lockout panel for the grandchildren. The orange-toned walls and natural window light in the stairway made visibility straightforward. The HISA grant through DeBakey VA covered $6,800 of the cost; Mr. Torres financed the remainder at 0% APR.

Common Questions

Everything League City Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in League City right now?

Straight rails in standard League City homes — the two-story production builds in Tuscan Lakes, Magnolia Creek, and Mar Bella — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for homes with mid-landing turns or L-shaped staircases run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised entries and Gulf Coast porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes the humidity-sealed motor housing standard on all Galveston County installs.

Are prices different in South Shore Harbour or Bay Colony than the rest of League City?

Equipment prices are identical across every League City neighborhood — we don’t inflate quotes for waterfront addresses. What can vary slightly is install labor when unusual conditions exist: salt-air marine-grade coating on a South Shore Harbour home with direct bay exposure, compensating mounts for foundation-settled treads in a 1940s Historic District cottage, or humidity-sealed motor housings for homes inside the FEMA 500-year flood plain. We tell you on the first visit, not on the invoice.

Does the Gulf Coast humidity affect the price or the equipment?

It affects equipment spec, not price. Every League City install ships with high-humidity lubricant rated to 140°F operating temperature — stairwells in sun-facing two-stories regularly hit that in July and August. Homes east of I-45 with direct bay or channel exposure get marine-grade rail coating standard. Homes inside FEMA flood zones get a quick-release seat bracket so the motor can be carried upstairs ahead of a storm surge.

Is the written quote a firm price or an estimate?

Firm price, honored for 30 days from the date of your home assessment. The number on the quote is the number on the invoice — no change orders, no surprise line items. The only thing that changes the price is if you choose a different model or add options during the 30-day window.

A word from Luis

Most League City families call me after a parent stops going upstairs — a retired NASA engineer in South Shore Harbour who hasn’t slept in the master bedroom since his hip replacement, a widow in the Historic District whose 1920s cottage staircase has no handrail on the left side, a daughter in Dallas worried about her mother alone in a two-story Tuscan Lakes home with fourteen steps between the kitchen and the only full bath.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
