Straight Stairlift

Bestseller

The workhorse of Lake Elsinore’s two-story Mediterraneans, Summerly colonials, and Alberhill Ranch tract homes. Over 70% of the stairlifts we install in Lake Elsinore are this model. A single straight run — the Tuscany Hills open staircase, the Summerly two-story, the Alberhill Ranch colonial. The rail bolts into the stair treads under the carpet (never into the wall or the wrought-iron banister), the seat and footrest fold flat against the wall so the whole family can use the stairs, and the heat-rated battery keeps you moving through an Inland Empire power outage. Most Lake Elsinore installs wrap in under four hours. We carry the open-riser bracket adapter on every call because every third new-build needs it.

Starting at $3,150 installed

Stairlift Service Across Riverside County

Riverside County, CA

From Tuscany Hills — hillside Mediterraneans and Spanish-style two-stories from 1973 through 2006 with tile foyers and open staircases — to Summerly, the resort community building since 2012 with wider stairs and modern construction that installs in three hours flat, our team has measured every staircase type Lake Elsinore produces. We know which Alberhill Ranch floor plans have the open-riser staircase needing a bracket adapter, which Canyon Hills homes have the curved upper landing requiring a custom rail, and which Rosetta Canyon and Country Club Heights homes from the 1970s and 1980s have narrower stair widths needing the slim-profile seat. We also cover Wildomar, Canyon Lake, Lakeland Village, Meadowbrook, Warm Springs, and Good Hope without a mileage surcharge.

2004 Tuscany Hills Mediterranean — straight rail on the open staircase

Tuscany Hills, CA Installed March 2026

A 2004 Mediterranean-style two-story in Tuscany Hills with a tile foyer, wrought-iron banister, carpeted treads, and a single straight run from the entry to the second-floor bedrooms. Mrs. Nakamura is 74 and had been sleeping in the downstairs den since January because the 14-step climb had become too much after a fall on the landing. Her daughter in Irvine called us on a Monday. We measured on Tuesday, installed on Thursday — three hours, rail bolted into the treads under the carpet, the wrought-iron banister untouched — and Mrs. Nakamura was back in her own bedroom that evening. The chair folds flat against the wall and you can walk past it on the stairs without turning sideways.

Canyon Hills colonial — curved rail through the upper landing turn

Canyon Hills, CA Installed February 2026

A 1998 colonial-style two-story in Canyon Hills with an upper landing that makes a 90° turn before the hallway — the floor plan that trips up every company that only sells straight rails. The Delgados’ father, 79, uses a walker and couldn’t manage the turn at the top. We laser-scanned the staircase on visit one, fabricated a curved rail that carries him from the tile foyer to the upper hallway in one continuous ride, and added a swivel-exit seat so he steps off onto the carpet instead of the top tread. The entire assessment was conducted in Spanish because that was the language Don Miguel was comfortable in. His granddaughter translated the warranty card but the buttons he uses every day were walked through in his language.

Summerly two-story — straight rail past the wooden sideboard in a compact entry

Summerly, CA Installed January 2026

A 2015 two-story in Summerly with stone-tile treads, a wooden sideboard against the wall at the base of the stairs, and a compact traditional entry that left barely 30 inches of clearance. Mr. Booker had a hip replacement scheduled at Inland Valley Medical Center for the following month and wanted the lift running before he came home from the hospital. We measured on Tuesday, installed on Thursday — the slim-profile seat tucks against the wall beside the sideboard, and the stone treads took masonry anchors without cracking a single tile. The Summerly HOA required a reasonable-accommodation letter — we had the FEHA packet filed and approved in four business days.

Country Club Heights — outdoor rail on stone-paved porch entry

Country Club Heights, CA Installed December 2025

A 1978 hillside home in Country Club Heights with seven exterior stone-paved steps from the driveway up to the covered front porch — the sloped-lot entry that defines half the homes in Lake Elsinore’s older neighborhoods. The rough natural stone was slippery after morning dew and Mrs. Whitfield had already fallen once coming in from the mailbox. We anchored the outdoor rail into the stone pavers with marine-grade stainless fasteners, mounted a weather-resistant cream seat with UV-stabilized upholstery, and sealed the motor housing against the dust storms that blow through every Santa Ana season. The carpeted threshold at the bottom tread keeps her shoes dry when she steps off.

Alberhill Ranch — straight rail on carpeted stairs at the landing

Alberhill Ranch, CA Installed November 2025

A 2017 two-story in Alberhill Ranch with wall-to-wall brown carpet on the stairs and a tiled landing at the base. Mr. Ybarra is a retired Marine from March Air Reserve Base, 76, and the carpeted treads had become treacherous after knee surgery. We bolted the rail brackets through the carpet into the wood sub-tread — no carpet removal, no re-stretching — and mounted the brown-upholstered seat that blends with the carpet tones so well his wife said she barely notices it from the living room. The light switches on the wall beside the landing stayed accessible, and the seat parks flush at the top. He qualified for a HISA grant through the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial VA Medical Center in Loma Linda and we prefilled VA Form 10-0103 before we left.

Platform Lift

Rosetta Canyon — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Rosetta Canyon, CA Installed October 2025

A 1985 split-level in Rosetta Canyon where Mr. Morrison uses a power wheelchair full-time after a spinal cord injury. The five-step rise from the entry to the main living level made the home inaccessible — the family was considering selling and moving to a single-story. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip surface and yellow high-visibility safety edges around the perimeter. The white handrail runs alongside the terracotta-painted stairway wall, and the platform rides the indoor stairway in 22 seconds. Mr. Morrison rolls on at the entry, rides to the living level, and rolls off without ever leaving his chair. No transfer to a seat required.

Common Questions

Everything Lake Elsinore Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Lake Elsinore right now?

Straight rails in a standard Lake Elsinore two-story — the Tuscany Hills Mediterraneans, the Summerly colonials, the Alberhill Ranch tract homes — run $3,200 to $5,800 installed. Curved rails, which you’ll need for Canyon Hills homes with an upper landing turn and for older Rosetta Canyon floor plans with a 90° mid-landing, run $9,500 to $15,500 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised entries and hillside porches run $4,500 to $7,800 with Inland Empire heat-rated hardware standard. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, heat-rated battery, sealed motor housing, and the first service visit.

Are Lake Elsinore prices different from Orange County or LA?

Equipment prices are identical whether you’re in Tuscany Hills or in Newport Beach — we don’t mark up for coastal addresses or discount for the Inland Empire. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: open-riser staircases in Alberhill Ranch that need a bracket adapter, or a dedicated 20-amp circuit in a 1970s Country Club Heights home with original wiring. We quote every line item separately and upfront — no surprise fees after the install.

Can I use Medi-Cal to pay for some or all of the cost?

Yes, through the Medi-Cal Home and Community-Based Alternatives (HCBA) Waiver. Stairlifts qualify as Environmental Accessibility Adaptations. Eligibility requires California residency, a qualifying disability or age 65+, Medi-Cal financial eligibility, and an HCBA waiver agency assessment at nursing-facility level of care. We coordinate with the local waiver agency in Riverside County and handle the Environmental Accessibility Adaptation paperwork on your behalf — that’s the step where most families stall.

Do you offer financing for families who don’t qualify for Medi-Cal?

Yes — three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans from $79/month. Application is a soft credit pull (no hit to your score), takes about 4 minutes, and approval is usually instant. Many Lake Elsinore families combine financing with a partial HISA grant or the IRS medical deduction to bring the effective cost down. California’s Property Tax Postponement program for seniors 62+ can also free up cash — we walk you through every option during the free assessment.

A word from Luis

Most Lake Elsinore calls come from the adult children — a son in Temecula worried about his mother alone in a two-story Tuscany Hills home she bought in 2004 when she was 58 and the stairs were nothing, a daughter in Irvine who found out her father hasn’t been upstairs to his own bedroom in the Summerly house since a hip replacement three months ago, a retired Marine at March Air Reserve Base whose knees finally gave out on the tile stairs of a Canyon Hills Mediterranean.

My job is simple: drive to your Lake Elsinore address within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. If you’re a veteran through the Loma Linda VA, I’ll prefill the HISA paperwork before I leave.
