Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Suffolk County

Suffolk County, NY

From the 1950s Cape Cods of Bay Shore — where steep, narrow second-floor stairs are the most common staircase we measure in the town — to the split-levels of Deer Park and Brentwood where half-flight landing turns make straight rails impossible, from the raised ranches of East Islip and Islip Terrace where the entry-to-main-floor stairs are the only way into the house, to West Islip homes along the south shore where salt-fog corrosion is a year-round hardware problem, our team has mapped every hamlet in the town.

We know which Central Islip streets have the narrowest Cape Cod stairwells on the Island (27–28 inches), which Deer Park subdivisions require curved rails, and which Bay Shore addresses need marine-grade spec for outdoor hardware. We also cover Oakdale, Great River, Sayville, Bohemia, and Ronkonkoma at the same Suffolk County rate.

1953 Bay Shore Cape Cod — compact rail in a 28-inch stairwell

Bay Shore, NY Installed March 2026

A 1953 Cape Cod in Bay Shore with a stairwell barely 28 inches wide — classic mid-century Long Island construction where the builder put every square foot into bedrooms, not hallways. Mrs. Callahan’s daughter drives in from the city every weekend and had been carrying her mother’s laundry up these dark hardwood stairs for two years. We fitted the compact rail along the right side with folding footrest and folding armrests, leaving 24 inches of clear stair width on the oak treads. Mrs. Callahan carries her own laundry now.

Deer Park split-level — single curved rail over the 90° landing

Deer Park, NY Installed February 2026

A 1965 split-level in Deer Park with the layout that defined a generation of Long Island homes: four steps from the entry to the living room, a 90° landing, then ten more steps to the bedrooms. Every other company told the DiFrancos they’d need two separate lifts. We laser-scanned the full staircase, fabricated a single curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the upper landing, and installed a swivel-exit seat so Mr. DiFranco steps off onto the hallway floor at the top. One ride from the front door to the bedroom hallway. The modern interior with its framed art and chandelier looks exactly as it did before the install.

West Islip raised ranch — low-profile rail in a compact entry

West Islip, NY Installed January 2026

A 1968 raised ranch in West Islip, half a mile from Great South Bay, with a compact entry staircase flanked by a wooden sideboard and potted plant. Mrs. Hartley wanted a lift that didn’t look like a medical device in her traditional front hallway. We specified the slim-profile rail on stone-look tile treads, neutral brown upholstery that blends with the cottage-style furniture, and wall-side mounting so the chair parks flush next to the sideboard when not in use. Her bridge group has been to the house three times and no one has mentioned it.

Brentwood raised porch — weather-sealed outdoor lift on stone-paved entry

Brentwood, NY Installed December 2025

A 1972 two-story in Brentwood where three generations live under one roof. The front porch has rough natural stone paving and six entry steps that became impassable for abuela after a fall last summer. We anchored the outdoor rail into the stone-paved entry, fitted the weather-resistant cream seat with a carpeted outdoor tread at the bottom landing, and sealed every component against Long Island’s salt-air humidity. Luis conducted the entire consultation in Spanish. Sra. Reyes rides from the stone walkway to her front door every day now without asking anyone for help.

East Islip carpeted stairs — color-matched rail for a raised ranch landing

East Islip, NY Installed November 2025

A raised ranch in East Islip with fully carpeted stairs and a landing area where the brown carpet runs from the tiled foyer up to the second floor. Mr. O’Brien is a retired Army sergeant who qualified for a HISA grant through the Northport VA. We mounted the straight rail through the carpet into the treads, matched the brown seat upholstery to the carpet tone so the unit blends into the stairway, and positioned the seat to park at the landing next to the wall-mounted light switches. HISA covered $6,800 of the total cost.

Platform Lift

Central Islip Cape Cod — inclined wheelchair platform for a post-surgery veteran

Central Islip, NY Installed October 2025

A 1957 Cape Cod in Central Islip with steep second-floor bedroom stairs and a homeowner who uses a wheelchair after spinal surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Gutierrez cannot transfer to a seated stairlift, so we installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift — a flat black anti-slip platform with high-visibility yellow safety edges and a white handrail. The platform carries him and his chair from the warm-toned hallway up the indoor stairway in a single ride. Luis conducted the follow-up walkthrough in Spanish at the family’s request.

Common Questions

Everything Islip Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in the Town of Islip right now?

Straight rails in standard Islip homes — the Cape Cods in Bay Shore and West Islip, the two-stories in East Islip, the raised ranches in Islip Terrace — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for the split-levels in Deer Park, Brentwood, and Central Islip run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your staircase geometry. Outdoor weather-sealed models for raised entries and south-shore salt-exposure homes run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different on Long Island than in the city?

Equipment prices are the same across the New York metro area. What varies slightly is install complexity: the 1950s Cape Cod stairwells in Central Islip and Bay Shore are narrower than typical Manhattan brownstone stairs, and the split-level landing turns in Deer Park require custom fabrication. We line-item everything upfront. No "Long Island premium," no mileage surcharge.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Suffolk County assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and has worked extensively with the Hispanic communities in Brentwood, Central Islip, and Bay Shore in their preferred language. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

What’s included in the quoted price for an Islip stairlift?

Every quote includes the rail, seat unit, battery backup, professional installation by a Suffolk County-licensed contractor, safety sensor calibration, a full walkthrough with your household, and the first maintenance visit at 90 days. The only variable is staircase geometry — straight vs. curved vs. outdoor. No line item is hidden, no add-on is sprung after the fact.

A word from Luis

Most Islip families call me after someone has already had a close call — a slip on the carpeted stairs of a Deer Park split-level, a mother in West Islip who hasn’t been upstairs since her hip surgery, a daughter in the city calling about her father in a Bay Shore Cape Cod he’s lived in since 1962.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
