Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Wayne County

Wayne County, MI

We install stairlifts across every part of Inkster's 6.28 square miles. The post-war brick bungalows around Brookside Park, Westwood Park, and Wheatley Park have nearly identical stair geometry — single-flight straight runs, 11-inch treads, plaster walls — and a stock straight rail installs in 3 hours. The two-story homes along the Cherry Hill Road corridor and the split-levels around Dartmouth Park need custom-bent curved rails for their 90° landing turns. The brick storefronts and second-floor flats along the Michigan Avenue historic corridor and the Hamlin Boulevard stretch often need outdoor rails for the stoop steps. The Demby Park area and the historic Inkster Gardens subdivision have a mix of 1940s-1950s ranches where we stock rail lengths between 11 and 16 feet.

Common Questions

Everything Inkster Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Inkster, MI?

A standard straight rail in an Inkster brick bungalow runs $2,800–$3,800 installed. Curved rails — common in the Cherry Hill Road two-stories and Dartmouth Park split-levels — start at $9,000 because each rail is custom-bent to your stair geometry. Outdoor rails for Michigan Avenue stoops start at $4,000.

Are there hidden fees on Inkster installs?

No. Our quote includes the rail, motor, seat, battery backup, in-home survey, install labor, and the 5-year warranty. Inkster does not require a permit for an interior residential stairlift. The only variable is a custom curved rail's final length, which we measure with a laser before you sign.

Why is the curved rail so much more than the straight in Inkster?

Curved rails are bent on a CNC-jig from your exact stair photogrammetry — 14 days from measurement to factory ship. The 90° landing turns in the Cherry Hill Road two-stories and the half-flight landings in the Dartmouth Park split-levels each need their own custom-bent rail.

Does the price include removing the stairlift if we sell the Inkster home?

Yes — straight rails come with free removal at any time during the 5-year warranty. Curved rails are custom to your stairs and can't be reused, but we still uninstall and patch the tread holes free of charge if the home around Brookside Park or Westwood Park ever changes hands.

A word from Luis

Inkster is a brick-bungalow town. Most of the homes I install in were built between 1945 and 1965 — single-flight straight stairs, 11-inch treads, plaster walls — and a stock straight rail goes in clean in about 3 hours. The neighborhoods around Brookside Park, Westwood Park, and Wheatley Park are nearly identical in stair geometry, and I keep rails between 11 and 16 feet on the truck for that exact reason.

Where it gets interesting is the older two-story homes along the Cherry Hill Road corridor and the split-levels around Dartmouth Park — those need a custom-bent curved rail to handle the 90° landing turns. I also install a lot of outdoor rails on the brick stoops in the Hamlin Boulevard area off Michigan Avenue. Michigan winters are hard on outdoor seats — every Inkster porch lift I install gets a heated battery box so the limit switches don't ice in February. Same-day quote, locked pricing for 30 days.
