Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across San Bernardino County

San Bernardino County, CA

We serve every neighborhood in Highland and the surrounding San Bernardino County areas. East Highlands Ranch is our most active install zone — the 1980s and 1990s subdivision homes there tend to have 13-to-16-step straight runs that are textbook straight-rail jobs. The Base Line corridor mixes older single-story ranches with two-story homes that were added to in the 1990s, sometimes creating non-standard stair widths that require a slim-profile rail. In the Greenspot Road and Victoria Avenue areas, we frequently encounter short half-flights to raised bedroom wings — four to seven steps — where a compact straight rail is the cleanest solution. The Patton area homes are older, some with original oak or pine treads, and homeowners there consistently ask us to preserve the original wood. We do. The rail anchors to the tread surface; nothing structural is altered.

Original oak treads preserved in a 1988 East Highlands Ranch two-story

East Highlands Ranch, CA Installed March 2026

An East Highlands Ranch home built in 1988 with original oak-stained treads the family had no intention of altering. The homeowners had already called two companies who said the narrow landing at the top would require removing the banister post. We spec'd a slim-rail with a folding footrest that clears the post by two inches, bolted into the tread face, and matched the rail finish to the existing oak. Mr. Castillo's father now uses it independently — warm indoor setting, seat waiting at the bottom of the dark hardwood stairs each morning.

90° landing turn in a Base Line corridor split-level

Base Line corridor, CA Installed February 2026

A 1970s split-level on the Base Line corridor with a 90° quarter-turn at a mid-landing. We laser-scanned the staircase, custom-fabricated a curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the upper floor, and installed in a single afternoon. The brown-upholstered seat parks at the upper landing where Mrs. Sandoval steps off directly onto the hallway floor. Framed photos line the wall alongside the curved rail. She was using it independently within 20 minutes of install.

Compact straight rail in a cozy Patton area cottage

Patton area, CA Installed January 2026

A compact older home in the Patton area with stone-tile treads and a wooden sideboard at the base of the stairs that the family refused to move. We positioned the brown-upholstered seat to park at the bottom alongside the cabinet and a potted plant the homeowner has kept for 30 years. The straight rail runs the full flight without contacting any furniture. Traditional cottage feel — tight space, but the slim rail preserves every inch of walkway. Sra. Reyes uses it four times daily.

Weather-sealed outdoor lift on stone-paved front porch entry

Victoria Avenue, CA Installed December 2025

A Victoria Avenue home with a raised front porch and rough natural stone paving at the entry — the daily path for Mr. Nguyen after bilateral knee replacements. The cream-colored weather-resistant seat rides from the stone-paved ground level up to the covered porch landing. We sealed the motor housing for Inland Empire heat and bolted the rail into the stone paving with chemical-set anchors. Natural daylight floods the entry from above. Six months in, zero service calls through Highland's hottest summer on record.

Straight rail over carpeted stairs in an East Highlands Ranch landing

East Highlands Ranch, CA Installed November 2025

An East Highlands Ranch two-story with wall-to-wall carpet over the staircase and a landing area at the mid-level. The brown-upholstered seat blends with the warm carpet tones — you barely notice it when parked. We bolted through the carpet into the subfloor with backing plates at each bracket, confirmed the carpet wouldn't bunch, and routed the rail to clear the wall-mounted light switches. Tiled floor at the base of the landing provides a clean step-off point. Mr. Martinez rides it eight times a day without a second thought.

Platform Lift

Indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges in a Patton area home

Patton area, CA Installed October 2025

A Patton area home where Mr. Flores, a veteran enrolled at VA Loma Linda, uses a power wheelchair full-time after a service-connected injury. A seated stairlift was not an option — transferring out of the wheelchair twice per trip was medically inadvisable. We installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip platform, yellow high-visibility safety edges on all sides, and a white handrail along the stairway wall. Mr. Flores rolls on at the lower level, rides the incline past the window and orange-toned walls, and rolls off at the upper floor without assistance. His HISA grant covered the full cost.

Common Questions

Everything Highland Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Highland, CA right now?

Straight rails in typical Highland homes run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails — required for mid-landings or turns common in 1980s split-levels — range from $9,000 to $15,000 since the rail is custom-fabricated to exact stair geometry. All quotes are written, itemized, and honored for 30 days, including rail, seat, battery backup, installation labor, and first service visit with no surprise add-ons.

Is there a price difference between Highland and other Inland Empire cities?

Equipment pricing remains consistent across San Bernardino County. Labor costs vary slightly only for unusual conditions — very narrow stairs under 28 inches, original hardwood banister preservation, or condo buildings requiring engineer sign-off. These exceptions are disclosed line-by-line before work commences. East Highlands Ranch and Base Line homes typically fall within standard straight-rail pricing.

Does a stairlift affect my home's resale value?

The lift is removable, coming out in hours and leaving only small anchor holes in treads that patch easily. Many Highland sellers actually leave the lift in place since same-age buyers often view it as a feature rather than a liability. Removal costs are straightforward and quoted upfront.

Is a used or refurbished stairlift a good option in Highland?

A certified refurbished straight rail typically costs $1,800 to $3,200 installed — roughly 30–40% less than new. We inspect every component, replace worn gears and batteries, and provide a 2-year parts warranty. Curved rails cannot be refurbished because each rail is custom-fabricated to one specific staircase. If your East Highlands Ranch home or Base Line corridor ranch has a standard straight run, refurbished is a solid option. We bring both quotes to the assessment so you can compare.

A word from Luis

Highland homeowners ask me one question almost every time: 'Will this work on my split-level?' The answer is almost always yes — but the configuration matters. East Highlands Ranch homes from the 1980s and 1990s have some of the most varied stair geometries I encounter in the Inland Empire. Some are dead-straight 12-footers. Some have a landing turn that requires a custom curved rail.

I come out, measure your exact staircase, and tell you which model fits — before you spend a dollar. No pressure, no surprise fees on install day. En español si lo prefiere.
