Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Ingham County

Ingham County, MI

We cover all of Haslett from the Lake Lansing shoreline to the Meridian Township border. Trails of Lake Lansing and Pine Creek are 1990s–2000s Colonials with 36-inch stairs and standard straight runs — most of our same-week installs come from here. The Lake Lansing North Shore cottages from the 1940s have narrow 30-inch stairs and original beadboard that demands careful rail placement. Hickory Grove and Old English Estates mix 1970s ranches with split-level additions where we sometimes need a curved unit at the upper landing. Pheasant Run and Sunset Cove condos approve stairlifts as ADA-protected medical equipment. Meridian Hills rounds out the service map with its wider 38-inch executive Colonials.

Common Questions

Everything Haslett Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Haslett, MI?

A straight rail in a Trails of Lake Lansing or Pine Creek home runs $2,800–$4,200 installed. Curved units for Lake Lansing cottage L-turns or Hickory Grove split-levels start at $9,000 and average $11,500. Outdoor units for lakefront stair runs from $4,000.

Are quotes in Haslett fixed-price or estimates?

Fixed-price installed. Every Haslett quote includes the rail, drive, seat, two remotes, battery backup, labor, removal of the old unit if applicable, and a five-year warranty. We do not add fees after the install starts.

Will my Haslett condo association approve a stairlift?

Yes. Pheasant Run and Sunset Cove have both approved our installs as ADA-protected medical equipment under the Fair Housing Act. We provide the engineering letter the board requires — it has never been declined.

Do older Lake Lansing cottages cost more to fit?

Sometimes. If the framing is out of plumb by more than 2 degrees we add a shimming step ($150–$250). Original beadboard wainscoting requires careful rail standoffs but does not change the price. We disclose any extras in writing before signing.

A word from Luis

Haslett breaks into two clear stairlift markets. The Lake Lansing waterfront cottages from the 1940s and 1950s have steep narrow runs — sometimes 30-inch widths with an L-turn at the top — and the framing is rarely plumb. We almost always install a straight rail with a powered footrest there because a curved unit will not clear the original beadboard wainscoting.

The newer side — Trails of Lake Lansing, Pine Creek, Pheasant Run, anything built after 1990 — has standard 36-inch widths and clean straight runs that we knock out in three or four hours. Send me a photo of your stairs from the bottom landing and I will tell you within an hour whether you are a $2,800 straight-rail job or a $9,500 curved one.

— Luis Ramírez, Haslett
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Haslett’s freeze-thaw winters are hard on outdoor equipment — we only install IP55-sealed outdoor units here, and we set the rail mounts with stainless hardware that will not rust through after the second January. The Lake Lansing North Shore cottages and Pheasant Run condos both see sub-zero cycles, so every battery we install is AGM-rated to −40°F and cycle-tested on day one.

Call or text Luis with a photo of your stairs from the bottom landing. Written quote in 24 hours, working stairlift inside a week for most straight runs in Ingham County.
