Stairlift Service Across Lake County

Lake County, FL

We install across all of Groveland's growing communities. Cascades / Trilogy is the gated 55+ community on the north side — single-story homes with short interior runs to a loft or storage. Phillips Landing is newer two-story PUD construction with standard 36-inch staircases. Cherry Lake Oaks and the Estates at Cherry Lake hold 1990s–2010s homes with carpeted treads. Green Valley West is established mid-1990s with mature landscaping. Downtown Groveland off Broad Street is the older 1900s–1960s section near the historic core, including the 1902 Edge House on West Broad Street — mostly slab-on-grade ranches with settled framing. Waterside Pointe townhomes and the new Peachtree Hills lots round out the south side.

Common Questions

Everything Groveland Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Groveland, FL?

A straight stairlift in Groveland starts at $2,800 fully installed. Curved rails for the rare turn in Downtown Groveland additions or custom Cherry Lake estates start at $9,000. Outdoor units start at $4,000, heavy-duty up to 600 lb at $5,050. Final price depends on rail length, turn count, and whether the staircase is a standard PUD run or a 1950s slab ranch addition.

Are there hidden fees on a Groveland stairlift install?

No. The signed quote covers rail, motor, seat, install labor, runner removal if needed, and the 5-year warranty. The one common add-on is the heavy-duty battery upgrade ($120) for hurricane-season Duke Energy outages — most Lake County families take this option after seeing two named storms.

What's the monthly payment on a Groveland stairlift?

Financing starts at $79/month with 0% APR through Synchrony, subject to credit approval. A $2,800 straight install at 60 months runs about $79/mo; a $9,000 curved at 84 months runs about $130/mo. We run your rate during the in-home estimate so the number is firm before you commit.

Does Medicare cover stairlifts in Lake County?

No — Medicare Part A and B do not cover stairlifts in Florida because they are classified as home modifications, not durable medical equipment. Florida SMMC-LTC (Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Long-Term Care) covers them through its environmental accessibility benefit for qualified members, and the VA HISA grant covers up to $6,800 for service-connected veterans through the Clermont VA Clinic at 3200 Citrus Tower Boulevard.

A word from Luis

Groveland is a different Florida than the coast. The city has tripled in size in the last 15 years, and most of what I install here is in a two-story 2015–2024 home in Trilogy/Cascades, Phillips Landing, Cherry Lake, or one of the dozen new PUDs along Wilson Lake Parkway. Standard 36-inch staircases, modern carpeted treads, finished basements rare. The older Broad Street and Downtown Groveland sections have a different problem — 1950s slab-on-grade ranches with a single short interior run, but framing that has settled in 70 Florida summers.

The biggest local difference is hurricane-season preparation. Groveland sits inland enough — south of Clermont, ~50 miles from the Atlantic and 60 from the Gulf — that I do not quote salt-air corrosion packages. That is a coastal upsell. What I do quote is heavy-duty battery backup for the Duke Energy outages that follow every named storm, and a charge rail that holds 18-plus cycles instead of 12. Florida SMMC-LTC (the correct name — not 'HCBS waiver') covers the install for qualified Medicaid members, and I walk every Lake County family through the Sunshine Health or Humana intake before we book the job.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Groveland is mostly newer construction with standard staircases, but the older Broad Street and Downtown Groveland sections need a different rail and a different conversation. We measure your actual stairs, quote what fits, and walk you through Florida SMMC-LTC or HISA before the install date.

If your parent in Cascades or Phillips Landing is starting to skip the stairs, call us. We come out, take real measurements, and give you a firm number — including whether SMMC-LTC's home-modification benefit will cover the install.
