Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Greenville County

Greenville County, SC

The North Main corridor has early-1900s bungalows and colonials with steep staircases and narrow stairwells that need the slim-profile rail — we've installed in dozens without touching a single original spindle. Augusta Street has wider colonials that often take curved rails at the landing. Hampton-Pinckney Victorians and foursquares are curved-rail territory. Overbrook and Parkins Mill are our highest-volume straight-install neighborhoods — 1960s–1970s colonials with predictable 14-step runs. Botany Woods split-levels often need a short curved rail at the entry landing. Sans Souci, north of downtown, has compact textile-era stairwells. The Taylors area has newer builds and our fastest-growing bilingual service demand. We also cover Mauldin, Simpsonville, Greer, and Travelers Rest — all within a 20-minute drive.

1940s Overbrook colonial — straight rail on dark oak open-tread staircase

Overbrook, SC Installed March 2026

A 1940s colonial in Overbrook with 14 dark oak treads and an open stringer staircase climbing from the foyer to the second floor. Mrs. Henderson's son called from Atlanta after her knee replacement made the stairs impassable. We bolted the rail directly into the hardwood treads — the original oak banister and turned spindles on the open side are untouched. The seat parks at the bottom landing next to the foyer, folds flat against the wall, and the warm wood tones of the rail blend with the aged oak. Battery backup carried her through a spring thunderstorm outage on day three.

Hampton-Pinckney Victorian — curved rail past ornate 1890s balustrade

Hampton-Pinckney, SC Installed February 2026

An 1896 Victorian in the Hampton-Pinckney historic district with an ornate turned balustrade and a sweeping 90-degree curve at the upper landing. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a curved rail that follows the inner wall and clears every turned spindle, and installed in a single afternoon. The seat parks at the upper floor hallway so Mrs. Worthington steps off directly onto the landing. The rail finish matches the aged mahogany, and framed art along the stairwell wall stayed in place throughout the install.

Cherrydale cottage — straight rail on stone treads in a compact stairwell

Cherrydale, SC Installed January 2026

A 1950s stone-and-stucco cottage in Cherrydale with 12 stone-tread steps climbing from the entry hall to the bedrooms. The stairwell is compact — a wooden sideboard and potted plant sit at the base, and the treads are original quartzite tile from the home's Mediterranean-influenced construction. We bolted the rail into the stone treads using masonry anchors, and the folding seat tucks flat so the sideboard stays in place. Mr. Graham uses it four times a day and says the quiet motor doesn't wake his wife napping in the front room.

Augusta Street colonial — outdoor lift on stone-paved front porch entry

Augusta Street, SC Installed December 2025

A 1920s colonial on Augusta Street with a raised front porch and nine stone-paved steps from the sidewalk to the front door. Mr. Mitchell is a Korean War-era veteran whose HISA grant through the Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn VA in Columbia covered the full cost. The cream-colored weather-resistant seat rides up stone pavers to the covered porch, with stainless fasteners anchored into the stone and an IP55-sealed motor housing rated for Upstate humidity and summer thunderstorms. Natural daylight reaches the entire run under the porch overhang.

Parkins Mill ranch — straight rail over wall-to-wall carpet to second floor

Parkins Mill, SC Installed November 2025

A 1970s colonial in Parkins Mill with 14 carpeted steps from the main level to the bedrooms. Mrs. Simmons qualified for the SC Community Choices Waiver — we handled the CLTC paperwork and approval came in 42 days. The rail bolts through the carpet and pad into the subfloor with extended lag bolts, and the brown-upholstered seat blends with the carpet color at the landing. Wall-mounted light switches on the landing side remain accessible. The state covered the full cost.

Platform Lift

Taylors home — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a spinal-injury veteran

Taylors, SC Installed October 2025

A 1999 two-story home in the Taylors area where Sr. Contreras uses a power wheelchair after a service-connected spinal injury. The entire consultation happened in Spanish. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift — a flat black anti-slip deck with yellow high-visibility safety edges on all sides — along the indoor stairway from the main floor to the bedrooms. The terracotta-painted walls frame the platform, and natural light from the stairwell window keeps the run well-lit. The platform folds against the wall so the stairs remain passable for the rest of the family. His HISA grant through the Dorn VA covered most of the cost.

Common Questions

Everything Greenville Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Greenville right now?

Straight rails in standard Greenville homes — the Overbrook colonials, the Parkins Mill ranches, the Botany Woods split-levels — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you'll need for most North Main bungalows, Augusta Street colonials, and Hampton-Pinckney Victorians with landing turns, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised porches and foothills entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Greenville than Columbia or Charleston?

Equipment prices are identical across South Carolina. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: North Main historic banister preservation, curved-rail fabrication for Hampton-Pinckney Victorians, and the humidity-rated motor spec that's standard on every Upstate install. We tell you the line items upfront. No regional markups.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Greenville assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and has served the growing Hispanic community along White Horse Road and in the Taylors area for years. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is also available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

Is a refurbished stairlift a realistic option for Greenville homes?

For straight staircases, yes — a certified refurbished unit saves 30–40% off a new install. We carry factory-reconditioned straight rails with new upholstery, new batteries, and a 2-year warranty. For curved rails, refurbished is almost never viable because the rail is manufactured to your specific staircase geometry. Ask us during the assessment whether refurbished makes sense for your home.

A word from Luis

Most Greenville families call me after the Upstate lifestyle caught up with the house — a parent in Overbrook whose 1940s colonial stairs are too much after a knee replacement, a BMW retiree in Botany Woods whose split-level entry has become a daily obstacle, a daughter calling from Charlotte worried about her mother in an Augusta Street bungalow she's lived in for 45 years.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
