Stairlift Service Across Greenville County

Greenville County, SC

Five Forks is dominated by late-1990s-through-2015 subdivisions with two-story floor plans and half-landing turns, which is why curved rails outnumber straight here roughly 2-to-1. River Walk off Bennetts Bridge Road runs Colonials and traditionals with 15-tread main staircases. Kilgore Farms and Cobblestone along Woodruff Road sit on larger lots with 2,800-3,500 sqft two-stories — good candidates for curved installs with top-landing parking. Five Forks Plantation and Orchard Farms (Arbor Walk, Baker's Garden, Carriage Place) feature higher-end finishes — carpeted treads that hold brackets cleanly. Asheton Lakes tends toward newer builds with slightly tighter stair geometry.

Common Questions

Everything Five Forks Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

How much does a stairlift cost in Five Forks, SC?

Straight rails start at $2,800 installed, but most Five Forks homes need a curved rail because of the half-landing turn — those run $10,500 to $13,000 depending on rail length and top-floor parking. The average Five Forks subdivision two-story comes in around $11,200.

Does the Five Forks quote include SC sales tax?

Yes. Our written quote includes Greenville County sales tax (currently 7%) plus installation labor, the rail, and the seat. There are no separate trip charges inside the Greenville-Spartanburg metro area.

Why are curved rails so much more expensive in Five Forks?

Because every curved rail is manufactured to your exact staircase. We laser-measure the half-landing, send the data to the factory, and the rail is cut and bent specifically for your home. No two Five Forks subdivision staircases are identical — even within Kilgore Farms.

Can I resell a used stairlift in the Five Forks market?

Straight rails yes — we buy back three-year-old units for $400 to $900 and resell refurbished to budget-conscious Greenville County customers. Curved rails are specific to one staircase, so they have essentially no secondary market.

A word from Luis

Five Forks is mostly 1995-to-2015 subdivision construction — Kilgore Farms, River Walk, Five Forks Plantation, Orchard Farms. Almost every house here is a two-story with a half-landing turn at the top of the main staircase, which means curved rail, not straight. Of the last 30 jobs I did along Woodruff Road, 22 were curved.

What matters locally is the HOA. Most Five Forks subdivisions have architectural review committees, and I've written a dozen letters documenting that the rail attaches only to the interior treads with no visible exterior hardware. I have a template that passes River Walk, Kilgore Farms, and Five Forks Plantation on first submission.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

If your Five Forks home is in River Walk, Kilgore Farms, Five Forks Plantation, or any of the Woodruff Road subdivisions, expect a curved-rail conversation. I'll measure the half-landing, write the HOA letter, and give you a written quote at the visit.

Free in-home assessments this week across the Five Forks, Simpsonville, and Mauldin corridor. Curved rails ship in 4-6 weeks; straight rails install the same week as the assessment. Call or fill out the form and I'll confirm a time.
