Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Prince George's County

Prince George's County, MD

We install across Greenbelt's main residential pockets. Old Greenbelt 1937 New Deal rowhouses have 30-inch stairs and original pine treads — slim rails only. Greenbriar 1974 condos sit between the BW Parkway and Hanover Parkway, often need HOA sign-off. Windsor Green 1977 townhomes south of Greenbelt Road usually take a single straight flight. Greenwood Village 1984 townhomes near Eleanor Roosevelt High and Greensprings 1990s Georgians round out our route. Greenbrook rowhouses south of Ora Glen Drive complete the coverage.

Common Questions

Everything Greenbelt Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Greenbelt, MD?

A straight rail in an Old Greenbelt rowhouse runs from $2,800 installed; a curved rail in a Greensprings Georgian runs from $9,000. Outdoor rails start at $4,000. Financing from $79/month.

Are there hidden fees on a Greenbelt install?

No. The Greenbelt quote is fixed: rail, seat, battery backup, install labor, permit handling, and the 5-year warranty. The in-home survey is free.

Does Greenbelt or PG County require a permit?

Interior residential stairlifts do not require a permit in Greenbelt. Outdoor rails attached to a porch may. We file the paperwork either way.

Will Greenbriar's HOA approve a stairlift in a shared stairwell?

Greenbriar requires a written ADA-reasonable-modification request to the HOA. We supply the engineering letter and rail spec sheet — the request is rarely denied for medical need.

A word from Luis

Greenbelt is unlike anywhere else in Prince George's County. Old Greenbelt's 1937 New Deal rowhouses have steep, narrow stairs (some only 30 inches wide) with original yellow-pine treads — they need slim-profile rails and very careful tread anchoring. Greenbriar's 1970s condos have a different problem: shared stairwells where the HOA has to approve the rail.

Inland from the Bay, Greenbelt sees real freeze-thaw cycles every winter and the occasional nor'easter. No direct salt-air, but I still spec sealed gearboxes and battery backup — when a nor'easter knocks out power for two days, the lift still works for the trip up to bed.

— Luis Ramírez, Greenbelt
