Stairlift Service Across Marion County

Marion County, WV

I cover Fairmont from the East Side Victorian blocks in Palatine, down through the Downtown Historic District and the Fleming-Watson neighborhood, over to Bellview on the west side and out to Country Club Estates on the south. The Victorian and Foursquare homes in Palatine and Fleming-Watson have the narrowest staircases — often 28 to 30 inches clear with original oak or chestnut treads. Bellview bungalows and the Watson post-war ranches are more forgiving. Country Club Estates split-levels need straight rails for the main flight and often a second unit for the basement. I also serve Monongah, White Hall, Mannington, and Grafton on the same route.

Common Questions

Everything Fairmont Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a straight stairlift cost installed in Fairmont?

A standard Fairmont install runs $2,800 to $3,600 — rail, seat, DC motor, battery backup, any Fairmont or Marion County electrical permit. No trip charges, no hidden fees. Quote is firm before I cut anything.

How much more is a curved rail for an East Side Victorian?

Curved rails start at $9,000. A typical Palatine Victorian staircase with a landing and 90-degree turn runs $9,500 to $12,500. The rail is custom-bent after I laser-measure your specific staircase.

Is monthly financing available for Fairmont homeowners?

Yes. Financing starts at $79 per month on approved credit, no prepayment penalty. Many Marion County families use the monthly option while waiting on ADW or HISA paperwork.

Does Fairmont or Marion County require a permit?

Fairmont requires an electrical permit only if a new hardwired outlet is needed for the charging strip. Fees are typically $50 to $100. I file it and include it in the quote.

A word from Luis

Fairmont housing is unusual even for West Virginia. On the East Side and in Palatine you have late-1800s Victorians with narrow, steep staircases — sometimes two full flights with a landing between. Downtown and Fleming-Watson have 1920s-30s brick Colonials. Bellview is mostly 1940s-60s bungalows. Country Club Estates and Watson are post-war ranches and split-levels.

The hillside lots mean most homes also have basement or garage stairs to deal with. I quote both flights on the first visit. Stainless fasteners on every outdoor install — the Monongahela River valley gets heavy freeze-thaw cycles that eat regular steel.

— Luis Ramírez, Fairmont
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Fairmont homes carry a lot of history — original chestnut treads, plaster walls, steep hillside lots. My job is to fit a stairlift that keeps the home's character intact and gets an aging parent back up to the second floor without anyone moving house.

Call or email me for a measured quote. I handle the West Virginia ADW paperwork and the VA HISA filing for Clarksburg-area veterans directly — no middleman, no shuffle between departments.
