Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Uinta County

Uinta County, WY

We install across every Evanston neighborhood. Depot Square and the historic downtown core hold 1880s Union Pacific cottages with narrow treads and plaster-over-lath walls that need careful rail anchoring. Bear Meadow and Hillcrest subdivisions off Bear River Drive feature post-1970 split-levels where a straight rail to a mid-landing is the most common layout. The Roundhouse District near the UP rail yard has brick bungalows with original oak treads. Almy neighborhoods north of I-80 and Purple Sage west of Highway 150 have newer ranches where outdoor porch lifts clear snow-covered entries. Every install accounts for altitude-rated electronics and freeze-thaw-sealed rail joints.

Depot Square — straight rail on 1889 oak treads

Depot Square, WY Installed March 2026

An 1889 Union Pacific-era cottage on Center Street with original oak treads and plaster-over-lath walls. We anchored the cream-seat straight rail into the stair stringer to protect the historic finishes, sealed the motor housing against Evanston's 6,749-ft dry air, and completed the full install in 3 hours with zero plaster damage.

Bear Meadow, WY Installed February 2026

A 1978 Bear Meadow split-level off Bear River Drive with a 90° half-landing curve at the top of the stairs. Roundhouse District, WY Installed December 2025

A 1912 brick bungalow near the old Union Pacific roundhouse with stone tile treads and a wooden sideboard at the base of the stairs. We fitted a compact 12-ft straight rail, parked the brown seat at the bottom landing clear of the sideboard cabinet, and anchored the rail into the stringer without touching the original brick walls.

Hillcrest, WY Installed January 2026

A 1972 Hillcrest ranch with carpeted treads and a tile foyer at the base of the stairs. We matched the brown upholstery to the existing carpet tones, anchored the straight rail into the stringer, and routed the rail clear of the mid-landing handrail. The seat parks near the upper landing so the tile entry floor stays fully clear.

Common Questions

Everything Evanston Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

How much does a stairlift cost in Evanston, WY?

Straight indoor installations start at $2,800 including rail, seat, and installation. Curved rails start at $9,000 because each rail is custom-fabricated to your staircase geometry. Outdoor units start at $4,000 with altitude-rated, IP55-sealed components suited to Uinta County's freeze-thaw cycle. Heavy-duty 600-lb-capacity models start at $5,050.

Is a stairlift in Evanston more expensive because of the altitude?

Not in base price, but Evanston installs require altitude-rated electronics and dry-climate lubricants that some low-bid installers skip. We include these specs standard. A Bear Meadow or Hillcrest home at 6,749 feet will see longer motor life with proper altitude-rated brushes than a coastal-spec unit.

Does the Evanston cost include rail fabrication for curved staircases?

Yes. Our $9,000 curved starting price includes on-site laser measurement, CAD fabrication, delivery, and installation. The 1880s Victorians in Depot Square and split-levels in Bear Meadow often require custom curves — there is no extra fabrication fee beyond the quoted price.

Can I finance a stairlift in Evanston?

Yes. Financing starts from $79/month on approved credit, with zero-interest promotional periods available. Many Evanston homeowners pair financing with the $6,800 HISA grant (if service-connected veteran) or Wyoming's Community Choices Waiver.

A word from Luis

Evanston is unlike anywhere else I install. We're at 6,749 feet, the air pulls moisture out of every lubricant, and the freeze-thaw cycle swings 50 degrees in a single March afternoon. The old Union Pacific cottages on Center and Main have treads barely 9 inches deep, built for railroad workers who didn't plan to grow old in them. I've anchored rails into lath-and-plaster walls from the 1880s where the only solid mounting point is the stair stringer itself — drill into the plaster and you're patching for a week.

When I quote a Bear Meadow split-level or a Depot Square Victorian, I spec DC motors with dry-climate grease, seal every rail joint against grit, and size the rail to clear the tight half-landings these 1880s houses are famous for. Purple Sage ranches off Highway 150 get altitude-rated outdoor units — standard coastal specs won't last a Uinta County winter. Battery backup is standard on every unit I install here, because when a February blizzard hits Evanston, the grid goes down and the lift still needs to run.

— Luis Ramírez, Evanston
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Evanston homeowners don't need a stairlift built for coastal Florida. They need one sized for 6,749-foot altitude, 50-degree freeze-thaw swings, and the tight geometry of homes built when the Union Pacific was still laying track through Uinta County. Whether you're in a Depot Square Victorian with 9-inch treads or a Bear River Drive ranch with a wide straight run, the specs have to match the climate and the house.

Every install we do in Evanston includes altitude-rated electronics, dry-climate lubrication, sealed rail joints, and battery backup as standard. We install, service, and warranty everything ourselves — no subcontractors, no out-of-state dispatch. Call us to schedule a free site visit and quote.
