Will a stairlift damage the staircase in a National Register–listed home like Waynesborough or Roughwood?
The rail mounts to the treads themselves, not the wall, and on most staircases that doesn't require cutting into the structure — the mounting brackets are removable if the lift is ever taken out. For a property actually listed on the National Register, we'd still walk the install with the homeowner beforehand and confirm there's nothing specific to that structure we need to work around.
Can you install a stairlift on Easttown's older, narrower staircases?

Does Pennsylvania Medicaid pay for a stairlift for an Easttown resident?
If you're enrolled in Community HealthChoices, PA's Medicaid managed-care waiver, stairlifts are covered as a home adaptation or as Home Accessibility DME — there's no fixed dollar cap, it's set per person-centered plan.
