Straight Stairlift

Most common · From $3,200

The workhorse of Dallas two-story homes — from Lake Highlands ranches to Frisco new builds. Over 70% of the stairlifts we install in Dallas County and the Collin County corridor are this model. A single straight run, the rail bolts directly into your stair treads (never into the wall or banister), the seat and footrest fold up out of the way, and the battery backup keeps you moving through the next ice storm or hail-driven outage. Most Dallas installs wrap in under four hours from when the truck pulls up.

Starting at $3,200 installed

Stairlift Service Across Dallas County

Dallas County, TX

From Highland Park and Preston Hollow pre-war estates to the 1920s Tudor and craftsman homes of the M Streets, Lakewood, and Lower Greenville — where the stairs are narrow, steep, and carved from oak — our team has mapped every housing stock in the county. We know the 1960s Lake Highlands brick ranch split-levels that need a swivel-exit seat at the half-landing, the Oak Cliff post-war ranches where the Spanish-language consultation matters, and the Bishop Arts bungalows where raised front entries need outdoor lifts sealed against May hail. We also staff dedicated technicians for Plano, Frisco, McKinney, and Allen so you're never waiting on a tech driving up from South Dallas at rush hour. Collin County permits and HOA paperwork are handled by the same tech who walks your stairs.

Lakewood Tudor — straight rail on steep 1930s oak treads

Lakewood, TX Installed March 2026

A 1932 Lakewood Tudor with steep, dark-stained oak treads and a straight run from the living room up to the second floor. The original hardwood had been refinished twice but still had the deep grain and warm patina the Armstrongs wanted to preserve. We bolted the rail directly into the oak treads on the right side, keeping the left-hand banister completely untouched. The seat parks at the bottom landing in the foyer, folded flat against the wall so the front door opens without clearance issues. Mrs. Armstrong tested it three times before we left and said the ride was smoother than she expected on stairs that steep.

Highland Park estate — curved rail with 90-degree turn at upper landing

Highland Park, TX Installed February 2026

A 1928 Mediterranean in Highland Park with a sweeping staircase that bends 90 degrees at the upper floor landing before opening onto the bedroom hallway. The Kowalskis had been told by two other companies that the turn was too tight for a single rail. We laser-scanned the geometry, manufactured a continuous curved rail that follows the bend past the half-wall balustrade, and parked the seat at the upper landing so Mrs. Kowalski steps off onto flat hallway floor. The chandelier above stays untouched and the framed art along the stairwell wall never moved.

Oak Cliff cottage — straight rail alongside vintage sideboard and stone treads

Oak Cliff, TX Installed January 2026

A 1940s Oak Cliff cottage with stone-tile treads and a narrow staircase next to a wooden sideboard that Mrs. Thornton's late husband built in the 1970s. The compact space left no room for a wide-profile rail, so we specified the slim-mount bracket and positioned the rail tight against the wall side. The seat parks at the bottom next to the sideboard and its potted fern, folded flat so the hallway stays passable. A cozy, traditional home where every inch of clearance mattered.

Outdoor

Bishop Arts bungalow — outdoor lift over stone-paved porch entry

Bishop Arts, TX Installed December 2025

A 1925 raised Oak Cliff bungalow in the Bishop Arts District with six exterior stone-paved steps up to the covered front porch. Sr. Treviño could no longer manage the uneven stone in wet weather. We anchored the outdoor rail into the stone paving with sleeve bolts, installed a cream weather-resistant seat with marine-grade upholstery, and sealed the motor housing against the hail and UV exposure that North Texas porches take from May through September. Natural daylight floods the entry from above, and the seat parks at the porch level next to the front door.

Lake Highlands ranch — straight rail on carpeted stairs at the landing

Lake Highlands, TX Installed November 2025

A 1966 Lake Highlands brick ranch with deep brown carpeted stairs and a landing that turns into the upstairs hallway. The carpet-covered treads required longer mounting bolts driven through the pad into the wood substrate underneath, with each bolt torque-verified to prevent loosening as the carpet compresses over time. The brown upholstery on the seat blends with the carpet tone so the lift reads as part of the house rather than medical equipment. Mr. Patel's parents ride it to the kitchen every morning and back up after dinner.

Platform Lift

Pleasant Grove home — indoor wheelchair platform lift with safety edges

Pleasant Grove, TX Installed October 2025

A single-story Pleasant Grove home with a five-step interior level change between the original living area and a 1980s bedroom addition. Mr. Garrett uses a powered wheelchair full-time and had been sleeping in the living room for months. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip platform, high-visibility yellow safety edges along the perimeter, and a white handrail. The lift runs on standard 120V household current against the orange-tinted interior walls, with a keyed lockout so visiting grandchildren cannot operate it unsupervised. Mr. Garrett slept in his own bedroom the night we finished.

Common Questions

Everything Dallas Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Dallas right now?

Straight rails in typical Dallas-area two-story homes run $2,900 to $5,600 installed. Curved rails — the rule rather than the exception in Highland Park, Preston Hollow, the M Streets, and 1940s Lakewood Tudors — run $9,200 to $15,500 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Hail-rated outdoor and weather-sealed models for raised entries in Bishop Arts, Oak Cliff, and East Dallas run $4,200 to $7,800. Every written quote is honored for 30 days and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Dallas than in Houston or Austin?

Equipment pricing is the same across Texas — we don't mark up quotes for a Highland Park or Preston Hollow ZIP code. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: historic banister preservation in 1920s M Streets Tudors, Collin County HOA submission windows in Plano and Frisco, and hail-season rush installs after a major May storm. Every line item is on the quote. No surprise 'Park Cities premiums.'

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Dallas assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and handles most of our Oak Cliff, Pleasant Grove, and East Dallas calls personally. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is also available in Spanish. Zero surcharge. It's how we should have always done business in this city.

Is a used or refurbished stairlift worth considering in Dallas?

A factory-recertified straight rail runs $1,800 to $2,800 installed — roughly 40% less than new. We inspect every recertified unit at our DFW facility, replace batteries, safety sensors, and upholstery, and back it with a 2-year parts-and-labor warranty. Curved rails cannot be refurbished because every curved track is manufactured for one specific staircase geometry. If your stairs are straight with no turns, recertified is a legitimate option that we recommend without hesitation.

A word from Luis

Most Dallas families call me after a near-miss on the stairs — a Lakewood Tudor with a steep 1930s oak tread, a Preston Hollow parent who hasn't been upstairs since a hip replacement, a daughter in California worried about her father in a Lake Highlands split-level.

My promise is simple: I'll be at your door inside 24 hours, I'll measure once, and the written quote is good for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
