Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Fresno County

Fresno County, CA

In Harlan Ranch and Heritage Grove — the master-planned communities on Clovis's northeast edge — the staircases are wide, carpeted, and builder-standard straight runs with 12-14 treads. These install in under four hours. In Old Town Clovis along Clovis Avenue, the housing shifts to 1950s-1970s ranches and cottages where the issue is usually exterior porch steps, not interior stairs. Loma Vista between Shepherd and Herndon has a mix of 1980s split-levels with landing turns that require curved rails fabricated to exact geometry. Out toward Temperance-Kutner and the rural-residential parcels east of the city, we see raised ranch homes on larger lots where outdoor lifts handle the grade change from driveway to front entry. We also cover Tarpey Village, Sunnyside, and northwest Fresno — every address in the 93611 through 93730 zip range is inside our same-day assessment radius.

Harlan Ranch two-story — straight rail on original oak-laminate treads

Harlan Ranch, CA Installed February 2026

A 2008 two-story in Harlan Ranch with builder-grade oak-laminate treads and a 14-step straight run from the front foyer to the upstairs bedrooms. Mrs. Nguyen had a total knee replacement at Clovis Community Medical Center in January and her orthopedic surgeon told the family she shouldn't do stairs unassisted for at least eight weeks. Her daughter called us from San Jose on a Tuesday, we measured on Wednesday, and the lift was running by Friday afternoon. The rail bolts into the stair treads — never into the wall — and the chair folds flat against the rail so Mr. Nguyen can still carry laundry baskets up the other side without brushing against it. Mrs. Nguyen used it the day she came home from post-op rehab and hasn't stopped since.

Loma Vista split-level — curved rail with upper landing exit

Loma Vista, CA Installed January 2026

A 1985 split-level in Loma Vista between Shepherd and Herndon with the classic Central Valley floor plan — five steps from the sunken living room to the kitchen level, a 90-degree landing, then nine more steps to the bedrooms. Two other companies told the Sandovals they would need two separate straight lifts with a transfer at the landing. We laser-scanned the entire staircase, fabricated a single curved rail that carries Mr. Sandoval from the living room to the upper hallway in one continuous ride, and added a swivel-exit seat at the top so he steps off onto the carpet instead of the top tread. Luis walked the family through every control in Spanish at Mrs. Sandoval's request. The rail hugs the wall side and leaves 28 inches of clear stair width for the grandchildren.

Old Town Clovis cottage — straight rail on stone-entry interior stairs

Old Town Clovis, CA Installed December 2025

A 1962 cottage two blocks from Clovis Avenue with original flagstone at the entry and narrow interior stairs leading up to a converted loft bedroom. Mrs. Patterson is 79 and had been sleeping on the living room couch for two months because the loft stairs felt too steep after a fall. Her son drove down from Sacramento, called us from the driveway, and we had a tech there the next morning. The staircase is tight — 30 inches wall to wall — but the slim-profile rail mounts flush on the left side and still leaves 26 inches of clear width. We anchored the base plate into the flagstone landing with masonry bolts rated for the substrate. Mrs. Patterson is back in her own bed.

Outdoor

Sierra Vista raised porch — outdoor lift on stone paving entry

Sierra Vista, CA Installed November 2025

A 1990s ranch in Sierra Vista with a raised front porch, six exterior steps, and decorative stone paving on every tread. Mr. Cha is a retired Army sergeant who served at Fort Irwin and uses the VA Central California Health Care System at 2615 E Clinton Ave in Fresno. He qualified for a HISA grant — we prefilled VA Form 10-0103, his VA provider wrote the prescription in 19 days, and the grant covered the full installed cost. The outdoor rail is sealed against Central Valley dust, UV-coated for the 105-degree summer sun, and anchored into the stone paving with stainless masonry hardware. It ran through its first full July-August heat cycle without a service call.

Heritage Grove colonial — straight rail on deep-pile carpeted stairs

Heritage Grove, CA Installed October 2025

A 2012 colonial in Heritage Grove with builder-standard deep-pile carpet on every tread and a wide, straight 13-step run. Mr. Whitfield had a stroke in August that left him with reduced grip strength on his left side — his occupational therapist at Saint Agnes Medical Center recommended a stairlift before discharge. His wife called us on a Thursday and we installed the following Monday. The rail brackets compress through the carpet pad into the tread substrate, locked down with lag bolts so there is zero flex underfoot. The seat's padded armrests and powered swivel let Mr. Whitfield mount and dismount without relying on his left grip. His OT signed off on the install during a follow-up home visit.

Platform Lift

Clovis ranch addition — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Temperance-Kutner, CA Installed September 2025

A 1970s ranch east of Clovis with a 2004 addition that created a three-step level change between the original hallway and the new family room. Mrs. Dominguez uses a power wheelchair full-time after a spinal cord injury and the three steps meant she could not access half her own home without transferring out of the chair. We installed an indoor inclined platform lift with high-visibility yellow safety edges on the platform and upper landing gate, ADA-compliant controls at wheelchair height, and a non-slip platform surface rated for a 750-lb combined load. The lift runs on standard 120V household power with battery backup. Mrs. Dominguez rolls on, presses a single button, and rolls off at the family room level without ever leaving her chair. Her home health aide confirmed it cut transfer-related injury risk to zero.

Common Questions

Everything Clovis Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Clovis right now?

Straight rails in the standard Clovis two-stories — Harlan Ranch, Heritage Grove, Loma Vista colonials — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for split-level landing turns (common in the 1980s homes between Shepherd and Herndon) run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is fabricated to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor lifts for raised porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, heat-rated battery backup, and the first service visit.

Does the Central Valley heat affect pricing or maintenance?

Not pricing — heat-rated lithium batteries and sealed motor housings are standard on every Clovis install at no upcharge. What it does affect is long-term reliability if you go with a cut-rate installer who ships standard batteries. Off-the-shelf lithium packs stored in un-insulated garages or exterior applications above 100°F fail within two summers in the San Joaquin Valley. Our heat-rated packs are warrantied for five years in Central Valley conditions.

Are prices different in Clovis than in Fresno proper?

Equipment and installation prices are identical across the Fresno-Clovis metro. We don't charge travel fees anywhere in Fresno County — whether you're in Harlan Ranch, Old Town Clovis, Tower District, or Fig Garden. The only variable is staircase complexity: a straight run in a 2010 Heritage Grove colonial installs faster than a curved rail in a 1985 Loma Vista split-level, and the quote reflects the actual hardware difference.

Do outdoor stairlifts cost more because of the Central Valley climate?

The equipment price is the same as anywhere in California. What we do include at no extra charge is the heat-rated battery pack and UV-coated rail finish, because standard components degrade fast in 105°F summers with San Joaquin Valley dust. The outdoor install runs $4,000 to $7,500 depending on the number of steps and rail length. Every outdoor quote includes the climate-rated specs — no add-on pricing for the heat package.

A word from Luis

Most Clovis families reach out after something real — a parent who slipped on the carpeted stairs in a Harlan Ranch two-story, a grandmother in Old Town who stopped going upstairs three months ago and nobody noticed until Thanksgiving, a retired airman from Lemoore who finally admitted the front porch steps were the reason he hadn't checked the mail in weeks.

I drive out the same day you call. I measure once, write the quote on the spot, and it holds for 30 days. No scripts. No follow-up calls from a sales floor. En español si lo prefiere.
