Stairlift Service Across Beaver County

Beaver County, PA

Center Township wraps around Homer City borough along the Route 119 corridor in Indiana County. Coral and Lucerne Mines hold the coal-camp cottages built by Rochester & Pittsburgh Coal between 1907 and the 1920s — narrow 7.5-inch oak treads, steep pitch, original newel posts. Aultman and Coy add small frame houses from the same era with tight quarter-landings. Along the Edgewood stretch and toward Graceton, postwar ranches from the 1950s and 1960s sit on full basements with carpeted upper-floor stairs. Toward Two Licks Creek and the IUP edge in White Township, 1980s split-levels need curved rails for half-landing turns. We also serve Homer City, Indiana borough, Black Lick, Clymer, and Blairsville.

Straight

Coral coal-camp cottage — straight rail on original oak treads

Coral, PA Installed March 2026

A 1922 R&P Coal company cottage in Coral with original oak stair treads that have held up for over a century. The Morrisons were firm: no damage to the wood. We used clean-bore brackets into the treads only, matched the rail finish to the aged oak, and the beige seat parks at the bottom landing. Mrs. Morrison rode up to her own bedroom that evening.

Lucerne Mines split-level — curved rail around a 90° upper-landing turn

Lucerne Mines, PA Installed February 2026

A 1971 split-level above Two Licks Creek in Lucerne Mines with a 90-degree turn at the upper landing. The Kowalskis' stair is typical Indiana County split-level — 33 inches between banister post and wall. We laser-scanned the geometry, fabricated the curved rail to the exact turn radius, and the brown seat parks at the upper landing. Another company had told them the stair was too narrow.

Aultman cottage — compact straight rail beside a sideboard on stone-tile treads

Aultman, PA Installed January 2026

A small early-1900s frame house in Aultman with light stone-tile treads on a tight interior stair next to a wooden sideboard at the bottom landing. The brown seat matches the earthy stone. We bolted the rail into the tile treads with masonry anchors, kept the seat profile slim so Mrs. Campbell can still reach her sideboard, and finished by lunch. Another installer had told her the space was too tight.

Edgewood porch — outdoor lift on stone-paved entry with cream seat

Edgewood, PA Installed December 2025

A raised front porch on a postwar Edgewood ranch with six flagstone steps between driveway and front door. Mr. Schultz had avoided his own front entry for a year after a fall on the icy stone during a February freeze. We mounted the outdoor rail on the flagstone with stainless anchors, sealed the IP55 motor, and fitted a cream UV-resistant seat rated for Indiana County freeze-thaw. He uses his own front door again.

Graceton split-foyer — straight rail on carpeted stairs to upper bedrooms

Graceton, PA Installed November 2025

A 1968 split-foyer in Graceton with carpeted stairs from the tiled ground-floor entry up to the bedrooms. The carpet-covered treads are warm brown and the brown seat blends right in near the upper landing. Mr. Garner had knee replacement surgery five days before the call. The standard 15-foot run with consistent riser heights was one of our fastest installs. He slept upstairs that same night.

Platform Lift

Coy split-level — indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift, 600 lb

Coy, PA Installed October 2025

A 1973 split-level in Coy where Mrs. O'Brien uses a power wheelchair full-time and cannot transfer to a seated lift. We installed an inclined platform — flat black anti-slip deck, yellow high-visibility safety edges, white handrail along the wall — on the indoor stair. The 600 lb-rated platform carries the wheelchair and rider between living level and upper bedrooms. The family had been thinking of selling the home of 35 years.

Common Questions

Everything Center Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Center Township right now?

Straight rails in a standard Center Township home run $2,750 to $5,400 fully installed. Curved rails — needed for split-levels in Lucerne Mines and homes with quarter-landing turns — run $8,800 to $14,700, because the rail is custom-fabricated to your exact staircase geometry. Every quote is written, itemized, and honored for 30 days. The quote covers everything: rail, seat, installation labor, battery backup, and the first service visit. No separate line items added after you agree.

Why do Center Township stairlift prices differ from online estimates?

Online stairlift prices typically quote equipment only — without installation labor, rail cutting, bracket hardware, battery backup, or the measurement visit. In Center Township, the installed cost also reflects staircase complexity: a steep narrow run in a 1920s coal-camp cottage in Coral is a different project from a curved split-level near Two Licks Creek. Our written quote includes every cost. If you compare quotes between companies, make sure you are comparing installed totals, not equipment-only numbers.

Is the in-home assessment free?

Yes, completely free — no obligation. Luis measures your staircase, photographs the geometry, identifies whether you need a straight or curved rail, and leaves you with a written quote the same day. For curved-rail projects in the township's Lucerne Mines and Edgewood split-levels, that measurement data goes directly to fabrication — so it is a real working visit, not a sales presentation. You take the quote, review it at your own pace, and call us when you are ready.

Are there financing options for Center Township homeowners?

Yes. We work with three lending partners offering 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans starting from $79 per month. The credit application is a soft pull — no impact to your score — takes about four minutes, and typically returns a same-day decision. Many Center Township homeowners combine financing with VA HISA grant funds or PA Community HealthChoices benefits to bring the net cost down. We model the math with you during the free assessment so you are not doing it alone.

A word from Luis

Center Township sits along Route 119 in Indiana County, wrapping around Homer City borough and reaching toward IUP in White Township. The housing stock runs deep on coal heritage — Coral, Lucerne Mines, Aultman, and Coy hold the R&P Coal company cottages built between 1907 and the 1920s, with narrow 7.5-inch oak treads and original newel posts. Postwar ranches and 1970s split-levels fill in the rest, and the township's median age sits well above the state average — these are homes where families have aged in place for two and three generations.

The veteran share here is meaningful, and most don't realize the VA HISA grant covers up to $6,800 toward a stairlift for service-connected disabilities. The Indiana County VA Clinic at 101 IRMC Drive handles routine claims, with VA Pittsburgh University Drive C as the parent VAMC. I prefill the paperwork and follow up with both directly. Pennsylvania's Community HealthChoices Medicaid program covers home modifications for qualifying residents — a path most families in Center Township never hear about from other installers.
