Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Camden County

Camden County, NJ

From the narrow rowhouse stairwells of Lanning Square — where 68% of the housing stock is attached row homes built between 1880 and 1920 with steep treads and original banisters — to the Federal-style homes of Fairview (Yorkship Village), where tight upper-landing turns require custom-curved rails past century-old newel posts, our team has mapped every block. Parkside's twins along Farnham Park have slightly wider stairwells and families who've held the same home for decades. Cramer Hill's 1920s frame homes have steep treads and a large Spanish-speaking community — Luis conducts every assessment in Spanish on request. Adjacent Collingswood, Gloucester City, Oaklyn, and Haddon Township are covered with no travel fee.

1904 Lanning Square rowhouse — compact rail on original dark hardwood treads

Lanning Square, NJ Installed March 2026

A 1904 brick rowhouse in Lanning Square with dark hardwood treads worn smooth by 120 years of foot traffic and a straight staircase so steep the original builders barely left room for a handrail. Mrs. Patterson had been sleeping on the first-floor couch for four months because the stairs to her bedroom were too risky after a hip replacement. We fitted the compact-profile rail directly into the oak treads — the beige seat folds flat at the bottom landing, leaving the full tread width open for her grandson who lives on the upper floor. The 1904 turned balusters were never touched. Mrs. Patterson slept in her own bed the night of the install for the first time since November.

1918 Fairview (Yorkship Village) Federal — curved rail past the original upper landing

Fairview, NJ Installed February 2026

A 1918 Federal-style home in Fairview — originally built for a New York Shipbuilding Company foreman — with a tight upper-landing turn and original woodwork around Yorkship Square that the family was determined to preserve. Mr. Garza's mother had moved into the first-floor parlor because the turn at the top of the stairs was too narrow for her walker. We digitally scanned the staircase, fabricated a curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the upper landing with less than an inch of clearance past the original newel post, and installed a swivel-exit seat so she steps off directly onto the landing floor. Framed family photos line the staircase wall and the chandelier at the upper hall still lights the way. She moved back upstairs the same day.

Parkside twin near Farnham Park — straight rail on stone treads beside the hall cabinet

Parkside, NJ Installed January 2026

A 1920s twin in Parkside bordering Farnham Park with stone-and-tile treads and a compact staircase that opens into a hallway with a wooden sideboard and a potted plant. The home has that warm, traditional Parkside feel — small rooms, period furniture, a family that's held the same house for three generations. We bolted the rail directly into the stone treads using masonry anchors, keeping the brown-upholstered seat tucked against the wall at the bottom near the sideboard so the narrow hallway stays clear. Mrs. Williams had a knee replacement in November and her husband wanted the lift working before she finished physical therapy. She rode it down to the kitchen the first morning and made coffee for both of them.

East Camden raised porch — weather-sealed cream seat on stone-paved entry steps

East Camden, NJ Installed December 2025

A 1930s brick home in East Camden with a raised front porch and rough natural stone paving at the entry — seven exterior steps from the sidewalk to the front door. Mr. Harper is a veteran who qualified for a HISA grant through the Wilmington VA Medical Center across the Delaware River. The cream-colored weather-resistant seat rides a marine-grade rail anchored into the stone pavers with stainless-steel masonry bolts. A carpeted outdoor tread mat at the base keeps the bottom landing from getting slick in wet weather. The motor housing carries an IP55 rating for the freeze-thaw cycles and nor'easters that hit Camden County from November through March. Mr. Harper uses his front door again — the porch steps he hadn't been able to manage since his back surgery are no longer an obstacle.

Cramer Hill three-generation home — straight rail on carpeted stairs with bilingual walkthrough

Cramer Hill, NJ Installed October 2025

A 1920s frame home in Cramer Hill where three generations share the same roof and the carpet-covered staircase runs from a tiled landing to the second-floor bedrooms. Sra. Delgado had been carried upstairs by her grandsons every night for months because the carpeted treads had become too slippery after her knee gave out. Luis conducted the full assessment in Spanish, walked her through every button and safety feature twice at her request, and fitted a straight rail with a brown-upholstered seat that blends with the carpet tones. The seat and footrest fold flat at the landing so the grandchildren can still use the stairs without stepping over equipment. We left behind a Spanish-language operating manual and warranty card. She rode the lift herself that evening while the whole family watched from the hallway.

Platform Lift

Cooper Grant two-family — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Cooper Grant, NJ Installed November 2025

A renovated rowhouse in Cooper Grant where Mr. Brennan uses a power wheelchair full-time after his second cardiac event left him unable to transfer safely to a seated stairlift. A regular chair lift was never an option — he needed the wheelchair itself to travel between floors. We installed an indoor inclined platform lift with a flat black anti-slip platform and bright yellow high-visibility safety edges along the perimeter. The orange-toned stairway walls and the window at the mid-landing give the space natural light, and the white handrail runs alongside the platform track. Interlocking gates at both levels and a keyed call station prevent unsupervised operation. The platform is rated for 750 lbs to handle the power wheelchair plus occupant with margin to spare. Mr. Brennan's cardiologist at Cooper University Hospital signed off on the specifications before we ordered the unit. He rides it twice a day, every day.

Common Questions

Everything Camden Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Camden right now?

Straight rails in standard Camden homes — the Parkside twins, the Cramer Hill frame houses, the Collingswood postwar colonials — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, needed for some Lanning Square rowhouses with winding stairs, Fairview homes with tight upper turns, and Haddon Township split-levels with mid-landing turns, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact geometry. Outdoor and freeze-rated models for front-porch exterior stairs run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Is Camden cheaper than other NJ cities for stairlifts?

Equipment prices are the same across New Jersey — we don't adjust quotes based on neighborhood or zip code. What varies is install labor for unusual conditions: compact-rail installs in narrow Lanning Square and Parkside rowhouses, banister-preservation work in Fairview Yorkship Village homes, and adding a new outlet in homes with undersized electrical panels (common in pre-1940s Camden construction). We show you every line item upfront. No neighborhood markups.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Camden County assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and has walked families in Cramer Hill and East Camden through every line of the paperwork in their preferred language. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is also available in Spanish. Zero surcharge. For the Hispanic community in Camden, this is how the conversation should go from the first phone call.

Is a used or refurbished stairlift worth it for a Camden rowhouse?

We sell certified refurbished straight rails starting around $2,000 installed — a real option for Camden rowhouse owners on a budget. Every refurbished unit gets a new battery, new upholstery, recalibrated safety sensors, and carries a 2-year parts-and-labor warranty. What we won't do is install a used unit with an expired safety certification or sell you a straight rail when your staircase actually needs a curve. The assessment is free, and we'll tell you honestly whether a refurbished unit fits your staircase.

A word from Luis

Most Camden families call me after the same moment — a parent gripping the bannister of a Parkside rowhouse with both hands, a grandmother sleeping on the couch in a Cramer Hill twin because the bedrooms are on the second floor, a son across the bridge in Philly who hasn't been able to visit without worrying about the stairs in his mother's Lanning Square home since her knee gave out.

My job is simple: get to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
