Stairlift Service Across Suffolk County

Suffolk County, NY

From Patchogue — the town's commercial center, where 1950s Cape Cods line the residential blocks with steep second-floor stairs — to Port Jefferson on the North Shore with original Victorian banisters and tighter staircase geometries, our team covers every hamlet in the Town of Brookhaven. We know which Medford and Coram ranches have the split-level entry that creates a trip hazard, which Shirley and Mastic waterfront homes need marine-grade hardware for Atlantic salt exposure, which Center Moriches Cape Cods have steep narrow second-floor stairs needing the compact-profile rail, and which Bellport historic homes require preservation-sensitive installation. Stony Brook near the university has the mix of 1960s ranches and newer construction that accounts for our most straightforward installs.

1958 Patchogue Cape Cod — compact rail for steep second-floor stairs

Patchogue, NY Installed March 2026

A 1958 Cape Cod in Patchogue with steep, narrow second-floor stairs — the classic Long Island layout where the second floor was an afterthought added to a single-story footprint. Mrs. Sullivan's daughter called after her mother stopped sleeping upstairs entirely. We used the compact-profile rail, bolted into the dark hardwood treads without touching the walls, and the seat parks unfolded at the bottom of the open-tread staircase. Measured Wednesday, installed Friday.

Stony Brook colonial — custom curved rail around upper-floor landing

Stony Brook, NY Installed February 2026

A 1975 colonial near Stony Brook University with a staircase that curves 90° around a half-wall at the upper landing. Two other companies quoted a straight rail that would stop short of the top floor, requiring Dr. Kim to step off on the turn — exactly the kind of transfer his orthopedic surgeon warned against. We laser-scanned the full run, fabricated a curved rail that bends around the balustrade, and parked the seat at the upper hallway where he steps off onto flat floor. The chandelier and framed art stayed untouched.

Coram ranch — compact straight rail in a traditional split-level entry

Coram, NY Installed January 2026

A 1972 ranch in Coram with a compact split-level entry — stone tile treads, a wooden sideboard at the base of the stairs, and the kind of traditional cottage feel that makes every square inch count. Mr. DeLuca needed the stairway to stay passable for the rest of the family, so we specified the slim-profile rail and parked the seat at the bottom landing next to the sideboard. The folding footrest tucks tight. The cozy, traditional interior stayed exactly as it was.

Outdoor

Shirley waterfront — marine-grade outdoor rail for South Shore salt air

Shirley, NY Installed December 2025

A waterfront home in Shirley with a raised porch entry and exterior steps from the driveway to the front door over natural stone paving. The salt air off the Atlantic had already corroded the original aluminum handrails in five years. We installed a weather-sealed outdoor rail with a cream-colored seat, marine-grade epoxy coating, and 316-stainless fasteners anchored into the stone treads. The seat folds up flush to keep the porch steps clear for other traffic. It's been through two nor'easters without a service call.

Medford ranch — swivel-exit seat on carpeted stairs

Medford, NY Installed November 2025

A 1968 ranch in Medford with 14 carpeted treads and a tight newel post at the top. Mrs. Antonelli's biggest concern was stepping off at the upper landing — her husband had fallen there the previous winter. We installed a straight rail with the brown-upholstered seat that blends with the carpet tones, plus a swivel-exit that rotates 90° at the top so she steps onto the tiled hallway floor instead of the narrow top step. The folding footrest keeps the stairway clear for the grandchildren.

Platform Lift

Center Moriches indoor platform lift — wheelchair access between floors

Center Moriches, NY Installed October 2025

Mr. Fernandez uses a power wheelchair and the indoor stairway in their Center Moriches home had no room for a ramp. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the interior staircase — a flat anti-slip platform with high-visibility yellow safety edges and a white handrail, designed for riders who cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. The orange-walled stairway required careful rail routing past the window, but the finished platform carries him smoothly between floors without leaving his chair.

Common Questions

Everything Brookhaven Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Brookhaven right now?

Straight rails in standard Brookhaven homes — the Patchogue Cape Cods, the Medford ranches, the Coram colonials — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, needed for Port Jefferson Victorian turns, Coram split-level landings, and any staircase with a 90° change, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact geometry. Outdoor models for raised entries and South Shore waterfront homes run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Brookhaven than other parts of Long Island?

Equipment prices are the same across Suffolk County — we don't inflate quotes based on hamlet. What varies slightly is install labor: marine-grade hardware for South Shore waterfront homes in Shirley and Mastic, historic-banister preservation in Port Jefferson and Bellport, and the occasional need for a dedicated electrical circuit in a 1960s Cape Cod with an original 100-amp panel. We tell you the line items upfront.

Is a used or refurbished stairlift worth considering?

For straight staircases, a certified refurbished unit can save 30-40% — we carry factory-reconditioned models with new upholstery, new batteries, and a 2-year warranty. For curved rails, refurbished is almost never possible because the rail is manufactured to a specific staircase. If your Brookhaven home has a standard straight run, ask during the assessment. Every refurbished unit on the South Shore gets the same marine-grade treatment as new installs.

What financing options are available for Brookhaven homeowners?

Three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans from $79/month. Application is a soft credit pull — no hit to your score — takes about 4 minutes, and approval is usually instant. Many Suffolk County families combine financing with the IRS medical deduction or a partial HISA grant. We walk you through the math during the free assessment.

A word from Luis

Most Brookhaven families call me after the same conversation — a parent who slipped on the stairs in a Patchogue Cape Cod, a spouse who hasn't been upstairs since the knee replacement at Stony Brook Hospital, a daughter in Manhattan worried about her mother alone in the Medford ranch she's owned since 1975.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells.
