Stairlift Service Across Snohomish County

Snohomish County, WA

From the established ramblers and colonials of Shelton View — where 1970s and 1980s homes sit on generous wooded lots along quiet cul-de-sacs — to the newer construction in Canyon Creek with its two-story entries and open floor plans, our team has measured staircases across every Bothell West neighborhood. Tambark Creek’s 1990s production homes have standard 36-inch stairwells with carpeted treads that take straight rails without complication. Filbert’s older homes near the Bothell–Everett Highway often have steeper stairwells and narrower passages that benefit from slim-profile rail mounting. Crystal Creek’s hillside properties feature split-level entries with mid-landing turns requiring custom curved rails. Alderwood’s mix of ranch homes and newer townhome infill means we see everything from original 1960s straight runs to modern open-riser staircases. The persistent Puget Sound moisture means every outdoor install here gets marine-grade stainless fasteners and weather-sealed motor housings as standard.

1985 Shelton View rambler — straight rail on carpeted basement stairs

Shelton View, WA Installed March 2026

A 1985 rambler in the Shelton View neighborhood with 14 carpeted treads leading to a finished basement. Mr. Kowalski had been avoiding the basement entirely after his second knee replacement at Swedish Edmonds because the steep stairs with thick carpet pile felt unstable. We laser-measured the 15-foot run, bolted the rail through the carpet into the wooden treads beneath without removing or cutting any carpet, and installed the same week. The seat parks at the top of the stairs and folds flat against the wall. Mr. Kowalski was back in his basement workshop that evening.

1988 Crystal Creek split-level — curved rail through a 90° landing turn

Crystal Creek, WA Installed February 2026

A 1988 split-level in Crystal Creek with five steps from the garage entry to the kitchen, a 90-degree landing, then eight more steps to the bedrooms. Mrs. Andersen is a retired Air Force nurse who served at Fairchild AFB and has lived in this house since 1992. We laser-scanned the full run on the first visit, fabricated a single curved rail that carries her from the entry to the upper hallway without stopping, and installed a swivel-exit seat so she steps off onto carpet instead of balancing on the top tread. Her VA provider at VA Puget Sound wrote the HISA prescription and the grant covered $6,800 of the cost.

1990s Canyon Creek colonial — slim-profile rail in two-story foyer

Canyon Creek, WA Installed January 2026

A 1994 colonial in Canyon Creek with a two-story foyer and 15 hardwood treads leading to the upper bedrooms. The brown-upholstered seat sits at the base of the staircase near a wooden sideboard in the entry hall. The slim-profile rail mounts flush against the wall side, and folded, the entire unit takes up just 12 inches — leaving plenty of clearance on the 38-inch-wide staircase. Mrs. Yamamoto’s visiting physical therapist said the low-profile design was among the least obtrusive she had seen in a Snohomish County home.

Alderwood ranch — outdoor lift with marine-grade hardware on mossy entry steps

Alderwood, WA Installed December 2025

A 1965 ranch in the Alderwood area with a raised front entry and seven concrete steps that collect moss and standing water every fall and winter. Mr. Bergstrom fell once and bruised three ribs before his son called. We installed the outdoor lift with 316 marine-grade stainless fasteners instead of standard zinc-plated, an IP55-sealed motor housing that keeps out rain and wind-driven moisture, and a fitted cover that sheds water and prevents moss growth on the seat. The battery backup keeps the lift running during winter power outages. The entire Bothell West winter passed without a single service call.

Tambark Creek home — straight rail, same-week install for out-of-state daughter

Tambark Creek, WA Installed November 2025

A 1993 two-story in the Tambark Creek neighborhood with standard 36-inch-wide carpeted stairs. Mrs. Carlson’s daughter in San Francisco called on Tuesday, we measured Wednesday, and the install crew finished Thursday afternoon. The rail bolts through the carpet into the wooden treads beneath — no carpet removal, no damage to the pile. The seat folds flat against the wall, and the installer programmed both wireless remotes and left a printed manual on the wall next to the controls. Mrs. Carlson texted her daughter a video of herself riding it that same evening.

Platform Lift

Filbert home — inclined wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Filbert, WA Installed October 2025

A two-story home in the Filbert area where Mr. Lopez uses a power wheelchair full-time after a construction site accident. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed to ride his chair between floors. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway: a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges on all thresholds, white handrails, and a keyed lockout so visiting grandchildren cannot activate it unsupervised. The COPES Waiver covered the full cost through his DSHS Home and Community Services coordinator. Mr. Lopez rolls onto the platform, presses one button, and rides the incline to the upper floor without ever leaving his chair.

Common Questions

Everything Bothell West Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Bothell West, WA?

Straight rails in standard Bothell West homes — the Tambark Creek production builds, the Shelton View ramblers, the Alderwood ranches — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for landing turns in Crystal Creek split-levels run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are rental stairlifts available in Bothell West?

Yes — monthly rental plans start at $150/month for straight rails with a 3-month minimum. Rentals make sense for temporary recovery after surgery at Swedish Edmonds or Providence Regional, when you know you’ll regain stair mobility within 6 to 12 months. The rental includes installation, removal, and all service visits. If you decide to purchase later, we credit the first three months of rental toward the purchase price.

Is a stairlift cheaper than assisted living in Snohomish County?

Assisted living in Snohomish County averages $5,400 per month — over $64,000 per year. A straight stairlift installs in under four hours for $2,800 to $5,500, one time. Even a curved rail at $15,000 costs less than three months of assisted living. For most Bothell West families, aging in place with a stairlift preserves independence and saves tens of thousands of dollars compared to any residential care facility.

Do you offer financing in Bothell West?

Yes. We offer fixed-rate financing from $79 per month with no prepayment penalties. Most Bothell West homeowners choose 36- or 60-month terms. You can also combine financing with VA HISA grant funds or Washington COPES Waiver coverage to reduce or eliminate out-of-pocket cost. We walk you through every option during the free assessment.

A word from Luis

Most Bothell West families call after a scare on the stairs — a slip on the carpeted run in a Shelton View rambler, a grandmother who hasn’t been upstairs since shoulder surgery at Swedish Edmonds, a son in Portland worried about his parents in a 1980s Canyon Creek split-level they built themselves and refuse to leave.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure the staircase, and hand you a written quote that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
