Stairlift Service Across Johnson County

Johnson County, IN

From the two-story colonials and traditional homes in Stones Crossing along SR 135, to the newer construction in Heartland Crossing and the custom-built homes in The Preserve at Bargersville, our crew has measured staircases across every subdivision in town. The Cobblestone neighborhood near Bargersville Main Street features standard two-story floor plans with 36-inch-wide straight-run stairs that simplify every install. Homes along Morgantown Road and the older properties near downtown Bargersville carry narrower stairwells and steeper pitches from 1960s and 1970s construction. The larger estate homes in Wynne Farms and The Lakes at Grassy Creek have wider open-stair plans with hardwood treads and open risers.

Straight

Stones Crossing colonial — straight rail on carpeted stairs, same-week install

Stones Crossing, IN Installed March 2026

A two-story colonial in the Stones Crossing subdivision along SR 135 with standard 36-inch carpeted stairs. Mr. Kendrick had been sleeping in the downstairs guest room for three weeks after a stroke because the 14-step climb to the master bedroom was off-limits. We laser-measured Monday, confirmed the rail would bolt through the carpet into wooden treads beneath with no carpet removal, and installed Wednesday morning. The brown-upholstered seat folds flat against the wall at the bottom. Mr. Kendrick slept in his own bedroom Wednesday night.

Wynne Farms estate — curved rail through an open balcony staircase

Wynne Farms, IN Installed February 2026

A custom-built estate home in Wynne Farms with a sweeping curved staircase from the two-story foyer to the open upstairs balcony — 16 hardwood treads with a continuous 180-degree arc. Mrs. Turner's mother moved in after a fall at her own home and needed safe access to the upstairs guest suite. We digitally scanned the entire arc on the first visit, fabricated a single curved rail that follows the banister line, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the top so she steps onto the balcony hardwood rather than balancing on the top tread. The rail hugs the wall side and the open banister view from the foyer is preserved.

Morgantown Road ranch — straight rail on steep basement stairs

Morgantown Road, IN Installed January 2026

A 1972 ranch on Morgantown Road with steep wooden basement stairs — 12 treads, 34 inches wide, leading down to the laundry and family room. Mrs. Patterson had stopped doing her own laundry after a near-fall on the third step. The rail bolts into the treads on the right side, leaving the left handrail fully open. The slim-profile seat folds flat at the top, leaving 23 inches of clear passage. Luis walked Mrs. Patterson through every control at the kitchen table, and her son in Greenwood tested the emergency stop before leaving. She has done her own laundry every week since the install.

The Preserve home — outdoor lift on raised front entry steps

The Preserve at Bargersville, IN Installed December 2025

A newer two-story home in The Preserve at Bargersville with six poured-concrete front steps leading to the covered entry. Mr. Cooper had not used his own front door in two months after hip replacement surgery at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis — his wife had been driving him around to the garage entrance. The cream-colored weather-resistant seat sits at the bottom step, ready when he returns from errands. Every component is UV-stabilized for Indiana summers, sealed against spring storms, and carries corrosion-resistant hardware rated for sub-zero freeze-thaw cycles.

Heartland Crossing home — straight rail on wide oak treads, 2.5-hour install

Heartland Crossing, IN Installed November 2025

A two-story traditional home in Heartland Crossing with wide oak treads and a 38-inch-wide staircase. Mr. Reeves served in the Indiana National Guard out of Camp Atterbury and his back cannot handle the stairs anymore. His daughter in Indianapolis called on Wednesday, we measured Thursday morning, and the install crew arrived Friday afternoon. The rail mounts flush against the wall on the right side, leaving the left banister fully open. The swivel seat at the top lets Mr. Reeves step off onto the upstairs hallway facing the master bedroom door. He was riding it by Friday evening.

Platform Lift

The Lakes at Grassy Creek home — inclined wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

The Lakes at Grassy Creek, IN Installed October 2025

A two-story home in The Lakes at Grassy Creek where Mr. Jackson uses a power wheelchair full-time after a spinal cord injury during his Army service. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed to ride his chair between floors. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway: a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges on all thresholds, white handrails, and a keyed lockout so visiting grandchildren cannot activate it unsupervised. The HISA grant covered $6,800 and the PathWays for Aging waiver covered the remaining balance through his Medicaid service coordinator. Mr. Jackson rolls onto the platform, presses one button, and rides the incline to the upper floor without leaving his chair.

Common Questions

Everything Bargersville Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Bargersville, IN?

Straight rails in Bargersville homes — the two-story colonials at Stones Crossing, the traditional homes in Heartland Crossing, the newer builds in The Preserve — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for the custom homes in Wynne Farms or The Lakes at Grassy Creek with landing turns run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your staircase's exact geometry. Outdoor models for raised front entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are Bargersville stairlift prices different from Indianapolis or Greenwood?

Equipment prices are identical across Indiana — we do not adjust based on city size. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: steep original treads in older homes near downtown Bargersville, open-riser staircases in the estate homes along Wynne Farms, or elevated front entries on newer construction. Those adjustments are line-itemed on the written quote — no hidden fees.

Is a stairlift cheaper than moving to a single-story home?

Relocation costs in Johnson County — real estate commission, closing costs, moving crew, new deposits — run $15,000 to $30,000 minimum given current home values. A straight stairlift installs in under four hours for $2,800 to $5,500 and lets you stay in the home you built or bought in the neighborhood you chose, close to your doctors and your grandchildren's schools. For most Bargersville families, the stairlift costs less than the real estate commission alone.

Do you offer financing for Bargersville homeowners?

Yes. We offer 12-month interest-free financing and extended terms up to 60 months starting at $79 per month for a standard straight install. Approval takes minutes during the in-home visit. We also help you stack financing with VA HISA, Indiana PathWays for Aging waiver, or Johnson County Senior Services assistance so you pay the lowest possible out-of-pocket.

A word from Luis

Bargersville families usually call after a health event changes the math on their staircase — a father recovering from hip surgery at Franciscan Health who has not been upstairs in four weeks, a grandmother who slipped on the carpeted stairs in a Stones Crossing subdivision home, a daughter in Indianapolis worried about her parents aging in the two-story colonial they built 25 years ago.

I drive out, measure the staircase, and hand you a written quote good for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. We install most straight rails within a week of the first call.
