Stairlift Service Across Richmond County

Richmond County, GA

From the 1880s-1920s Victorians of Summerville — where the conversation is always about preserving original woodwork and fitting a rail past settled, uneven stair treads — to Olde Town with its narrow cottage staircases and brick-and-plaster construction, our team has measured every stair shape Augusta builds. We know which Harrisburg and Laney-Walker homes have the post-war geometry for a quick straight install, which National Hills ranch splits need a swivel-exit seat at the landing, and which West Augusta and Evans two-stories have wide modern treads that install in under three hours.

Summerville Victorian — straight rail on original hardwood treads, banister untouched

Summerville, GA Installed March 2026

An 1895 Summerville Victorian with original dark hardwood treads that have been maintained for over a century. The family was clear: nothing touches the hand-carved banister. We bolted the straight rail directly into the hardwood treads, color-matched the rail finish to the warm oak tone, and left the banister, newel post, and walls completely untouched. The seat parks at the bottom landing in the warm indoor foyer.

Olde Town — curved rail with 90-degree turn at the upper landing

Olde Town, GA Installed February 2026

A 1912 Olde Town home with a 90-degree curve at the upper floor landing where the staircase wraps around a half-wall. Two companies told Mrs. Washington she'd need two lifts. We laser-scanned the full run, fabricated one continuous curved rail that bends smoothly around the balustrade, and parked the brown-upholstered seat right at the upper hallway. She steps off directly onto the second floor — one ride, no transfers.

National Hills ranch — compact rail beside the original sideboard

National Hills, GA Installed January 2026

A 1965 ranch split in National Hills with stone-tile entry treads and a narrow staircase next to the original wooden sideboard and potted plants. Mr. Collins had been sleeping on the couch because the split-level entry was too much after his knee replacement. We installed the compact-profile rail in the cozy, traditional space without moving a single piece of furniture. The seat fits snugly beside the sideboard at the bottom.

Harrisburg — HISA-funded outdoor lift on a veteran's stone-paved front porch

Harrisburg, GA Installed November 2025

A 1940s home in Harrisburg with a raised front porch and seven exterior stone-paved steps — the only path from the driveway to the front door. Mr. Williams is a retired Army sergeant who served at Fort Eisenhower and qualified for a HISA grant through the Charlie Norwood VA. The cream weather-resistant seat handles Augusta's summer humidity and thunderstorms. We prefilled every VA form and the grant covered most of the cost.

Evans two-story — carpeted stairs, swivel-exit seat for post-surgery recovery

Evans, GA Installed December 2025

A 2010 two-story in Evans with 14 carpeted treads and a landing at the top. Mrs. Patel had a hip replacement at Augusta University Health and her daughter needed the stairlift working before discharge. The brown-upholstered seat matches the warm carpet tones, and the swivel-exit at the top landing makes stepping off safe. We measured on Monday, installed on Wednesday — two and a half hours from first bracket to final test.

Platform Lift

West Augusta — indoor wheelchair platform for a multigenerational household

West Augusta, GA Installed October 2025

Sra. Vásquez moved in with her son's family after a fall and now uses a wheelchair full-time. The West Augusta home has six indoor steps between the main floor and the bedrooms. A seated stairlift wouldn't work — she needs to stay in her chair. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform with a flat black anti-slip surface, yellow high-visibility safety edges, and white handrails in the indoor stairway. Luis conducted the entire consultation in Spanish and left behind a Spanish-language operating manual.

Common Questions

Everything Augusta Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Augusta, GA right now?

Straight rails in standard Augusta homes — National Hills ranch splits, Harrisburg post-war homes, Evans two-stories — run $2,750 to $5,400 installed. Curved rails for Summerville Victorians and Olde Town homes with landing turns run $8,800 to $14,700 because the rail is custom-fabricated to your staircase geometry. Outdoor models for the raised wooden porches common across the Westside run $3,900 to $7,350. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes rail, seat, battery backup, installation, and first service visit.

Are Augusta stairlift prices lower than Atlanta?

Equipment prices are identical whether you live in Augusta, Evans, Martinez, or Atlanta — we don't adjust quotes by market. What can vary slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: settled Victorian treads in Summerville, narrow Olde Town cottage staircases, or humidity-rated outdoor coating. We itemize everything upfront. No surprise line items.

Does the UV and humidity coating cost extra in Augusta?

No. Every outdoor Augusta install ships with UV-resistant rail coating and humidity-sealed motor housing standard — the CSRA climate demands it. National chains price this as a $400 add-on. We include it because an outdoor rail in Augusta without UV and humidity protection starts degrading within a year.

Is a used or refurbished stairlift available in Augusta?

Used straight rails run $1,200 to $2,400 installed — roughly half the cost of new. We recondition every unit in-house: new batteries, new upholstery, factory-tested motor and safety sensors. Curved rails cannot be reused because each track is fabricated to one specific staircase. If your National Hills ranch or Harrisburg home has a standard straight run, a refurbished unit is a solid option with the same labor warranty.

A word from Luis

Most Augusta families call me after something has already gone wrong — a fall on the hardwood stairs in a Summerville Victorian, a retired soldier from Fort Eisenhower who can't reach the upstairs bedroom after surgery at AU Health, a daughter in Atlanta worried about her mother alone in a National Hills ranch she's owned since 1972.

I drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and hand you a written quote honored for 30 days. The CSRA has Summerville Victorians with hand-carved banisters, Olde Town cottages with 26-inch stair widths, Harrisburg ranch splits with standard geometry, and raised wooden porches across the Westside — I've measured every one of them. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
