Stairlift Service Across Jefferson County

Jefferson County, CO

Reno Park and Stocke-Walter historic bungalows need slim-profile rails and masonry anchors to preserve original character — no Landmark Preservation review for interior work. Oberon, Lamar Heights, and Club Crest split-levels from the 1960s–80s are Arvada’s most common curved-rail install: one continuous rail through the 90-degree landing turn instead of two lifts. Ralston Valley and Candelas two-stories have wide carpeted stairs that take a standard straight rail in under four hours. Raised front entries along Ralston Road and in Lamar Heights often need outdoor-rated lifts with UV-stabilized and wind-rated hardware for Front Range conditions.

Ralston Valley two-story — straight rail down original oak treads

Ralston Valley, CO Installed March 2026

A 2001 Ralston Valley home with a wide, straight staircase — hardwood oak treads, painted risers, and a warm indoor setting. Mr. Morrison had been avoiding the upstairs bedrooms for four months after rotator cuff surgery at Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge. We bolted the rail directly into the oak treads without touching the drywall or the newel post, and parked the beige seat at the bottom landing where it folds flat against the wall. He rode it upstairs to his bedroom the evening of install day.

Oberon split-level — curved rail with upper landing swivel exit

Oberon, CO Installed February 2026

A 1972 split-level in Oberon with a 90-degree turn at the upper landing. Mr. Kowalski has Parkinson’s and his neurologist at UCHealth Anschutz said stairs were no longer safe without assistance. Two companies quoted two separate lifts with a transfer at the turn. We scanned the full staircase, fabricated one continuous curved rail, and installed a brown-upholstered swivel-exit seat so he steps off directly onto the landing floor at the top. His wife said it was the first time in months he went downstairs to watch football in his own den.

Reno Park historic bungalow — straight rail over original stone-and-wood treads

Reno Park, CO Installed January 2026

A 1920s bungalow inside the Reno Park Addition Historic District with original stone foundation and narrow interior staircase. Mrs. Albrecht has lived here since 1968 and was clear: nothing that alters the historic character. We mounted a slim-profile rail using offset brackets that keep 25 inches of clear passage on the open side, and used masonry-rated anchors where the treads meet the stone foundation wall. The brown-upholstered seat sits beside a wooden sideboard at the base of the stairs. The Arvada Landmark Preservation Commission does not require review for interior modifications.

Outdoor

Lamar Heights ranch — outdoor lift over stone-paved front entry steps

Lamar Heights, CO Installed December 2025

A 1965 brick ranch in Lamar Heights with a raised front entry, five exterior steps over flagstone paving, and a north-facing exposure that collects ice from November through March. Mr. Sandoval is a retired Air Force master sergeant who served at Buckley Space Force Base and qualified for a HISA grant through the Rocky Mountain Regional VA. We anchored the cream-colored outdoor seat on stone paving with wind-rated bolts, sealed against snow and spring hail. It ran through the full 2025–2026 winter without a service call.

West Arvada two-story — straight rail over carpeted treads

Ralston Valley, CO Installed November 2025

A 2008 two-story in western Arvada with a wide, fully carpeted staircase. Mr. Petersen had bilateral knee replacements at SCL Health Good Samaritan and needed the lift working before his discharge. The mounting bolts pass through the carpet into the wooden substructure — no carpet removal, no seam damage. The brown-upholstered seat matches the carpet tones and parks at the landing. When the carpet gets replaced down the road, we re-mount at no charge.

Platform Lift

Club Crest split-level — indoor inclined platform lift with yellow safety edges

Club Crest, CO Installed October 2025

A 1978 split-level in Club Crest with a four-step rise between the entry level and the main living floor. Mr. Trujillo uses a power wheelchair and the family had been using a temporary wooden ramp that failed a home safety inspection. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift on the indoor stairway — a flat black anti-slip deck with yellow high-visibility safety edges on all sides, white handrail, and auto-locking gates at both levels. The platform folds against the wall when not in use so the stairs stay passable. The home safety inspector signed off the following week.

Common Questions

Everything Arvada Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Arvada right now?

Straight rails in standard Arvada two-stories — the Ralston Valley homes, the Candelas builds, the newer construction along Wadsworth — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for split-levels in Oberon, Lamar Heights, and Club Crest run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor lifts for raised front entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, altitude-rated lithium battery, and the first service visit.

Does the altitude-rated battery cost extra?

No. Standard lead-acid batteries lose 15–30% of their capacity at Arvada’s 5,400-foot elevation — that’s not acceptable for a safety device. We spec lithium cells as baseline on every Colorado install, included in the quoted price. You are not paying a surcharge for living on the Front Range.

Is there a charge for the in-home assessment?

Zero. The assessment takes about 45 minutes — a certified installer walks your stairs, measures with a laser, answers every question, and hands you a written quote before leaving. No deposit, no obligation, no pressure follow-up calls. If you decide to go forward, the quoted price is exactly what you pay.

Are prices different in Arvada than Denver or Wheat Ridge?

Equipment prices are identical across Jefferson, Denver, and Adams counties. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions — masonry anchors in the stone-and-wood treads of Reno Park bungalows, or wind-rated outdoor mounting for exposed porches along the Arvada ridge. We itemize every line on the quote. No hidden fees.

A word from Luis

Most Arvada families call after something specific — a parent who slipped on the split-level stairs in Lamar Heights, a retired Buckley airman in Ralston Valley whose knees can’t handle the basement run anymore, a widow in the Reno Park historic district who hasn’t been upstairs in her own home since October.

I drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a written price honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. If you qualify for a VA HISA grant or the Colorado EBD Waiver, I walk you through the paperwork at your kitchen table. En español si lo prefiere.

The split-levels in Oberon and Club Crest are the installs I know best — one curved rail instead of two straight lifts with a transfer. That’s the difference between an installer who has worked Jefferson County and one who looked it up on a map.
