Stairlift Service Across Lake County

Lake County, IL

Downtown Antioch's older homes along Main Street and Lake Street — many built in the 1940s through 1960s — often have narrower staircases with original hardwood treads that require precise mounting. The Chain O'Lakes waterfront along Channel Drive and Sequoit Creek features two-story lakefront homes with steep interior stairs and exterior dock-access stairs needing outdoor-rated equipment. The Clublands subdivision and Neumann developments west of Route 83 have wider, carpeted stairs and standard two-story floor plans. Rural Antioch Township properties include farmhouses with unconventional stair geometry. We also serve Lindenhurst, Lake Villa, Fox Lake, Round Lake Beach, and Trevor at the same rate.

Straight

Clublands — straight rail on dark oak treads, beige seat at bottom landing

Clublands, IL Installed March 2026

A 2005 two-story in the Clublands subdivision with dark-stained oak open treads and a warm-toned foyer. Mrs. Larson's son called on a Monday after his mother had been avoiding the stairs since a fall in October. We mounted the straight rail directly to the oak treads on the right side, specified a beige seat that blends with the warm wood tones, and positioned it at the bottom landing. The rail bolts into the tread faces without touching the wall or banister. Mrs. Larson rode upstairs that afternoon.

Curved

Downtown Antioch — curved rail bending 90° at the upper landing, brown upholstery

Downtown Antioch, IL Installed February 2026

An older downtown Antioch home near Main Street where the staircase turns 90 degrees at the upper landing before opening onto the bedroom hallway. We laser-scanned the full staircase and fabricated a single curved rail that bends around the half-wall balustrade at the top. The brown-upholstered seat parks flush at the upper floor landing — Mr. Novak steps off directly onto the hallway. The traditional interior with its chandelier and framed photos stays untouched. Cold-rated lubricant is standard for every Lake County install to handle subzero winters.

Antioch Township — straight rail in a compact farmhouse stairwell with stone-look treads

Antioch Township, IL Installed January 2026

An older farmhouse in Antioch Township with stone-look tile treads and a compact stairwell barely wider than code minimum. A wooden sideboard with a potted plant crowds the bottom landing. The Mueller family has owned the property for three generations. We specified the brown-upholstered seat to complement the traditional interior and mounted the rail tight against the wall so the sideboard stays in place. The cottage feel of the home is preserved with the lift folded flat.

Outdoor

Chain O'Lakes waterfront — outdoor lift on stone-paved front entry

Channel Drive, IL Installed December 2025

A lakefront home on Channel Drive with a raised front porch and six exterior steps over natural stone paving. Mr. Richardson is a veteran who qualified for the HISA grant through Captain James A. Lovell FHCC — $6,800 toward the total cost. We anchored the rail into the stone-paved entry, installed the cream weather-resistant seat with cold-rated lubricant for Lake County winters, and sealed every component against lake-effect moisture. Natural daylight floods the covered porch. The outdoor rail has a carpeted tread cover at the base for a clean transition indoors.

Clublands — straight rail on carpeted stairs with brown seat matching carpet tones

Clublands, IL Installed November 2025

A 2003 two-story in the Clublands subdivision with fully carpeted stairs and a landing area at the top. The brown-upholstered seat matches the carpet color so closely the lift nearly disappears into the stairwell. We bolted the rail through the carpet into the wooden substructure beneath, tested every safety sensor at the landing, and walked Mrs. Jensen through the wall-mounted controls. The tiled floor at the bottom landing provides a clean, stable surface for stepping on and off the seat.

Platform Lift

Antioch Township — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a veteran who cannot transfer to a seat

Antioch Township, IL Installed October 2025

A two-story farmhouse in Antioch Township where Mr. Kowalczyk, a wheelchair user after a spinal cord injury sustained during service, needed full-chair access to the second floor. A standard seated stairlift was not an option — he cannot transfer out of his wheelchair safely. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip surface and high-visibility yellow safety edges along the platform border. The white handrail provides support during the ride. The indoor stairway's warm-toned walls frame the lift, and the window at the landing lets in natural light. Mr. Kowalczyk rolls onto the platform, engages the rail, and rides directly to the upper floor without leaving his chair.

Common Questions

Everything Antioch Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Antioch right now?

Straight rails in standard Antioch subdivision homes — the two-stories in Clublands, the Neumann developments west of Route 83, and the newer builds near Sequoit Creek — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Most subdivision homes were built from similar floor plans, so our measurement and install process is faster and cost stays at the lower end of that range. Curved rails for lakefront homes with landing turns and older downtown floor plans run $9,000 to $15,000. Outdoor models for dock stairs and raised porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Is the in-home assessment really free?

Yes — completely free, no obligation. Luis drives to your Antioch home within 24 hours, measures your staircase with a laser, identifies whether you need a straight or curved rail, and leaves you with a written quote the same day. For curved-rail projects in lakefront homes or older downtown properties, the measurement data goes directly to fabrication — it's a real working visit, not a sales presentation. You review the quote on your own schedule.

Are prices different in Antioch than in Waukegan or Libertyville?

Equipment prices are identical across Lake County. What's actually cheaper in Antioch subdivision homes is install labor — the floor plan uniformity in Clublands and similar developments means we've installed in your layout before, so the process is faster. We don't inflate quotes for zip code or distance. No travel surcharge anywhere in Lake County. Line items are on the quote.

Do you offer financing for Antioch homeowners?

Yes — three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans from $79/month. Application is a soft credit pull (no hit to your score), takes about 4 minutes, and approval is usually instant. Many Lake County families combine financing with the VA HISA grant or the IRS medical deduction. We walk you through the math during the free assessment.

A word from Luis

Antioch sits at the top of Lake County where the Chain O'Lakes meet rural Antioch Township farmland. That mix means I see everything — lakefront vacation homes with steep exterior stairs to the dock, 1960s ranch-to-two-story conversions with narrow builder-grade staircases, and newer subdivision homes in Clublands and Neumann Homes developments where the stairs are wide and carpeted. Each one requires a different rail spec.

Winters matter here. When the temperature drops below zero and the stairs from the garage to the main floor get slippery, that's when most families call. I drive up from the Lake County corridor, measure your stairs, and leave a written quote the same day. No pressure, no upsells, and no waiting until spring.
