Stairlift Service Across Clackamas County

Clackamas County, OR

West Linn stairlift installs span the city's distinct neighborhoods. In the Willamette Historic District, 1920s bungalows have original hardwood treads — narrow, steep, and built for straight-rail installs. Barrington Heights and Hidden Springs, with 1990s-2000s construction, often feature curved staircases with mid-run landings. Hillside homes in Skyline Ridge and Rosemont Summit frequently have exterior entries for outdoor lifts. In Robinwood and Bolton, 1970s split-level ranches are the most common — compact stairs with tile or stone treads. We also serve Parker Crest, Savanna Oaks, and Pete's Mountain.

1921 Craftsman Bungalow, Original Oak Treads

Willamette Historic District, OR Installed March 2026

The Millers' 1921 Craftsman in the Willamette Historic District had original oak treads — stunning, but steep and narrow at 31 inches wide. Their straight rail went in during a single morning. The beige seat tucks neatly at the bottom landing without blocking the hallway. Three hours, bolts into the treads only — the original woodwork stayed untouched.

Curved Staircase with Window Landing

Barrington Heights, OR Installed February 2026

The Chens' home in Barrington Heights has a sweeping curved staircase with a window landing and a chandelier overhead. The custom-bent rail follows a 90-degree turn at the upper landing, tracing the half-wall perfectly. Luis laser-measured the curve in about an hour. The brown seat parks discreetly at the top floor, out of the main entry sightline.

1970s Split-Level, Stone-Tread Compact Stairs

Robinwood, OR Installed April 2026

The Garcias' 1970s split-level in Robinwood has stone-tread stairs with a tight turn at the bottom. Compact home, tight clearance — the straight rail fit by mounting closer to the wall than standard. The brown seat sits beside a wooden sideboard at the base. Two hours start to finish, and the stone treads held the bolt-through mounting without a crack.

Outdoor

Hillside Exterior Stair, Willamette Valley Weather

Skyline Ridge, OR Installed January 2026

The Nelsons' Skyline Ridge home has a steep exterior stair from the driveway to the front door — 14 stone-paved steps exposed to Willamette Valley rain. We installed a weather-sealed outdoor straight lift with an IP55-rated rail and corrosion-resistant hardware. The cream-colored seat has a waterproof cover, and the powder-coated rail stands up to Oregon's wet winters.

Carpeted Townhouse Stairs, Color-Matched Install

Hidden Springs, OR Installed May 2026

The Thompsons' Hidden Springs townhouse has a carpeted staircase in warm beige — a straight flight with a tiled entry at the base. The brown seat blends into the neutral palette so well that visitors rarely notice it until they're told. Install took two and a half hours. The rail bolted to the carpeted treads without tearing or bunching the pile.

Platform Lift

Indoor Wheelchair Platform, Full-Floor Access Restored

Savanna Oaks, OR Installed March 2026

The Rileys' Savanna Oaks home needed more than a seat — Mr. Riley uses a wheelchair full-time. We installed an indoor inclined platform lift with a flat black deck, yellow safety edges, and a fold-down white handrail. The platform carries up to 600 lb and parks upright when not in use. Straight rail, three-hour install. Now he accesses both floors independently.

Common Questions

Everything West Linn Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in West Linn?

A straight stairlift in West Linn starts at $2,800 installed. Curved models, which are custom-built to your staircase after a laser measurement, start at $9,000 and go up depending on the number of turns. Outdoor lifts start at $4,000. Heavy-duty models rated to 600 lb start at $5,050. All prices include the in-home assessment, installation, and a 5-year warranty with lifetime rail coverage. Financing is available from $79/month.

Why are curved stairlifts more expensive in the West Linn area?

Curved stairlifts cost more because each rail is custom-fabricated to match your exact staircase geometry — not a stock part. West Linn's hillside homes, especially in neighborhoods like Barrington Heights and Hidden Springs, often have staircases with mid-run landings, window turns, or 90-degree bends. Luis laser-measures every curve on site; the rail is then bent at the factory to match. That precision adds to cost but means the rail hugs the wall tightly and the seat parks out of the way at the landing.

Is there a price difference for outdoor stairlifts in West Linn?

Outdoor stairlifts start at $4,000, which is about $1,200 more than an indoor straight model. The price difference covers weather-sealing: IP55-rated motors, powder-coated rails, waterproof seat covers, and corrosion-resistant hardware. In West Linn, where exterior stairs on hillside properties in Skyline Ridge and Rosemont Summit face Willamette Valley rain for six months a year, that weatherproofing is not optional.

What financing options are available for a stairlift in West Linn?

We offer financing from $79/month through third-party lenders, with terms up to 60 months. Many West Linn homeowners combine financing with Oregon K Plan funding (up to $5,000 per modification for Medicaid-eligible residents) or the VA HISA grant (up to $6,800 for service-connected veterans). We walk you through all the paperwork during the home assessment.

A word from Luis

West Linn is hills. That's the first thing I tell people. A lot of the homes here — especially in Barrington Heights, Skyline Ridge, and Rosemont Summit — are built into slopes with two or three floors above the garage. The stairs get used constantly, and by the time homeowners hit their 70s, those stairs stop being a feature and start being the thing that keeps them from using the upstairs bedroom.

I've done installs in the Willamette Historic District where the staircases are a hundred years old — original fir treads, 32 inches wide. Straight rail bolts right in. Then you go to Hidden Springs or Savanna Oaks and it's a curved staircase with a window landing halfway up. Completely different job. That's what I like about working in West Linn — every neighborhood has its own housing era and its own stair geometry, and after 15 years I know what I'm walking into before I even pull up.

— Luis Ramírez, West Linn
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

West Linn's hills, its mix of century-old bungalows and newer construction, and its tight-knit neighborhoods make it one of the more rewarding places we install. Every home here has a personality — and usually, a staircase with a story. Whether you're in a 1920s Craftsman in the Willamette District or a 1990s contemporary in Barrington Heights, a stairlift means keeping full use of the home you've lived in for decades.

Call us at 503-804-5752 or fill out the form on this page. Luis will come out, measure your stairs, and give you a firm quote — usually within 24 hours of the home visit. No pressure, no sales pitch. Just a real assessment from someone who knows West Linn staircases better than anyone.
