Stairlift Service Across Los Angeles County

Los Angeles County, CA

We install across Temple City and the close-in San Gabriel Valley. In Mission View Acres, 1950s ranch homes take simple 12–14 ft straight rails. Live Oak Park two-story homes on Bogue and Daines often need a curved rail at the mid-landing turn. East San Gabriel 1960s homes run 30–32-inch stairwells, where a slim-rail carriage fits without crowding the stairs. The Huntington Drive corridor mixes split-levels and post-war ranch styles, and homes near the Rosemead border off Lower Azusa Road often want an outdoor porch lift. Newer builds around Baldwin Avenue and Temple City Boulevard have wider stairs that suit standard rails. We also serve East San Gabriel, San Gabriel, Arcadia, El Monte, Rosemead and San Marino.

Straight

Mission View Acres — straight rail on original oak treads

Mission View Acres, CA Installed March 2026

A 1953 ranch on Sultana Avenue with dark oak treads and a straight run up to the bedrooms. We bolted a 13 ft straight rail to the treads — no wall drilling — and the beige seat parks at the bottom landing. Mrs. Yamamoto had been avoiding upstairs for nearly a year after a hip fracture; she rode up the same afternoon.

Huntington Drive — curved rail around the upper landing

Huntington Drive corridor, CA Installed February 2026

A 1967 two-story home with a 90-degree turn at the upper landing, past a half-wall and chandelier. We custom-bent an 18 ft curved rail so the brown seat parks neatly at the top floor. Mr. Park has Parkinson's and the stair climb had become unsafe; he tested the full run three times that afternoon.

Live Oak Park, CA Installed January 2026

A 1949 cottage on Bogue Street with stone-tread stairs and a tight 30-inch stairwell. We fit an 11 ft straight rail with a slim-rail carriage that tucks beside the wooden sideboard at the base. Mrs. Nguyen had been sleeping on a pullout couch downstairs; now she uses the lift twice a day.

Temple City South — outdoor lift on stone porch steps

Temple City South, CA Installed April 2026

A 1961 single-story home near the Rosemead border with six stone porch steps up from the driveway. We set a 9 ft straight outdoor rail, IP55-sealed against San Gabriel Valley sun and winter rain, with a cream seat under a waterproof cover. Mr. Espinoza uses a walker; now he presses the remote from the driveway.

East San Gabriel — carpeted straight rail, color-matched seat

East San Gabriel, CA Installed May 2026

A 1964 home with a 12-step carpeted staircase in warm beige and tile at the base. We fit a 12 ft straight rail with a brown seat color-matched to the carpet so it blends right in. Mrs. Chen's arthritis had made the climb too painful; she tested the lift twice before we packed up and said it was smoother than she expected.

Platform Lift

Baldwin Avenue — indoor wheelchair platform lift

Baldwin Avenue, CA Installed March 2026

A 1983 two-story home with a 42-inch-wide staircase that needed a platform, not a seat. We installed a 15 ft inclined platform with a flat black deck and yellow safety edges for Mr. Harris, who uses a wheelchair full-time after a spinal injury. The HISA grant covered $6,800 through the Arcadia VA clinic; the platform folds up so the family still uses the stairs.

Common Questions

Everything Temple City Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding, no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Temple City?

Straight rails start at $2,800, curved from $9,000, outdoor from $4,000, and heavy-duty from $5,050. Every quote includes the on-site assessment, fabrication, installation, and a 5-year parts warranty plus lifetime rail warranty. There's no neighborhood price variation across Temple City.

Does the quoted price include installation?

Yes. The price covers assessment, hardware, rail, carriage, seat, electrical and labor — nothing extra at the end. Most straight installs in Temple City take about 3 hours; curved runs take 4 to 5 hours.

Are there hidden costs for older Temple City homes?

No. Temple City's slab and crawlspace ranch homes don't need subfloor reinforcement, and narrow 30–32-inch stairwells in East San Gabriel get a slim-rail carriage at no extra charge. The quoted price is final.

Is a curved rail much more than a straight one in Temple City?

Yes — curved rails start at $9,000 versus $2,800 for straight, because each one is custom-bent to your staircase. Two-story homes near Live Oak Park with a 90° landing turn need a curved rail; many split-levels can use two straight rails instead, which is cheaper.

A word from Luis

I've fitted stairlifts in Temple City for more than fifteen years. What I see most are the mid-century ranch houses with a half-flight down to the den, and two-story homes along Sultana and the Live Oak Park streets where the staircase makes a hard 90 at the landing. Those need a curved rail, custom-bent to the exact turn.

The split-levels over in Mission View Acres have their own geometry — three short flights with a turn at each platform. Plenty of East San Gabriel homes run 30 to 32 inches wide, so we drop in a slim-rail carriage that still folds flat for everyone else on the stairs. Every house is a little different, which is why I measure every rail on site before we order a thing.

Luis Ramírez, Temple City
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Temple City's mid-century ranch and split-level homes each have their own stair geometry, and a stairlift only works if the rail is measured to the actual turn. We come out, measure on site, and quote a fixed price with no surprises — most straight rails go in the same week.

Whether it's a tight 90 in Live Oak Park, a slim East San Gabriel stairwell, or an outdoor porch lift near the Rosemead border, Luis and the local crew handle it start to finish. Call (800) 965-0350 to book a free in-home assessment.
