Straight Stairlift

The workhorse of Stockton's two-story tract homes — from Lincoln Village to Quail Lakes.

Over 75% of the stairlifts we install in San Joaquin County are this model. A single straight run, the rail bolts to your stair treads (never into the wall), the seat and footrest fold up out of the way, and the heat-rated battery backup keeps you moving through the next power outage — even in a 130°F enclosed stairway. Most Stockton tract home installs wrap in under four hours.

Starting at $3,200 installed

What's Included

  • Battery backup for power outages
  • Swivel seat with safety lock
  • Two wireless remote controls
  • Soft start and soft stop motion
  • Fold-up seat, arms, and footrest
  • 10-year motor & gearbox warranty

Stairlift Service Across San Joaquin County

San Joaquin County, CA

Lincoln Village is our highest-volume neighborhood — 1980s-1990s two-story tract homes with standard 14-step straight runs that install in under four hours. Brookside and Country Club have similar stock with wider stairwells. Quail Lakes has newer homes from the 1990s-2000s with wide stairs and fast installs.

Weston Ranch mixes two-story homes with ranch split-levels needing short rails at the entry. Victory Park and Downtown have the oldest stock — some from the early 1900s — with narrower stairwells and steeper pitches. Akers east of Pacific Avenue has 1950s-1960s split-levels we install on weekly. The University of the Pacific adjacent area ranges from 1940s bungalows to 1970s duplexes.

Lincoln Village two-story — standard install with heat-rated battery

Lincoln Village, CA Installed March 2026

A 1989 two-story tract home in Lincoln Village with 14 carpeted treads and an enclosed stairway that hits 115°F by July. Mrs. Patel's son called from San Jose on a Monday, we measured on Tuesday, and installed on Thursday. The heat-rated battery and high-temperature lubricant are standard for every Central Valley install. Mrs. Patel rides the lift four times a day and hasn't missed the upstairs bedroom since.

Downtown Stockton Victorian — curved rail through a narrow 90° landing

Downtown, CA Installed February 2026

An early-1900s Victorian near Downtown Stockton with a narrow 90° landing, original fir treads, and a stairwell only 30 inches wide at the turn. Three other companies said a stairlift wouldn't fit. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a curved rail with a compact carriage that clears the turn by 1.5 inches, and installed in a single afternoon. Luis walked the family through every button in Spanish. The grandmother has used the lift daily since February and the original fir treads are untouched.

Akers ranch split-level — short entry run with swivel-exit

Akers, CA Installed January 2026

A 1962 ranch split-level in Akers with five steps from the front entry to the main living level. Mrs. Nguyen had been entering through the garage and walking through the laundry room for two years to avoid those five steps. We installed a short straight rail with a swivel-exit seat so she steps onto the main floor instead of the top tread. Two and a half hours. She walked through her own front door that afternoon for the first time in two years.

Outdoor

Victory Park raised entry — outdoor rail through Central Valley heat

Victory Park, CA Installed December 2025

A 1940s home in Victory Park with a raised front entry and six exterior concrete steps. Mr. Thompson is a retired farm equipment mechanic with a service-connected knee injury — his HISA grant through the Stockton VA Outpatient Clinic covered the full $6,800. We installed a weather-sealed outdoor rail with UV-coated components, heat-rated battery, and stainless fasteners. The lift has run through one full Central Valley summer — sustained triple-digit heat, dust storms, and the autumn tule fog — without a single service call.

Weston Ranch two-story — bilingual install, Medi-Cal funded

Weston Ranch, CA Installed November 2025

A 2003 two-story home in Weston Ranch where the entire consultation happened in Spanish. Sra. Flores qualified for the Medi-Cal HCBA waiver, and we coordinated with the San Joaquin County waiver agency for the Environmental Accessibility Adaptation paperwork. Luis walked her through every button twice, tested the heat-rated battery, and left a Spanish-language operating manual. The waiver covered the full cost. The family never wrote a check.

Platform Lift

Brookside — indoor wheelchair platform lift at sunken living room transition, Medi-Cal funded

Brookside, CA Installed October 2025

A 1975 ranch in Brookside with a sunken living room — four steps down from the main hallway that Mr. Santos, 76, could no longer navigate in his power wheelchair after a stroke. A portable ramp was too steep for safe descent and the turn radius at the bottom was too tight for his chair. We installed a vertical wheelchair platform lift at the transition between the hallway and the living room. Automatic fold-down ramp at each level, keyed call stations top and bottom, heat-rated motor housing for the Central Valley climate. The platform handles his power chair plus 300 lbs. The Medi-Cal HCBA waiver through the San Joaquin County waiver agency covered the full install. Mr. Santos now moves freely between the living room, kitchen, and back patio without a single transfer.

Common Questions

Everything Stockton Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Stockton right now?

Straight rails in standard Stockton homes — the Lincoln Village two-stories, the Quail Lakes tract homes, the Brookside colonials — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you'll need for split-level landings and the older Downtown homes with landing turns, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised entries and porch steps run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, heat-rated battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Stockton than the Bay Area?

Equipment prices are the same across California. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: heat-rated components for Central Valley summers, curved-rail fabrication for older Downtown stairwells, and new dedicated circuits in 1950s-era ranch panels. We tell you the line items upfront. No Bay Area pricing applied to a Central Valley address.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Stockton assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and has walked hundreds of San Joaquin County families through every line of the paperwork in their preferred language. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is also available in Spanish. Zero surcharge. In a city where over 40% of households speak Spanish at home, this should be standard — not a special request.

Does the Central Valley heat affect the equipment?

Yes, and that's why we spec for it. Attic-adjacent stair cavities in Stockton two-story homes can exceed 130°F in July and August. Standard stairlift lubricants thin at those temperatures and off-the-shelf lithium batteries degrade rapidly above 110°F. Every Stockton install ships with a heat-rated battery, high-temperature lubricant, and a sealed IP54 motor housing as standard. Not an add-on. These aren't optional in the Central Valley.

A word from Luis

Most Stockton families call me after the Central Valley heat changed the equation — a parent in Lincoln Village who stopped going upstairs because the second floor hits 95°F by noon and the stairs are the last thing they want to climb, a grandmother in Weston Ranch whose daughter is driving over from Lodi every morning to help her downstairs, a retired farm worker in Akers whose knees gave out after 40 years on his feet.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
