Straight Stairlift — San Jacinto, CA

Straight Stairlift

The standard solution for San Jacinto’s two-story homes — from State Street tracts to the Ramona Bowl corridor.

The most common model we install in San Jacinto. A single straight run, the rail bolts to your stair treads (never into the wall), the seat and footrest fold up out of the way, and the battery backup keeps you moving through the next power outage. The sealed motor housing handles the valley’s high-desert dust and 100°F summers. Most installs wrap in under four hours. Most often falls within VA HISA grant ceiling for veterans.

Starting at $3,150 installed

What's Included

  • Battery backup for power outages
  • Swivel seat with safety lock
  • Two wireless remote controls
  • Soft start and soft stop motion
  • Fold-up seat, arms, and footrest
  • 10-year motor & gearbox warranty

Compared to Alternatives

vs Curved: 3x less expensive and installed in one visit. vs Home elevator: 10-15x less cost and no construction. vs Moving bedroom downstairs: Keeps your home exactly as it is.

Downtown San Jacinto 1950s ranch — straight rail on original oak hardwood treads

Downtown San Jacinto, CA Installed March 2026

A 1952 ranch-style home two blocks from the Ramona Bowl with an original oak banister the Contreras family had refinished twice and refused to alter. We matched the rail finish to the stained oak, bolted the track into the hardwood tread boards rather than the wall, and cleared the original spindles by just under an inch. The lift is invisible when parked at the upper landing. Mrs. Contreras’s physical therapist, who visits weekly, said she didn’t notice it for three visits.

Soboba Springs split-level — custom curved rail around a 90-degree upper landing

Soboba Springs, CA Installed January 2026

A mid-1980s split-level in the Soboba Springs corridor with a 90-degree turn at the mid-landing and a decorative newel post the family wanted preserved. We laser-scanned the geometry on the first visit, fabricated a curved rail that threads past the newel post without modification, and installed in a single afternoon. The swivel seat at the upper station rotates Mr. Rivera’s father toward the hallway before release — eliminating the pivot that had caused two near-falls in the prior year.

Downtown San Jacinto cottage — compact rail with sealed housing for high-desert dust

Downtown San Jacinto, CA Installed November 2025

A compact downtown San Jacinto home where Mr. Aguilar, a retired Army mechanic, asked specifically about the motor housing spec before he agreed to an assessment. He had replaced a washing machine motor twice from dust ingestion and wanted to know this was different. We walked him through the IP54 sealing spec, showed him the cable penetration sealing we do on-site, and used the high-temp grease rated for valley summers. He nodded and said, ‘That’s how I’d have done it.’ The traditional narrow stairway measured just 33 inches across — our slim-profile rail leaves 20 inches of clearance with the seat folded.

Outdoor

Soboba Springs raised entry — outdoor rail for front-porch step access

Soboba Springs, CA Installed October 2025

A Soboba Springs ranch home with five exterior entry steps and a family member using a rollator walker after hip replacement surgery. The family had looked at a concrete ramp but could not afford the disruption to the front walkway. We installed an outdoor-rated straight rail with UV-coated aluminum housing sealed for desert heat and winter frost. The folding footrest keeps the tread clear when not in use; the keyed call station at the base means the lift is always at grade when needed. Running clean through its first full heat season.

Seven Hills carpeted stairs — swivel-exit seat for safer top-landing exit

Seven Hills, CA Installed December 2025

A Seven Hills home with 12 carpeted treads and a top landing that opens directly into a narrow hallway. Mrs. Whitmore’s daughter had coordinated the whole process by video call from San Diego — she joined the assessment on FaceTime, watched the measurements, and approved the quote in real time. We anchored through the thick carpet and pad into the tread boards below for a solid mount. We specified the swivel-exit seat so her mother steps off facing the hallway rather than the top step. Install was three hours; the daughter was on the call for the walkthrough at the end.

Platform Lift

Soboba Springs raised entry — wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Soboba Springs, CA Installed September 2025

A Soboba Springs ranch home with a raised front entry and a family member who uses a power wheelchair full-time after a spinal cord injury. The family needed weather-sealed exterior access to the main floor. We installed a vertical wheelchair platform lift with yellow high-visibility safety edges at both the upper and lower landings, a fold-up deck when not in use, and a keyed call station at the base. The UV-coated housing is rated for the valley’s 100°F+ summers and the occasional overnight frost. Running clean through a full season with zero service calls.

Common Questions

Everything San Jacinto Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in San Jacinto, CA?

Straight rails in a typical San Jacinto home run $2,800 to $5,500 installed — that includes the rail, seat, battery backup, and installation labor. Curved rails for split-level layouts or homes with mid-landing turns run $9,000 to $15,000, because the rail is custom-manufactured to your staircase geometry. Every quote is written and itemized before any work begins, and it’s honored for 30 days. Veterans often offset a significant portion through the VA HISA grant — we walk you through eligibility at the free assessment.

Does the desert heat affect long-term cost in San Jacinto?

The Inland Empire climate does affect maintenance intervals. Standard rail lubricants thin at sustained temperatures above 95°F — which San Jacinto sees regularly in summer. We specify high-temperature rail grease on every local install at no added cost. Annual service visits run $150 to $200 and catch any grit accumulation in the drive mechanism before it causes wear. The sealed motor housing we use as standard on all San Jacinto installs is the single biggest factor in long-term reliability here.

Is financing available, and how does it work with VA or Medicaid funding?

Financing starts at $79 per month through our lending partners and uses a soft credit pull that will not affect your score. Many San Jacinto families combine financing with the VA HISA grant or the California Medi-Cal HCBA Waiver to bring the out-of-pocket cost close to zero. We run through the numbers at the free assessment — if you’re a veteran or Medi-Cal-enrolled, that conversation happens before we even talk about financing.

Are there extra charges for older San Jacinto homes with tight or unusual stairs?

Unusual configurations add to the quote, not to a surprise invoice. Older homes near downtown and around the Ramona Bowl sometimes have narrower-than-standard treads or non-standard riser heights. When that’s the case, we identify it at the assessment, specify the right rail bracket or seat model, and include it in the written quote. What is never added after the fact: travel fees, permit fees, or disposal charges for existing flooring.

A word from Luis

San Jacinto has one of the highest disability rates in Riverside County — nearly 15% of residents, which is substantially above the national average. A lot of that tracks with the veteran population (over 8%), with post-surgical recovery cases, and with residents who moved here specifically because of the lower cost of living and single-story housing options — and then found themselves in a two-story when their mobility changed.

The VA HISA grant is the funding tool I walk more San Jacinto families through than anything else. Most veterans here don’t know it exists until we bring it up. By the time we’re done with the paperwork, the grant often covers most or all of the straight-rail cost.
