Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Aransas County

Aransas County, TX

We cover all of Aransas County. Key Allegro and Harbor Oaks are 1960s-onward canal communities with split-level entries and short stair runs that suit compact straight rails. Fulton Beach Road runs along Aransas Bay with pier-and-beam coastal cottages that often need exterior lifts. Rockport Country Club and Bahia Bay are newer subdivisions with standard carpeted or engineered-wood flights — basic straight installs, about three hours. Holiday Beach on Copano Bay has stilt homes with long exterior staircases that call for IP55-rated outdoor units. In the Heritage District downtown, 1900s cottages have some of the narrowest treads in the county.

Common Questions

Everything Rockport Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding, no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Rockport?

A straight stairlift in Rockport starts at $2,800 installed. Curved lifts, custom-built to your staircase geometry, start at $9,000. Outdoor lifts for deck stairs or elevated entries start at $4,000, and heavy-duty units start at $5,050.

Are there hidden costs with a Rockport stairlift installation?

No. The quote Luis gives you at the free assessment is the price you pay. It covers the rail, carriage, seat, labor, cleanup, and the walk-through demo — no travel fee from Corpus Christi.

How much is a curved stairlift versus a straight one in Rockport?

A straight lift starts at $2,800; a curved lift starts at $9,000. The difference is the custom rail — each curved rail is bent by the manufacturer to match the exact turn of your staircase after a one-hour laser measurement in your home.

Does insurance cover stairlift costs in Rockport?

Medicare does not cover stairlifts. Texas Medicaid through the STAR+PLUS HCBS waiver can cover minor home modifications — including stairlifts — up to a $7,500 lifetime limit when a physician certifies medical necessity.

A word from Luis

Rockport's housing stock is unlike anywhere else I work on the Texas coast. On Church Street and through the Heritage District you've got early-1900s cottages with original longleaf-pine staircases — narrow treads, steep rises, no two alike. A mile away on Key Allegro it's 1970s canal-front homes where the stairs were bolted on the side of the house up to the main floor.

Post-Harvey, a lot of Country Club and Bahia Bay builds went up elevated, so I see plenty of straight flights on engineered-wood treads that take about three hours. The Fulton Beach Road and Holiday Beach places are the ones that need the IP55 outdoor units — salt spray off Aransas and Copano Bay eats standard hardware fast.

If you're in Rockport or Fulton and the stairs are the reason you're thinking about moving, call me first. A free in-home assessment costs you nothing, and a 3-hour install is a lot cheaper than a real estate commission.

Luis Ramírez, Rockport
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Rockport rebuilt itself after Harvey, and the housing stock is stronger for it — but the stairs didn't get any easier. With a median age over 51 and roughly a third of residents past 65, this is a town where stairlifts are a daily topic. Whether you're in a Key Allegro canal home with a straight flight to the upper deck or an elevated Holiday Beach house where the outdoor stairs catch salt spray year-round, there's a lift that fits.

Every quote is flat local pricing with a free in-home assessment — no travel fees from Corpus Christi. Veterans can ask us about the VA HISA grant; the Corpus Christi West Point VA Clinic and the Rockport Mobile Medical Unit at the American Legion handle the paperwork.
