Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Maricopa County

Maricopa County, AZ

Our install crews work throughout Rio Verde's three main communities. Tonto Verde, the gated 717-home development on the northeast side, has the widest staircases — most homes here were built from 1993 onward with 40-inch-plus tread widths. Trilogy at Verde River, Shea Homes' resort community on the northwest edge, mixes single-story and two-story floor plans, with curved-rail installs common on the Evia and Juniper models that have an upper-level guest suite. The original Rio Verde Country Club section, founded in 1972, has 980 residences — townhomes, villas, and custom builds — where stair widths run 34 to 38 inches and straight-rail units account for about 80% of our work.

Hardwood Stairlift in Tonto Verde Villa

Tonto Verde, AZ Installed March 2026

The Morrisons' 1995 Tonto Verde villa has dark oak hardwood stairs leading up to a guest loft — 14 treads, 36-inch width, straight run. The wife had a hip replacement in January and needed the upstairs bathroom accessible during recovery. Luis mounted the beige seat unit at the bottom landing, bolting the rail into the oak treads.

Curved Rail at Upper Landing in Trilogy Model

Trilogy at Verde River, AZ Installed January 2026

The Ellisons' Juniper floor plan in Trilogy has a curved staircase with a 90-degree turn at a mid-landing, the stairs opening onto an upper hallway with a chandelier overhead. The brown seat parks at the top, out of the way. Luis did a one-hour laser measurement capturing the exact turn geometry, and the factory-bent rail arrived two weeks later.

Stone-Tread Stairlift in Country Club Villa

Rio Verde Country Club, AZ Installed February 2026

A compact 1982-built villa with stone tile treads — 12 steps, straight run, a wooden sideboard at the base. The stone required a diamond-bit drill with water cooling to mount the rail brackets without cracking the tile. The brown seat parks at the bottom near the sideboard, leaving the upstairs hallway fully open. The homeowner uses it daily to access the main living area from the upper bedroom level.

Outdoor Porch Lift on Quail Track Road

Quail Track, AZ Installed April 2026

A custom home off Quail Track Road with rough stone paving steps leading from the back patio down to a desert-landscaped yard. Eight exterior steps, exposed to full afternoon sun and monsoon-season dust. Luis installed a cream outdoor unit with IP55 weather sealing, UV-resistant rail coating, and a key-lock parking position at the top. The rail mounts into the stone with stainless steel brackets.

Carpeted-Stair Install on Paseo Verde Drive

Paseo Verde Drive, AZ Installed May 2026

A single-family home along Paseo Verde Drive with carpeted stairs — 13 treads, beige cut-pile carpet that closely matched the brown seat upholstery. The homeowners had recently recarpeted and worried about damage, but the rail brackets bolt through the carpet directly into the wood sub-tread, leaving the carpet fibers undisturbed around each mounting point. The seat parks at the base landing on a tiled foyer floor.

Platform Lift

Wheelchair Platform Lift in Desert Foothills Home

Desert Foothills, AZ Installed December 2025

A home on the eastern edge of Rio Verde, near the Tonto National Forest boundary, where a family needed stair access for their son who uses a manual wheelchair. Luis spec'd the indoor inclined platform lift — flat black deck, yellow safety edges, white handrail — mounted to a straight 16-foot oak staircase. The platform folds up at the top landing when not in use so other family members can use the stairs normally.

Common Questions

Everything Rio Verde Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Rio Verde?

A straight stairlift for a standard Rio Verde staircase starts at $2,800 installed. Curved units, which we build custom for the two-story homes in Tonto Verde and Trilogy at Verde River, start at $9,000. Outdoor stairlifts for patio and pool-deck access start at $4,000. Every quote includes the rail, seat, battery backup, installation, and a 5-year warranty. Luis gives you a written price at the in-home assessment — no surprises, no last-minute add-ons.

Do you charge a trip fee to come out to Rio Verde?

No. We do not charge a trip fee for the in-home assessment anywhere in Rio Verde or along the Highway 87 corridor. Rio Verde is about a 35-minute drive from our shop on the northeast side of the Valley, and we absorb that cost. The assessment takes about 45 minutes — Luis measures your stairs, checks the electrical access point, and leaves you a firm written quote before he walks out the door.

Is financing available for a stairlift in Rio Verde?

Yes. We offer financing starting at $79 a month through a third-party lender. The application takes about five minutes online, and most applicants get a decision the same day. There is no prepayment penalty, and you can pay the balance off at any point without extra fees. About half our Rio Verde customers use financing.

Are there any Rio Verde-specific discounts or HOA programs?

Rio Verde does not have a municipal senior-assistance program since it is an unincorporated CDP, but Maricopa County residents may qualify through Ability360's Home Modification program, which covers structural accessibility upgrades for low-to-moderate-income homeowners. Participants pay 10% of the modification cost. We can walk you through the eligibility check during the assessment.

A word from Luis

Rio Verde is mostly single-story Santa Fe-style homes, but a lot of the custom builds here have second-floor guest suites or loft spaces overlooking the great room. I see those in Tonto Verde and Trilogy all the time — beautiful wide staircases with tile risers that look great but become a problem after a hip replacement. The curved-rail installs up here are almost always on those custom two-story models with a 90-degree turn at the landing. In the original Rio Verde Country Club section, built in the 70s and 80s, the staircases are narrower — more like 34 to 36 inches — and that's where the straight-rail units go in fast, usually under three hours.

What catches people off guard here is the outdoor stairlift need. A lot of homes have a sunken patio or a short exterior staircase down from the main living level to the desert-landscaped yard. With our summer heat hitting 105°, those stone steps get brutal if you're unsteady. We put weather-sealed outdoor units on those — the dust and UV are actually harder on the equipment than rain ever is. Every install I do here, I tell folks the same thing: you bought this house for the Four Peaks view and the golf, and a stairlift keeps you here instead of downsizing to a condo in Scottsdale.

— Luis Ramírez, Rio Verde
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Rio Verde sits at the edge of the Tonto National Forest, 28 miles northeast of Scottsdale — far enough from the Valley to feel like a retreat, close enough that our install van gets here in 35 minutes from the shop. Whether you're in a 1972-built villa in the Country Club section or a newer Trilogy model with mountain views, the same crew handles the whole area. Most Rio Verde installs wrap in one morning, and the rail bolts to the treads — no drywall repair, no repainting, no HOA headaches.

Give us a call or fill out the form. Luis comes out, measures your stairs, answers every question, and leaves you a written quote the same day. No pressure, no trip charge to Rio Verde, and we can usually schedule the install within the same week.
