Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Baltimore County

Baltimore County, MD

We install across Reisterstown's full range of housing. In Historic Glyndon, 1880s–1890s Victorians have staircases as narrow as 32 inches and original oak treads that call for slim-rail units. Sagamore Forest and Chartley colonials and split-levels from the 1970s–80s often have a turn at the upper landing that needs a curved rail. Worthington Meadows townhomes have tight, steep flights with limited clearance, while Town Center and Woodensburg ranchers and split-levels usually take a standard straight rail. We also serve Owings Mills, Garrison, Pikesville, Milford Mill, Eldersburg and Cockeysville.

Historic Glyndon — straight rail on original oak treads

Historic Glyndon, MD Installed March 2026

Sagamore Forest — curved rail around the upper landing

Sagamore Forest, MD Installed February 2026

This two-story Sagamore Forest colonial has a 90-degree turn at the upper landing, opening onto a hallway. We custom-bent a curved rail to the exact turn radius so the brown seat parks neatly at the top floor and clears the half-wall on the way around.

Worthington Meadows — compact rail by the sideboard

Worthington Meadows, MD Installed January 2026

This Worthington Meadows townhome has a tight, steep flight with stone-tile treads and limited clearance past a wooden sideboard at the bottom. A compact straight rail fit the run, and the seat folds up flush so the rest of the household can still pass freely.

Chartley — outdoor porch lift on stone paving

Chartley, MD Installed April 2026

Four risers of rough stone paving lead up to this Chartley front porch. We mounted a cream-colored outdoor lift with IP55 sealing and powder-coated, freeze-thaw-rated hardware so it shrugs off road salt, ice and the 20 inches of snow Reisterstown gets each winter.

Woodensburg — carpeted split-level straight rail

Woodensburg, MD Installed December 2025

This Woodensburg split-level has carpeted stairs, so we fitted a brown seat whose upholstery matches the carpet tones and notched the brackets through the pile. The DC motor with battery backup was tested mid-snowstorm and carried full power the whole flight.

Nob Hill — indoor wheelchair platform lift

Nob Hill, MD Installed March 2026

A wheelchair user in this Nob Hill home needed an inclined platform — not a seat lift — to reach the second floor. We installed an indoor platform with a flat black deck, yellow safety edges and a white handrail along the wall, rated to 600 lb for the chair and rider together.

Common Questions

Everything Reisterstown Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Reisterstown?

A straight stairlift in Reisterstown starts at $2,800 installed, including the rail (up to 16 feet), seat, remotes and battery backup. Curved rails start at $9,000 because each one is custom-bent to your exact stair turn. We give a firm, flat local price after measuring — no travel fees.

Why do curved stairlifts cost more in Reisterstown?

A curved rail is laser-measured on site (about an hour) and then custom-fabricated over 2–3 weeks to match your turn. Older Reisterstown homes in Glyndon and Chartley often have non-standard rise-and-run and tight landings, so the rail has to be bent specifically for that staircase — that's the cost difference.

Are there financing options for Reisterstown homeowners?

Yes. Monthly plans start at $79/month through third-party lenders, with 12-month same-as-cash and longer terms available, and no prepayment penalty. Many Reisterstown families pair financing with the VA HISA grant or a Maryland Accessible Homes grant to lower the out-of-pocket cost.

Does an outdoor stairlift cost more in Reisterstown's weather?

Yes, outdoor units start at $4,000. They use IP55 weather sealing and powder-coated, freeze-thaw-rated components to handle road salt, ice and the roughly 20 inches of snow Reisterstown gets each winter on porch and deck steps.

A word from Luis

I've been fitting stairlifts in Reisterstown since before the Historic District lines were drawn. The 1880s and 1890s Victorians up in Glyndon have some of the tightest staircases I see anywhere in Baltimore County — 32 to 34 inches wide, oak treads worn smooth — and a slim-rail unit bolted to the treads still fits without touching the original woodwork.

Out in Sagamore Forest and Chartley it's a different job: 1970s and '80s colonials and split-levels, wider stairs, sometimes a turn at the top landing that needs a custom-bent curved rail. I measure every tread myself, bolt to the stair — never the wall or banister — and battery backup keeps the lift running when a winter storm knocks the power out.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

You don't have to move out of the home you love. A stairlift mounts to your existing stairs, bolts to the treads — never the wall — and runs on battery backup straight through Maryland's winter storms. Whether you're in a Worthington Meadows townhome or a Chartley split-level, the upstairs stays usable.

Call Luis at (800) 965-0350 or fill out the form. We'll have someone out within the week to measure your stairs and give you a firm, flat local price — no travel fees, no pressure.
