Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Warren County

Warren County, NY

We install across all of Queensbury. The lakefront cottages in Cleverdale, Assembly Point, and Kattskill Bay often have 1920s–1940s stairs with tight turns and narrow hardwood treads, which usually means a custom-bent curved rail. South and west, the colonials and ranches off Aviation Road (including the Glen Acres subdivision) and around Bay Road tend to have standard straight flights that take a tread-mounted rail. In West Glens Falls, compact ranches with stone-tile treads are common, and homes near Glen Lake and Dunham's Bay frequently need an outdoor lift sealed for the snow. We also serve Glens Falls, Lake George, and South Glens Falls.

Cleverdale — straight rail on a 1948 cottage's oak treads

Cleverdale, NY Installed January 2026

This 1948 lake cottage in Cleverdale had dark oak treads and original plaster walls we needed to protect. We bolted a straight rail to the treads with the beige seat at the bottom landing, leaving the plaster untouched. The 12-foot install finished in three hours.

Common Questions

Everything Queensbury Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Queensbury?

Straight-rail lifts start at $2,800 installed. Curved lifts begin at $9,000 with a custom-bent rail. Outdoor lifts run from $4,000 and heavy-duty from $5,050. The quote covers assessment, measurement, fabrication, installation, and a 5-year warranty with lifetime rail coverage. Financing is available from about $79 per month.

Why do curved stairlifts cost more in Queensbury?

Curved lifts need a custom-fabricated rail. Luis performs a one-hour laser measurement that captures every turn and angle in the staircase — common in the older Cleverdale and Kattskill Bay cottages. Fabrication then takes 10 to 14 business days off-site, with the rail assembled and tested before it ships.

Are there hidden costs or ongoing fees?

No. The quote covers everything listed, including battery backup at no extra charge. After installation, the only potential charge is a service call years down the road. There are no monthly equipment fees and no surprise add-ons on install day.

What financing options exist for Queensbury homeowners?

Financing is available from about $79 per month through third-party providers with no prepayment penalty. Many Queensbury families also stack funding sources — the VA HISA grant covers up to $6,800 for service-connected veterans, and New York's NHTD Waiver can cover eligible Medicaid residents up to 100%.

A word from Luis

I've been installing stairlifts around Queensbury and the Lake George basin for 15-plus years, and there are really two housing stocks here. The older lake cottages out toward Cleverdale and Assembly Point have irregular turns and narrow hardwood treads, while the 1960s-onward neighborhoods off Aviation Road and Bay Road have standard straight flights that take a rail cleanly.

Weather drives a lot of my decisions. We get about 61 inches of snow a year, so any outdoor work gets stainless hardware and an IP55-sealed motor to handle freeze-thaw. And because winter outages are a fact of life up here, I put battery backup on every install — indoor or out — so the lift keeps running when the power doesn't.

— Luis Ramírez, Queensbury
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Queensbury's split between century-old lake cottages and post-1960s residential streets means every staircase is its own job — a tight curved rail in a Cleverdale cottage is nothing like a straight flight off Aviation Road. We measure in person, spec stainless hardware and battery backup for the Adirondack winters, and hold the written quote for 30 days.

Call (800) 965-0350 for a free in-home assessment. We'll measure your stairs, walk you through the VA HISA grant and New York's NHTD Waiver if they apply, and give you a firm price with no pressure.
