Straight

Leisureville villa — straight rail on original oak treads, HOA-approved in 48 hours

Leisureville, FL Installed March 2026

A 1968 villa in Leisureville — the 55+ golf community off NW 10th Avenue where the HOA reviews every modification. Mrs. Feldstein's daughter in Connecticut called us after her mother fell on the second step from the landing. The original oak treads were still solid after 58 years but the riser height was uneven from foundation settling. We filed the fair-housing accommodation request with the Leisureville board the same afternoon as the assessment, received approval within 48 hours, shimmed the rail brackets to compensate for the 3/16-inch settlement on treads four and five, and installed a slim-profile straight rail that parks flush against the wall at the bottom. The oak treads are untouched — every bracket drills into the tread surface only, never the risers or the original banister.

Palm Aire condo — curved rail with 90° turn past terrazzo treads

Palm Aire, FL Installed February 2026

A 1972 Palm Aire Country Club condo with a split-level entry — six terrazzo steps from the foyer to the main living area and a 90-degree turn at the upper landing into the hallway. The building engineer required a rail mounting plan before approving the work order, so we submitted a laser-scanned blueprint showing every bracket location and load calculation within 24 hours of the first visit. The curved rail was fabricated in 12 days and threads past the original wrought-iron railing without making contact at any point. Mr. Schultz had both knees replaced at Broward Health North six weeks prior and the occupational therapist at discharge specifically asked whether they had a stairlift ready.

Collier Manor cottage — straight rail on coral-stone tile, Creole-language install

Collier Manor, FL Installed January 2026

A 1965 Florida cottage in Collier Manor with decorative coral-stone tile on the interior entry stairs — the kind of surface that looks beautiful but cracks if you drill in the wrong spot. The Desrosiers family speaks Haitian Creole at home and wanted every step of the process explained in their language. We brought a Creole-speaking coordinator to the assessment, drilled pilot holes with a diamond-tipped masonry bit at each bracket location to avoid fracturing the coral tile, and mounted a straight rail from the entry level to the main floor. The stone is intact. Every bracket sits on a neoprene gasket to prevent vibration cracking over time.

Cresthaven raised porch — weather-sealed outdoor lift on coral-stone paving

Cresthaven, FL Installed December 2025

A 1960s raised-entry home in Cresthaven with eight exterior coral-stone paving steps leading up to the front porch. Mr. Alvarez is a Korean War-era veteran who qualified for a HISA grant through the VA Outpatient Clinic in Sunrise — we prefilled VA Form 10-0103, the prescription came from his VA provider within four weeks, and installation was authorized ten days later. The outdoor rail is sealed against Broward County humidity, UV-coated for the South Florida sun, and every fastener is marine-grade stainless rated for salt exposure — the Atlantic is less than three miles east. The coral-stone pavers required masonry anchors at each bracket point.

Pompano Beach Estates — straight rail on carpeted stairs, carpet untouched

Pompano Beach Estates, FL Installed November 2025

A 1975 two-story home in Pompano Beach Estates with thick wall-to-wall carpet on every stair tread. Mrs. Greenbaum's podiatrist told her the carpet was a fall risk and she should either pull it up or stop using the stairs. She chose a third option. We drilled through the carpet into the plywood sub-tread at each bracket location, seated the bolts through compression washers so the carpet doesn't bunch or wear around the mounting points, and installed a standard straight rail with a folding footrest. The carpet is intact, the vacuum still fits under the folded seat, and Mrs. Greenbaum still sleeps in her own bedroom upstairs.

Platform Lift

NE 16th Street ranch — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

NE 16th Street corridor, FL Installed October 2025

A 1972 concrete-block ranch along the NE 16th Street corridor where Mr. Baptiste uses a power wheelchair full-time after a spinal cord injury. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed to ride his chair from the garage-level entry up four steps to the main living floor. We installed an indoor vertical platform lift with high-visibility yellow safety edges on the platform perimeter, a non-slip diamond-plate surface, and automatic fold-down ramps at both levels. The yellow edges are OSHA-standard visibility markers — they signal the platform boundary to the operator and anyone nearby. The lift runs on a standard 120V outlet, requires no pit excavation, and fits inside the existing stair width with six inches of clearance on each side.

Common Questions

Everything Pompano Beach Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Pompano Beach right now?

Straight rails in standard Pompano Beach homes — the Leisureville villas, the Pompano Beach Estates two-stories, the single-level ranch conversions along Federal Highway — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you'll need for most 1970s Palm Aire split-level condos and L-shaped staircases in Cresthaven, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor and weather-sealed models for raised front porches and exterior entry steps run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Do you charge extra for salt-corrosion protection on waterfront homes?

No. Every outdoor install east of I-95 — which covers Pompano Beach Estates, the Intracoastal corridor, Hillsboro Mile, and everything to the beach — ships with marine-grade stainless fasteners and a salt-rated rail coating as standard. We don't tier pricing by zip code. The same protective package goes on a $400k ranch as a $2M waterfront condo.

Are prices higher in a 55+ community like Leisureville or Palm Aire?

Equipment prices are the same regardless of community. What can occasionally add time (not cost) is HOA or condo board approval. Leisureville's board typically approves within 48 hours under fair-housing accommodation rules. Palm Aire requires a building-engineer review of the rail mounting plan, which we submit within 24 hours. We handle all the paperwork — that's included in the quoted price.

Any hidden fees for condo tower installs?

Our quote includes the building-engineer submission, the insurance certificate the condo association requires, and the service elevator booking if we need to bring equipment upstairs. The only variable that can add cost (rarely) is when a building requires its own structural engineer's letter or restricts work to specific hours with overtime labor rates. We tell you before we start — not after.

A word from Luis

Most Pompano Beach families call me after a fall scare — a slip on the terrazzo landing in a 1970s Palm Aire condo, a parent who stopped going upstairs three months ago after a hip replacement, a son in New Jersey who found out his mother has been sleeping on the couch in her Leisureville villa because the bedroom is upstairs.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days.
