Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Los Angeles County

Los Angeles County, CA

From the Lincoln Park Historic District — 45 blocks of Craftsman bungalows, Spanish Revivals, and Victorians on the National Register since 2004, where preserving original oak banisters and heart-pine treads drives every install decision — to the Wilton Heights vintage cottages and the deep-lawn bungalows of Hacienda Park with their stone-column perimeter markers, our team has mapped every historic block in the city. We know which Phillips Ranch two-story tract homes have the wide post-1985 stairs that install in under four hours, which Ganesha mid-century ranches near Cal Poly need a swivel-exit seat at the top landing, and which South Pomona homes along Mission Boulevard fall inside the city's historic overlay zone.

1923 Lincoln Park Craftsman — straight rail on original oak treads

Lincoln Park Historic District, CA Installed March 2026

A 1923 Craftsman bungalow on East Alvarado Street in the Lincoln Park Historic District — one of the 821 structures listed on the National Register. Mr. Delgado had hip replacement surgery at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and his daughter called us while he was still in recovery. The original quarter-sawn oak treads and the banister were both untouchable — the family has lived here since 1974 and the woodwork is the reason they stayed. We bolted the rail directly into the stair treads, never touched the banister or the original spindles, and color-matched the rail finish to the existing oak grain. The chair parks flush at the bottom landing and folds flat so the hallway stays clear for the grandchildren who visit every Sunday.

Phillips Ranch two-story — curved rail with upper-landing swivel exit

Phillips Ranch, CA Installed February 2026

A 1988 two-story in Phillips Ranch with a 90-degree turn at the upper landing — the standard layout for the tract homes built along Brea Canyon Road in the late 1980s. Mrs. Nguyen's son in Walnut called us after she fell on the landing turn and bruised her shoulder. We laser-scanned the full staircase on the first visit, fabricated a custom curved rail that carries her from the foyer to the upstairs hallway in a single continuous ride, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the top so she steps off onto the carpet instead of onto the top tread.

Hacienda Park stone-trim cottage — straight rail past fieldstone wainscoting

Hacienda Park, CA Installed January 2026

A 1930s cottage in Hacienda Park with decorative fieldstone wainscoting along the stairwell wall and the original plaster above it — the kind of detail the Pomona Heritage organization documents in their walking tours. Mrs. Reyes has rheumatoid arthritis and had been sleeping downstairs for three months before her daughter finally called. We mounted the rail into the existing stair treads and routed the track so it clears the stone trim by two inches on each pass. The plaster and the fieldstone are completely untouched.

South Pomona raised entry — weather-sealed outdoor lift on stone paving

South Pomona, CA Installed December 2025

A 1950s ranch along Mission Boulevard with a raised front entry, six exterior stone-paved steps, and a concrete landing that gets direct afternoon sun from May through October. Mr. Martinez is a Korean War-era veteran who qualified for a HISA grant through the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System — we prefilled VA Form 10-0103 and the prescription came from his VA provider within four weeks. The lift is UV-coated against the inland San Gabriel Valley sun, sealed against the Santa Ana wind dust that clogs unsealed rail gearing every October, and bolted into the stone paving with stainless anchors.

Ganesha neighborhood ranch — straight rail on carpeted stairs, bilingual install

Ganesha, CA Installed November 2025

A 1960s ranch near Cal Poly Pomona with carpeted stairs and a grandmother who speaks only Spanish. The entire consultation — measurement, pricing, consent forms, operating instructions — happened in Spanish at the kitchen table. Luis walked Sra. Cabrera through every button twice, at her request, and left a Spanish-language operating manual on the counter. The carpeted treads required standard bracket mounting through the carpet into the subfloor — no carpet removal, no re-stretching, no visible damage. The chair folds flat against the wall so her grandchildren still run up and down without tripping.

Platform Lift

Wilton Heights bungalow — indoor wheelchair platform lift with safety edges

Wilton Heights, CA Installed October 2025

A 1925 Craftsman cottage in the Wilton Heights Historic District where the homeowner uses a power wheelchair full-time after a spinal cord injury. A seated stairlift was not an option — Mr. Park needed to roll onto a platform in his chair and ride to the second floor. We installed an indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges along both sides of the platform, interlocked upper and lower gates, and a battery backup that holds charge through a full power outage. The lift runs on a vertical track mounted to the stairwell wall — the original Craftsman banister on the opposite side is completely untouched. His occupational therapist from Casa Colina Hospital in Pomona signed off on the install the following week.

Common Questions

Everything Pomona Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Pomona right now?

Straight rails in standard Pomona homes — the Phillips Ranch two-stories, the Ganesha ranches, the post-1980 homes along Temple Avenue — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for the 90-degree landing turns common in Phillips Ranch tract homes and La Verne split-levels run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor lifts for the raised stone-paved entries along Mission Boulevard run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices higher in the Lincoln Park or Hacienda Park historic districts?

Equipment prices are identical citywide — we don't mark up for a historic address. What can vary slightly is labor time when we're working around original 1920s millwork in Lincoln Park, matching rail finish to century-old oak in Wilton Heights, or routing the track past decorative stone trim in Hacienda Park. We itemize those line items upfront on the written quote. No surprise surcharges after the fact.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Pomona assessment can be conducted entirely in Spanish — Luis is bilingual and has walked dozens of families in Ganesha, South Pomona, and along Holt Boulevard through every line of the paperwork in their preferred language. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

Is a used or refurbished stairlift an option for Pomona homes?

We carry certified refurbished straight-rail units starting around $2,200 installed — same warranty on parts and labor as new, with a reconditioned motor and fresh upholstery. Refurbished curved rails are rare because every curved rail is manufactured to a specific staircase geometry, so a used one almost never fits a different home. If budget is the deciding factor, a refurbished straight rail plus financing at 0% APR can bring the monthly cost under $60.

A word from Luis

Most Pomona families call me after someone has already stopped using the upstairs bedroom — a father in a Lincoln Park Craftsman who sleeps on the living room sofa after a knee replacement, a grandmother in a Hacienda Park bungalow whose daughter drives in from Diamond Bar every morning to help her down seven steps.

My job: drive out within 24 hours, measure your staircase, hand you a written price good for 30 days. No pressure, no gimmicks. En español si lo prefiere.
