Stairlift Service Across Polk County

Polk County, FL

From Village 1 — one of the original sections with 1990s floor plans and narrower stair widths — to the newer homes along Pleasant Hill Road with post-2005 construction and wider treads, our team has mapped every stair shape Poinciana builds. We know which Solivita homes require ARB pre-approval and specific finish requirements, which Village 2 tract homes have tile-on-concrete treads that need masonry anchors, and which sections along Cypress Parkway have split-level entries requiring a curved rail. Bilingual service — English and Spanish — on every call.

Village 2 — bilingual install on tile treads for a multigenerational household

Village 2, FL Installed March 2026

A 1997 two-story in Village 2 with dark hardwood-look tile treads and an open tread design on the main staircase. Luis walked Sra. Colón through every button in Spanish, twice. The rail bolts directly into the treads on the right side — masonry anchors rated for the tile substrate. The seat folds up at the bottom landing when not in use, keeping the full stair width open for the grandchildren. Sra. Colón rides it four times a day and her daughter says she hasn't mentioned the stairs once since.

Solivita 55+ community — ARB-approved curved rail around the upper landing

Solivita, FL Installed February 2026

A two-story villa inside Solivita's gated 55+ community where the staircase curves 90° around a half-wall at the upper landing — framed art on the wall, chandelier above. The HOA architectural review board required pre-approval, a specific rail color, and post-install photo confirmation. We submitted the Florida Fair Housing Act accommodation packet with the ARB application, received approval in 11 business days, and installed the curved rail in the board-specified ivory finish. The chair parks flush at the top floor landing so Mrs. Pellegrino steps off directly onto the hallway rather than the top step.

Village 1 — compact straight rail in a 1993 home with tile treads

Village 1, FL Installed January 2026

A 1993 two-story in Village 1 — one of the original developed sections of Poinciana — with stone-look tile treads and a compact stairwell next to a wooden sideboard and potted plant. The narrower floor plan of that era left barely enough clearance for a standard rail, so we specified the slim-profile model. The seat folds against the wall next to the sideboard when parked, keeping the traditional cottage feel of the entryway intact. Señora Reyes's daughter said the house looks exactly the same as it did before the install.

Cypress Parkway — weather-sealed outdoor rail on a stone-paved front porch entry

Cypress Parkway, FL Installed December 2025

A 2001 home off Cypress Parkway where Mr. Davis — a retired Army sergeant — had a raised front porch with rough stone paving and six exterior steps that turned dangerously slick during every afternoon thunderstorm. His HISA grant through the Orlando VA at Lake Nona covered 90% of the cost. We anchored a weather-sealed outdoor rail into the stone-paved entry, installed the cream-colored seat with a sealed motor housing, and added the hurricane-rated battery. The entire porch entry is now accessible in any weather — Mr. Davis uses the front door again instead of the garage.

Village 6 — straight rail on carpeted stairs for daily use

Village 6, FL Installed November 2025

A home in Village 6 near Marigold Avenue where Mrs. Marrero uses a walker and the carpeted interior staircase had become the hardest part of her day. We installed a straight rail on the carpet-covered treads with the brown-upholstered seat that blends right into the carpet tones — barely visible from the landing. Wall-mounted light switches stayed accessible, and the seat folds flat when her grandchildren use the stairs. Mrs. Marrero rides it four times a day and says the carpet matching was a detail she didn't expect.

Platform Lift

Pleasant Hill Road — indoor wheelchair platform lift for post-surgery recovery

Pleasant Hill Road, FL Installed October 2025

A 2003 two-story off Pleasant Hill Road where Mr. Franklin was recovering from a double knee replacement at Poinciana Medical Center and cannot transfer from his wheelchair to a seated stairlift. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift on the indoor stairway — a flat black anti-slip deck with yellow high-visibility safety edges and a white locking handrail. The orange-toned walls and window light of the stairwell stayed fully visible around the platform. Mr. Franklin rolls his wheelchair onto the deck at the bottom and rides to his bedroom level without any transfers or weight-bearing on either knee.

Common Questions

Everything Poinciana Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Poinciana right now?

Straight rails in the two-story tract homes that make up most of Poinciana — Villages 1 through 7, the Cypress Parkway corridor — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, needed for split-level entries and L-shaped staircases in the older Village 1 and Village 2 floor plans, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact geometry. Outdoor models for raised entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, hurricane-rated battery backup, and the first service visit. All pricing documents available in Spanish.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Poinciana assessment is conducted in Spanish if that's your preference — and in this community, it usually is. Every printed quote, consent form, operating manual, and maintenance guide is available in Spanish at no extra charge. The installer speaks Spanish. The phone rep speaks Spanish. In a community that is predominantly Hispanic, this is not an accommodation — it's how we built the operation.

Are Solivita prices different from the rest of Poinciana?

Equipment prices are the same whether your home is inside the Solivita gate or in Village 3 off Pleasant Hill Road. What varies slightly is the timeline: Solivita's HOA architectural review board requires pre-approval before any interior modification, and some models in the community have specific finish or color requirements. We've filed multiple ARB submissions inside Solivita and know the process. The Florida Fair Housing Act reasonable-accommodation rules apply regardless — we provide the documentation packet at no charge.

Can my daughter in New York be part of the assessment remotely?

Absolutely — and in Poinciana this happens on most calls. The grown child is often the one who found our number and initiated the call on behalf of a Spanish-speaking parent. We'll put the daughter on FaceTime during the assessment so she can see the stairs, hear the measurements, and ask questions in real time. The written quote goes to both parties. In our experience, the best outcomes happen when the whole family is part of the decision — especially when two languages are involved.

A word from Luis

Most Poinciana families call me after a near-miss on the stairs — a slip on the tile treads that every two-story in this community seems to have, a parent who stopped going upstairs three months ago, a daughter in New York who found us online because her mother in Village 2 won't ask for help.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español siempre.
