Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Baltimore County

Baltimore County, MD

We install throughout Pikesville and the surrounding Baltimore County communities. In Stevenson and Greenspring, wide colonial staircases take a standard straight rail cleanly. Villa Nova and Ralston are dense with 1960s split-levels where stairwells run as narrow as 36 inches, so we fit our slimmest rail profile. Sudbrook Park's historic homes often turn at the upper landing and need a curved, laser-measured rail. Scotts Hill and Pickwick bring carpeted treads where the seat tone is matched to the carpet, and homes near Woodholme and Pomona add stone porch entries suited to weather-sealed outdoor lifts. We also serve Garrison, Lochearn, Owings Mills, Milford Mill, Towson and Cockeysville.

Stevenson — straight rail on original dark oak treads

Stevenson, MD Installed March 2026

This Stevenson colonial had a 14-foot straight run of dark oak stairs. Luis mounted the beige rail directly to the hardwood treads and parked the seat at the bottom landing, folded flat against the wall. No wall work — just lag bolts into the treads, finished in about three hours.

Sudbrook Park, MD Installed January 2026

This historic Sudbrook Park home turned 90 degrees at the upper landing. Luis laser-measured the curve and the rail was fabricated off-site to match. The brown seat parks at the top floor beside the half-wall, hugging the contour without touching the plaster. Install took four hours.

Ralston, MD Installed October 2025

Three stone-paved steps led up to this Ralston home's porch entry. Luis anchored a weather-sealed cream unit with an IP55-rated motor housing into the stone and added the lockable key switch. It's run through two Maryland winters of rain and freeze with no issues.

Scotts Hill, MD Installed December 2025

Platform Lift

Anton Woods — indoor wheelchair platform lift

Anton Woods, MD Installed May 2026

This newer Anton Woods home needed access for a full-time wheelchair user, so a seat lift wouldn't do. Luis installed an inclined wheelchair platform indoors — a flat black deck with yellow safety edges and a white handrail — carrying up to 600 lb along a 14-foot run. It folds up at the top when not in use.

Common Questions

Everything Pikesville Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Pikesville?

A straight rail starts at $2,800 installed and a curved rail at $9,000, since the curved version is custom-bent to your staircase. Outdoor lifts start at $4,000 and heavy-duty models rated to 600 lb at $5,050. Every quote includes the in-home measurement, rail, seat, installation, and a 5-year warranty with lifetime rail coverage. Financing runs from $79/month.

Are stairlifts in Pikesville more expensive than in Baltimore City?

No. Pricing is flat across Baltimore County — there's no travel surcharge for Pikesville. Your cost depends only on rail length and the number of turns, both measured on-site. A straight run in Villa Nova and one in the city cost the same per foot.

Does insurance cover stairlift installation in Pikesville?

Original Medicare does not cover stairlifts; it classifies them as home modifications rather than durable medical equipment. Maryland's Community First Choice (CFC) Medicaid program can cover the modification when it's medically necessary, and some Medicare Advantage plans add a limited home-modification benefit. We'll help you check your specific plan.

What financing options are available for Pikesville residents?

We offer financing from $79/month with low- and zero-APR plans. Many Pikesville families also stack the Maryland Accessible Homes for Seniors grant (up to $25,000 for qualifying low-income seniors) or a VA HISA grant (up to $6,800 for service-connected veterans) to cut the out-of-pocket cost.

A word from Luis

I've installed lifts in Pikesville for more than 15 years, and the houses here are anything but uniform. A 1962 Villa Nova split-level might have a 36-inch stairwell that needs the slimmest rail we carry, while a Stevenson colonial gives me a wide, straight run I can mount in an afternoon.

The trickier jobs are the older Sudbrook Park homes, where the stairs bend at the upper landing and a generic kit simply won't follow the turn. I laser-measure those myself and have the curved rail bent to that exact geometry. I'd rather spend the extra hour measuring than hand you a lift that doesn't fit your stairs.

— Luis Ramírez, Pikesville
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Pikesville's housing runs from 1950s split-levels in Villa Nova and Ralston to the historic curved-stair homes of Sudbrook Park and the wide colonials of Stevenson. Each one calls for a different rail, and after 15+ years here Luis measures every staircase in person before quoting.

Whether you're funding the lift through Maryland's Accessible Homes for Seniors grant, the Community First Choice Medicaid program, or a VA HISA grant, the first step is the same: a free in-home assessment, honest pricing, and most installs finished within the week.
