Stairlift Service Across Escambia County

Escambia County, FL

North Hill’s 1920s officers’ bungalows need preservation-sensitive curved-rail installs — we color-match finishes to original heart-pine and tuck the compact seat under narrow archways. East Hill runs a decade newer with steeper treads on 1940s brick ranch-overs where swivel-seat placement at the top landing matters most. Downtown Pensacola’s restored Victorians along Palafox have original turned banisters we mount around without contact. Cordova Park and Scenic Heights are the postwar suburban ring — 1960s split-level ranches with landing turns that require curved rails, plus newer tracts where a straight rail installs in three hours. Out on Perdido Key, elevated beach homes get marine-grade stainless fasteners, sealed IP54 motors, and wind-rated anchors for Gulf salt and storm exposure. We also staff Gulf Breeze, Ferry Pass, and Brent — no travel fees across Escambia County.

1948 East Hill bungalow — compact straight rail on dark hardwood treads

East Hill, FL Installed March 2026

A 1948 brick bungalow in East Hill with original dark hardwood treads worn smooth from seven decades of use. Mrs. Patterson’s daughter called from Atlanta after her mother slipped on the steep open-tread staircase. We bolted a straight rail into the hardwood treads on the right side — never into the wall — and mounted a beige folding seat that sits at the bottom landing ready to go. Three hours from first bolt to final test ride. Mrs. Patterson rode down to the kitchen for lunch while the crew was still packing up.

1926 North Hill cottage — curved rail sweeping around the upper landing

North Hill, FL Installed February 2026

A 1926 cottage in the North Hill Preservation District with a staircase that bends 90 degrees at the upper landing, framed artwork on the wall, and a hallway chandelier overhead. We laser-scanned the full run on the first visit, fabricated a curved rail that threads the turn at the top, and parked the brown upholstered seat on the upper floor where Mrs. Calloway steps off directly onto the hallway — not the top tread. Three finish samples at the first visit; the one that matched the aged heart-pine won. Their church group came for Sunday dinner the following week and nobody mentioned the lift until Mrs. Calloway pointed it out.

1964 Cordova Park split-level — straight rail on stone-tile treads in a compact stairwell

Cordova Park, FL Installed January 2026

A 1964 split-level ranch in Cordova Park with stone tile treads, a cozy landing with a wooden sideboard and potted plant, and a compact stairwell typical of postwar Panhandle construction. Mr. Nguyen had been sleeping on the living room couch for three months rather than attempt the stairs after knee surgery. We fitted a straight rail with a brown folding seat that tucks flush against the wall beside the sideboard, keeping the full tread width open. Masonry anchors into the stone substrate held the rail as securely as wood screws in plywood.

East Hill raised porch — weather-sealed outdoor lift on stone paving

East Hill, FL Installed December 2025

A raised front porch entry in East Hill with five exterior stone-paved steps, natural light from above, and the Gulf Coast’s year-round humidity attacking every unsealed surface. Mrs. Garcia’s husband had fallen on the wet stone steps twice — once badly enough for a Baptist Hospital ER visit. We installed a cream-colored outdoor seat on a weather-sealed rail, anchored into the rough stone paving with stainless-steel fasteners rated for salt-air exposure. The IP55-sealed motor housing has run through an entire Gulf storm season without a service call.

Scenic Heights two-story — straight rail on carpeted treads

Scenic Heights, FL Installed November 2025

A two-story Scenic Heights home with 13 thick-pile carpeted treads and a short hallway at the top landing. Mr. Andersen’s knees had made the daily climb an ordeal since his Navy retirement. We bolted a straight rail through the carpet into the plywood subtread beneath and mounted a brown upholstered seat that blends with the carpet tones. The folding footrest and armrests keep the full stair width clear when the lift is parked at the landing. Flat-mount plates under the brackets protect the carpet from visible wear.

Platform Lift

Downtown Pensacola Victorian — indoor wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Downtown Pensacola, FL Installed October 2025

A restored Victorian row house off Palafox where Mrs. Washington uses a power wheelchair full-time after a stroke. A seated stairlift was never an option — she needed the wheelchair to come with her. We installed an indoor inclined platform lift with a flat black anti-slip deck, yellow high-visibility safety edges on every moving surface, and a white handrail along the indoor stairway. The warm terracotta walls and window light frame the lift naturally. Mrs. Washington’s restoration contractor inspected the install the following week and asked for our card.

Common Questions

Everything Pensacola Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Pensacola right now?

Straight rails in standard Pensacola homes — the East Hill bungalows, the Cordova Park ranches, the post-1980 tracts in the northwest — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, common in North Hill Preservation District cottages and 1960s Cordova Park split-levels with a mid-landing turn, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor and salt-air-sealed models for Perdido Key beach homes and Pensacola Beach elevated entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are Pensacola prices higher because of hurricane-zone requirements?

The equipment itself costs the same as inland Florida. What’s different is that every coastal Escambia County install — from Pensacola Beach through Perdido Key — ships with marine-grade stainless fasteners, sealed motor housing, and wind-rated anchors as standard spec. We don’t charge a separate ‘coastal upcharge’ the way some national chains do. Those components are baseline for any address within 5 miles of the Gulf.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Escambia County assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — our installer Luis is bilingual and conducts Panhandle consultations regularly. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is also available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

Are there additional fees for homes in the North Hill Preservation District?

No additional fee for the historic district itself. Interior stairlifts don’t require Historic Preservation Board review — only exterior-visible modifications on contributing structures trigger that process. If you need an outdoor lift on a contributing home in North Hill, we handle the HPB application at no charge. The only thing that occasionally adds cost is an undersized electrical panel in a 1920s home that needs a dedicated circuit — we quote that up front.

A word from Luis

Most Pensacola families call me after something specific — a stumble on the terrazzo steps of a 1950s North Hill cottage, a retired Navy chief whose knees gave out two years after he left NAS Pensacola, a daughter in Atlanta worried about her father in an East Hill bungalow that hasn’t had a visitor upstairs in six months.

My job is simple: get to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
