Stairlift Service Across San Bernardino County

San Bernardino County, CA

From the tree-lined craftsman blocks along Euclid Avenue — Ontario's National Register historic corridor where 1920s bungalows sit on lots that haven't changed footprint in a century — to the post-2000 two-story stuccos of Ontario Ranch with wide foyer staircases and upper-landing turns, our team has measured stairs in every pocket of the city. We know which Colony-era homes south of Holt Boulevard have Saltillo tile treads that require masonry anchors, which North Ontario ranches have raised front entries with concrete steps needing outdoor-rated lifts, and which De Anza Park subdivisions have the narrow stairwells where only a slim-profile rail will clear the path.

Straight

Euclid Avenue craftsman — straight rail on original hardwood treads

Euclid Avenue Historic District, CA Installed March 2026

A 1920s craftsman bungalow along Ontario's historic Euclid Avenue corridor — original oak treads, dark-stained risers, and a homeowner who made it clear the wood was not to be damaged. Mrs. Delgado's daughter drove in from Riverside after her mother took a bad step coming down from the bedroom. We mounted a slim-profile straight rail directly into the oak treads with stained bolt caps that disappear against the wood grain. The beige seat folds flat against the wall when parked at the bottom landing. Mrs. Delgado told us she'd been sleeping on the couch for three weeks before the install because the stairs felt too risky at night. She slept in her own bed that same evening.

Ontario Ranch two-story — curved rail with 90° turn at the upper landing

Ontario Ranch, CA Installed February 2026

A 2006 two-story stucco home in Ontario Ranch with a wide foyer staircase, a 90° turn at the upper landing, and a chandelier the family asked us to work around. Mr. Nguyen's father had moved in after a stroke and could not manage the fourteen steps to the guest bedroom upstairs. We laser-scanned the staircase on the first visit, fabricated a curved rail that hugs the inner wall through the 90° turn, and installed a brown swivel-exit seat so he steps off directly onto the upstairs hallway. The chandelier hangs untouched. The family's only complaint was that they wished they'd called sooner — Mr. Nguyen Sr. had been sleeping on a recliner in the living room for two months.

Colony neighborhood cottage — compact rail on stone-tile treads

Colony, CA Installed January 2026

A compact 1940s cottage in the Colony neighborhood south of Holt Boulevard — narrow stairwell, Saltillo tile on the treads, and a tight clearance at the bottom where the stairs open into the living area. Mr. Herrera uses a walker and his physical therapist at Kaiser Ontario told him the stairs were the single biggest fall risk in the house. We fitted a slim-profile straight rail with a brown seat and a manual folding footrest that tucks completely out of the path when the chair is parked. The tile treads required masonry anchors instead of standard wood screws — we carry both on every truck because half the older homes in Ontario have tile or concrete stairs. Total install time was just under three hours.

North Ontario raised entry — outdoor lift on stone paving

North Ontario, CA Installed December 2025

A 1970s ranch-style home in North Ontario with a raised front entry, six concrete steps, and a stone-paved landing that bakes in the Inland Empire sun from April through October. Mrs. Sandoval's mother had been entering the house through the garage for over a year because the front steps were too steep for her knees. We installed a weather-sealed outdoor rail with a cream seat, UV-resistant coating rated for the 110°F summer surface temperatures common in western San Bernardino County, and a sealed IP55 motor housing that keeps out the fine dust that blows through the Cajon Pass. The stone paving required custom base plates. Mrs. Sandoval's mother used the front door for the first time in fourteen months the day we finished.

De Anza Park two-story — straight rail on carpeted stairs

De Anza Park, CA Installed November 2025

A 1990s two-story stucco home in De Anza Park with standard builder-grade carpeted stairs and a homeowner recovering from double knee replacement surgery at San Antonio Regional Hospital. Mrs. Payne's surgeon told her she'd be non-weight-bearing on stairs for six weeks post-op, and her bedroom was upstairs. Her daughter called us on a Wednesday and we installed by Friday. The brown seat and brown rail blend into the neutral carpet, the folding footrest clears the path for her husband and grandchildren, and the battery backup kept her moving through two Edison power shutoffs during fire season last October. She told us the lift paid for itself the first week because the alternative was six weeks in a rehab facility.

Platform Lift

Downtown Ontario split-level — indoor wheelchair platform lift

Downtown Ontario, CA Installed October 2025

A 1960s split-level near the Ontario Town Square where Mr. Castillo uses a power wheelchair full-time after a spinal cord injury. The four-step rise from the entry to the main living level made the house unusable without a platform lift. We installed an indoor inclined platform lift with a flat anti-slip deck, yellow high-visibility safety edges on the platform and upper landing, and an automatic gate that locks during travel. The lift runs on standard 120V household power with battery backup. Mr. Castillo's occupational therapist at the Loma Linda VA had recommended the modification, and we coordinated the HISA grant paperwork — the VA covered $6,800 of the total cost. He rolls from the front door to the kitchen without assistance for the first time since moving into the house.

Common Questions

Everything Ontario Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Ontario, CA right now?

Straight rails in standard Ontario homes — the two-story stuccos in Ontario Ranch, the older ranches near De Anza Park, the Colony-era cottages south of Holt — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for split-levels and homes with landing turns run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models rated for Inland Empire heat run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices higher in Ontario than other Inland Empire cities?

Equipment prices are identical whether you're in Ontario, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, or Chino — we don't inflate quotes based on zip code. What can vary slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: masonry-anchored tile treads in older Colony homes, heat-rated battery upgrades for exterior installs, or compensating mounts for foundation-settled treads in pre-1960s houses along Euclid Avenue. We itemize everything upfront. No surprise fees.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language consultations?

No. Luis conducts assessments in Spanish at your request — and in Ontario, where over 70% of residents speak Spanish at home, that's most of our calls. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Spanish. Zero surcharge. For families along Holt Boulevard, in the Colony, and across Ontario Ranch, bilingual service is the default, not the exception.

Is there a travel fee for Ontario or surrounding cities?

Zero travel fees anywhere inside our Inland Empire coverage area — Ontario, Upland, Montclair, Rancho Cucamonga, Chino, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, and Fontana. We're local. The assessment, the install crew, and the service tech all drive from the same coverage team. No out-of-area surcharges.

A word from Luis

Ontario families usually call after a fall scare — a parent who slipped on the tile landing in a 1960s Colony ranch, a grandmother who hasn't been upstairs in her Ontario Ranch two-story since her hip surgery, a son in Phoenix worried about his mother alone in a stucco split-level off Euclid Avenue.
