Stockton Hill Ranches is the 12-phase development north on paved Stockton Hill Road, larger lots in the Hualapai Valley with two-story builds. Common Questions

Everything New Kingman-Butler Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in New Kingman-Butler, AZ?

A straight stairlift in the Butler CDP starts at $2,800 fully installed. Curved rails for the rare split-entry turn in Hualapai Foothill Estates or a 1960s Butler-core addition start at $9,000. Outdoor units start at $4,000, heavy-duty up to 600 lb at $5,050. Final price depends on rail length, turn count, and whether the staircase is a standard Walleck Ranch ranch run or a 1970s slab addition.

Are there hidden fees on a New Kingman-Butler install?

No. The signed quote covers rail, motor, seat, install labor, runner removal if needed, and the 5-year warranty. The one common add-on is the UV-rated seat cover ($85) for outdoor lifts on Hualapai Mountain Road properties — the high-desert sun chews through standard upholstery in about three summers.

What's the monthly payment on a New Kingman-Butler stairlift?

Financing starts at $79/month with 0% APR through Synchrony, subject to credit approval. A $2,800 straight install at 60 months runs about $79/mo; a $9,000 curved at 84 months runs about $130/mo. We run your rate during the in-home estimate so the number is firm before you commit. No trip charge from our Kingman crew.

Does Medicare cover stairlifts in Mohave County?

No — Medicare Part A and B do not cover stairlifts in Arizona because they are classified as home modifications, not durable medical equipment. Arizona ALTCS (Arizona Long Term Care System) under AHCCCS covers them through its home modifications benefit for qualified members, and the VA HISA grant covers up to $6,800 for service-connected veterans through the Kingman VA Clinic at 2668 Hualapai Mountain Road.

A word from Luis

New Kingman-Butler — locals just call it Butler — is the Mohave County CDP that wraps the north side of Kingman, between the Cerbat and Hualapai ranges at about 3,300 feet. Most of what I install here is in a 2000s-2010s Angle Homes tract in Walleck Ranch off Hualapai Mountain Road, or a Stockton Hill Ranches lot north of town where the staircases run to a second-floor loft above an open great room. Standard 36-inch runs, modern carpeted treads, finished basements rare — the soil is too rocky for them out here.

The older Butler core south of Airway Avenue is a different job. 1960s-70s ranches and double-wides on slab, narrow interior runs, framing that has dried out in 50 desert summers. I do NOT quote marine-grade or salt-air packages — we are 200+ miles inland from any coast, so that is a coastal upsell. What I do quote is a UV-rated seat cover for outdoor lifts, a sealed motor housing for the Mohave dust, and the freeze-thaw battery upgrade for the December-February overnight lows. Arizona ALTCS (the AHCCCS long-term care program — never just 'Medicaid waiver') covers the install for qualified members, and the Kingman VA Clinic at 2668 Hualapai Mountain Road is where I send every HISA application.

— Luis Ramírez, New Kingman-Butler
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

New Kingman-Butler is mostly newer Walleck Ranch and Stockton Hill Ranches tract construction with standard staircases, but the older Butler core south of Airway Avenue and the custom Hualapai Foothill Estates lots need a different rail and a different conversation. We measure your actual stairs, quote what fits the Mohave Valley reality, and walk you through Arizona ALTCS or HISA before the install date.

If your parent in Walleck Ranch or off Stockton Hill Road is starting to skip the stairs, call (800) 965-0350. We come out from Kingman, take real measurements, and give you a firm number — including whether ALTCS through your AHCCCS plan or the Kingman VA Clinic's HISA grant will cover the install.
