Stairlift Service Across Grand County

Grand County, UT

We install across Moab and Grand County. Downtown along Main Street and US-191 has early Victorians with steep, narrow stairs that take a tread-bolted straight rail. The 1960s-to-1980s ranches and split-levels off Mill Creek Drive and 400 East suit standard straight and curved rails, while older homesteads and newer builds out in Spanish Valley often add a few exterior steps. Mesa-edge homes along Kane Creek Boulevard and near Old City Park need outdoor rails sealed against summer heat, blowing dust, and freezing winter nights. We also serve Spanish Valley Drive and the surrounding county.

Straight

Main Street — straight rail on original oak treads

Main Street, UT Installed February 2026

A 1910 Victorian near Main Street had a 13-foot staircase with original dark oak treads. We bolted the straight rail directly to the treads, leaving the historic trim untouched, with the beige seat parked at the bottom landing. Three hours, no wall damage.

Mill Creek Drive — compact rail on tiled treads

Mill Creek Drive, UT Installed April 2026

A 1980s cottage-style home off Mill Creek Drive had a 12-foot flight on stone-tiled treads beside a wooden cabinet. We fit a compact straight rail that hugs the wall tight, with the seat folding flush when not in use so the family can still pass on foot.

Outdoor

Kane Creek Boulevard — weather-sealed outdoor porch lift

Kane Creek Boulevard, UT Installed January 2026

A mesa-edge home on Kane Creek Boulevard had a flagstone porch entry. We anchored a powder-coated outdoor rail into the stone treads, sealed against Moab's 100-plus-degree summer sun, blowing red dust, and freezing winter nights, so the entry stays usable year-round.

400 East, UT Installed May 2026

A standard two-story off 400 East had a 20-foot carpeted flight. We installed a straight rail with brown upholstery that blends into the carpet tone, and the seat folds compactly at the landing so the rest of the household uses the stairs as usual.

Common Questions

Everything Moab Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

How much does a stairlift cost in Moab?

A straight stairlift starts at $2,800 installed, which fits most ranch and split-level staircases in town. Curved rails for two-story homes with a turn start at $9,000 because each rail is custom-built. Outdoor lifts start at $4,000 and heavy-duty models at $5,050. You get a fixed written quote before any work begins.

Why is a curved stairlift more expensive than a straight one?

Curved rails are custom-manufactured to your exact turns and landings, which costs more than a straight rail that ships in standard lengths. We laser-measure the staircase on site, then build the rail to match. The result is a lift that follows the bend exactly with no wasted travel.

Are there extra fees for the drive out to Spanish Valley or rural Grand County?

No. We quote the same installed price whether you are downtown on Main Street or out past Old City Park in Spanish Valley. The quote covers the rail, seat, hardware, labor, and battery backup with no rural travel surcharge.

Can I finance a stairlift in Moab?

Yes. Financing starts at $79 per month with 0% and low-APR plans for qualified buyers. Many families pair financing with the Utah New Choices Waiver or a VA HISA grant to cut the out-of-pocket cost. We can walk through the numbers during your free assessment.

A word from Luis

Moab homes fall into a few clear types. Downtown around Main Street I work on early Victorians with steep, narrow stairs and original trim, so I bolt the rail to the treads and leave the woodwork alone. Most of the rest of town is 1960s-to-1980s ranches and split-levels off Mill Creek Drive and out in Spanish Valley.

The thing people forget here is the desert swing. A porch can hit well over 100 degrees in July sun and then drop below freezing on a winter night. For outdoor steps and mesa entries I run the sun- and dust-sealed outdoor rail so it keeps working through both extremes.
