Does insurance cover a stairlift in Miami?

Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) does not cover stairlifts — it classifies them as home modifications, not durable medical equipment. Some Medicare Advantage plans offer a home-modification benefit. Oklahoma's ADvantage Medicaid waiver covers environmental modifications, including stairlifts, for eligible seniors and adults with disabilities. Private long-term-care policies sometimes include home-modification coverage.

Will the stairlift damage my stairs or walls?

How do I apply for the HISA grant through the Vinita VA Clinic?

First, your VA primary care provider writes a prescription stating the stairlift is medically necessary. Then you submit that prescription with VA Form 10-0103 to the HISA program at the Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System. The Vinita VA Clinic at 27371 South 4410 Road and the Jack C.
