Bestseller

The workhorse of Cobb County’s two-story homes — from East Cobb colonials to West Cobb new-builds. Over 65% of the stairlifts we install across Marietta and Cobb County are this model. A single straight run, the rail bolts to your stair treads (never into the wall), the seat and footrest fold up out of the way, and the heat-tested battery backup keeps you moving through the summer thunderstorm outages. Every Cobb County install ships with a desiccant pouch inside the motor housing because Georgia HVAC cycling drives condensation into the rail cavity. Most installs wrap in under four hours.

Starting at $3,200 installed

  • Battery backup for power outages
  • Swivel seat with safety lock
  • Two wireless remote controls

Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Cobb County

Cobb County, GA

From the 19th-century Victorians near Marietta Square — the Church Street and Cherokee Street historic districts where original heart-pine treads and wooden banisters demand a rail that never touches the millwork — to the 1970s split-level ranches across East Cobb where the mid-landing turn makes a straight rail impossible, our team has mapped every housing era in the city.

We know which Victory Heights cottages from the 1940s Bell Bomber era have narrow, steep staircases needing compact-profile rails. We know the Whitlock Heights brick homes along Whitlock Avenue with mature hardwood floors no homeowner will let anyone refinish. We know which West Cobb new-builds off Dallas Highway have the wide open-foyer staircases that install in under three hours. Dobbins Air Reserve Base sits inside the city limits — we coordinate HISA paperwork for veterans through the Atlanta VA Health Care System at 404-321-6111.

East Cobb colonial — straight rail on carpeted treads, same-week install

East Cobb, GA Installed March 2026

A 1986 two-story colonial off Lower Roswell Road with 14 carpeted treads and a simple wooden banister. Mrs. Richardson had a total knee replacement at WellStar Kennestone in February and needed the lift working before she came home from rehab. Her son called us on a Wednesday, we assessed on Thursday, and installed on Saturday. The rail bolts into the treads through the carpet — we cut small access holes at each bracket point, drilled into the stringer below, and tucked the carpet back around each bracket so there’s no visible seam. The beige seat parks at the bottom landing against the wall.

90° landing turn in a 1978 East Cobb split-level

East Cobb, GA Installed February 2026

A 1978 split-level off Johnson Ferry Road with six steps from the foyer to the main living level, a mid-landing with a 90-degree turn, and eight more steps to the bedrooms. A national chain told the Nolans they’d need two separate lifts, one for each run. We laser-scanned the full staircase, fabricated a single curved rail that rides the entire run in one continuous track, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the upper landing so Mr. Nolan steps off onto the hallway floor. The red-clay foundation had settled about 3/8 of an inch over 48 years — we shimmed the rail brackets to compensate.

Church Street Victorian — slim rail matched to 1890s heart-pine treads

Church Street Historic District, GA Installed January 2026

An 1892 Victorian in the Church Street-Cherokee Street Historic District, two blocks from Marietta Square, with original heart-pine treads, a turned-spindle banister, and a homeowner who has lived there since 1971. Mrs. Prescott’s first sentence on the phone was ‘I will not have medical equipment in my front hall.’ We brought finish samples to the first visit, specified the slim-profile rail in a warm pine-tone finish, and bolted the track into the treads without touching a single spindle or the original newel post. The chair parks flush against the wall at the bottom landing near a wooden sideboard.

Whitlock Heights — weather-sealed outdoor rail on a brick front entry

Whitlock Heights, GA Installed December 2025

A brick ranch in Whitlock Heights with a raised front porch, seven brick-and-mortar steps, and stone paving at the base of the entry. Mr. Collins is a retired Lockheed Martin machinist who spent 28 years at the Marietta plant and qualified for a HISA grant through the Atlanta VA Health Care System. We prefilled VA Form 10-0103, the prescription came from his Atlanta VA provider within three weeks, and installation was authorized the week after. The cream weather-resistant seat is UV-coated for the long Southern sun, and the sealed hardware is stainless steel — no corrosion in two Georgia seasons.

Victory Heights — compact rail in a 1943 Bell Bomber worker cottage

Victory Heights, GA Installed November 2025

A 1943 cottage in Victory Heights — built during the war for Bell Aircraft plant workers. The stairs are narrow and steep by modern standards, with carpeted treads and a simple railing. Mr. Tate, 83, bought the house in 1969 and had been sleeping in the recliner downstairs for two months because the stairs had become impossible after a fall. We fitted a compact-profile straight rail that clears the narrow stair width, bolted into the treads without widening or modifying anything, and the brown-upholstered seat matches the carpet tones on the landing.

Platform Lift

West Cobb — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a post-surgical veteran

West Cobb, GA Installed October 2025

Mr. Franklin served 20 years in the Air Force and uses a power wheelchair after a service-connected spinal cord injury. The family’s 2008 home off Dallas Highway has a 13-step rise from the garage entry to the main living level — too many steps for a portable ramp and too steep for a standard transfer. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip deck, yellow high-visibility safety edges, and a white handrail along the indoor stairway. The orange-toned accent wall and window behind the lift stayed untouched. The HISA grant through the Atlanta VA covered the full installation. The platform folds flat against the wall when not in use and has run daily for six months without a service call.

Common Questions

Everything Marietta Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Marietta right now?

Straight rails in standard Marietta homes — the East Cobb colonials, the Whitlock Heights brick ranches, the newer West Cobb builds — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you’ll need for the 1970s–80s East Cobb split-level landings, the Victorian staircases near the Square, and any staircase with a mid-landing turn, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front porches and covered entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, heat-tested battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Marietta than intown Atlanta?

Equipment pricing is identical whether your home is in Marietta, Sandy Springs, Buckhead, or midtown Atlanta. What can vary slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: threading a curved rail past an 1880s banister in the Church Street Historic District, shimming brackets to compensate for red-clay foundation settlement in a 1940s Victory Heights cottage, or matching rail finish to original heart-pine treads near the Square. We itemize every line. No Cobb County surcharges.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Cobb County assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis handles bilingual consultations across the metro and leaves behind Spanish-language operating manuals, printed quotes, and consent forms. Marietta’s Hispanic community along Canton Road and the South Marietta corridor receives the same service at the same price. Zero surcharge.

Any hidden fees for 55+ community or HOA installs?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. We’ve worked with managed communities and 55+ associations across Cobb County — the reasonable-accommodation letters under the Fair Housing Act are already templated. What can add cost (rarely) is when a board requires its own engineer’s letter or a formal Architectural Review Board submission. If that happens, we tell you before work begins — not after.

A word from Luis

Marietta calls come in layers — a grown child in Buckhead worried about a parent alone in a 1960s East Cobb split-level, a retired Lockheed machinist in Victory Heights whose knees haven’t been right since 2019, a couple near the Square who built their two-story in 1987 and never thought the stairs would become the conversation.

I drive to your door within 24 hours, measure the staircase with a laser, and hand you a written quote that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. If you qualify for the Georgia EDWP Medicaid waiver or a VA HISA grant through the Atlanta VA, I’ll walk you through the paperwork before we talk price. En español si lo prefiere.
